We had a lovely pre theatre meal - the restaurant we busy, but the waitress was aware we had to get out in time for the show. The food was great, most dishes came with humus, so when we go next time we won't get humus as one of the dishes. There were 4 of us and we had 8 mezes, which was more than enough. We also had a free little baclava at the end of the meal.
The restaurant is very pretty, good decor, and food is great quality and reasonably priced. HOWEVER, they were 2/3 full on our visit and just didn't seem able to cope with the volume. They took 20 mins to serve any wine. Always a good tip to keep people calm. When food came, they forgot 25% of it. When the bill came they had all the forgotten food on the bill, as well as a few things we had not ordered - nearly 40% extra if I had not happened to check. They took it off immediately, but its a big error. In summary, ir is a lovely place, but they get easily flustered, and make mistakes. Be clear on what you ordered and go with pleanty of time
This little restaurant is a total gem... perfect for pre theatre dinner as it’s seconds from Hampstead theatre.. the food is delicious and the service is excellent.. one of the most efficient and best waitresses I have ever encountered.. GO AND VISIT.. you won’t be disappointed..
Fantastic value, delicious food, excellent service! Could not fault it.
Great Food. They only had 1 waitress, not have enough staff to cope with the demand. We got there at before 6pm and had to go to the counter to order at about 6.30pm. starter arrive at 6.45 and main at 7.10pm. we had a play booked for 7.30pm which they were aware. Hence it was not a pleasant meal as we were on edge all the time and could not really relax and enjoy food
Good for the kind of post-movie informal meal which we had. Good value but rather uninspiring and mediocre food
The waitress was so rude and didn’t come up to check us if we need anything and we were there for two hours. We didn’t have the best experience because of poor customer service
This is a real gem, and although we have visited the Hampstead Theatre many times, we were unaware of its existence, and being so close to the theatre. Great food, very pleasant service, and excellent value for money. We will definitely eat here again.
We came early, so was very quiet; food quite good, I particularly liked the lamb chops.
Lovely food, very quick, charming staff, perfect if you are going to the theatre.
Cute little restaurant and comfy seats - although don’t sit near the door as door doesn’t close and we near enough froze. Unfortunately it did not get better. The food was bland and the chips were obviously re-fried. Service was efficient but bordered on rude. Then came the bill which, based on the quality of food and service, was high.
My wife and I recently ate at Arabesque. I had the ground lamb kabob and my wife had the lamb and chicken kabob. Each meal was great and the service was very good. I'll add the information that they now have a good wine list...an earlier review stated that you had a choice of white or red...that's changed. All in all, we had a very nice time and will repeat...the Arabesque is a hidden gem in Swiss Cottage.
Great food, amazing service, would absolutely recommend especially if you’re going to the theatre
Pretheatre date/ Dinner: the food was good but please go with plenty of time for your pretheatre dinner. Their speed of service is “restricted “ by the Deliveroo orders they have to accept and takeaway orders and as a result during the peak timings of pretheatre diners the speed of delivery to restaurant seating down guests are compromised. There’s only 1 woman taking order, accepting orders and serving to everyone. The decor is basic nothing fancy
Thoroughly enjoyable meal, delicious food and excellent service. Would definitely recommend.
Nice food and lively atmosphere. Good place for friends meet up. Good location in Borough Market
Arabesque was fine for a pre theatre light meal. Restaurant was quite empty however service was very slow and waiter/ waitress paid little attention to the diners.
Food was tasty.
Good food and plenty of it. Good value attentive staff
Really loved the ambience and food in this restaurant
We were on vacation in London and invited my cousin & her husband for dinner. We were staying at the nearby Marriott.
The place is small and cozy. We selected the mezze for 4 persons. There were 16 hot and cold items. The food was delicious and plentiful. My cousin took a generous doggy bag home !
The wine was also good and reasonably priced. Great value for money overall.
The place was quiet the evening we went. Would go again if in the area again.
A great little restaurant with excellent food and friendly, sensitive service. We will come again.
Good food , well priced and liked the complimentary extras
This is the 5th time I have been and never disappointed. Will always go back , great food and wonderful service.
A hidden gem of a restaurant. Delicious food and great value for money. The lovliest place I have found to eat in London for an authentic experience.
Good food, reasonable quickly served (though it can be slower when busy), great value
Lovely friendly and convivial place. Delightful service.
Excellent food, attentive service and great value for money
Great and reasonable food. Went for pre-theatre after finding Del Aziz at the Leisure Centre had closed. On a Friday night, it was completely full; lovely staff but not enough of them and they were under pressure. We could not order dessert or coffee and there would not have been time. I would go back withough hesitation. On leaving, its' upmarket neighbour had just two tables occupied!
We had the pre theatre option - the food was lovely and we couldn’t eat it all.
Pleasant staff and very good value.
Will definitely return.
Very good food (big portions) and excellent attentive service.
Our food was lovely. The waitress was attentive and keen to explain the dishes. She thoughtfully took note of our time limitations as we were watching a play nearby. She prompted our coffee order and took payment swiftly. The restaurant is very welcoming.
We would certainly recommend to our friends and will go back in the future.
Food delicious. Waitress lovely. Totally disorganised. Table booked for 7pm. First food arrived at 8.40 pm. She brought us nothing other than olives whilst waiting. Then waited ages for main courses. Won’t go again. Wasn’t waitress fault. Management needs to get more organised
Great Mezza platter and Lebanese wine. They were out of or top choice of red bur recommded an appropriate rose
Excellent - just what we wabted before the theatre. Wish there was a reataurant like this near where I live
Good, simple Lebanese food at reasonable prices in a pleasant ambience.
Wonderful service and tasty food. Ideal restaurant for people like me who are vegetarians. We got a nice table in the seating area upstairs- private and intimate for friends, family and lovers alike.
Would definately go there again.
Food is good if a little slow. there was only waitress serving on a Saturday night who was kept very busy
Lovely family Meze meal. Excellent value, quality and service
Great for a pre-theatre meal. Just round the corner from Hampstead Theatre. Lovely food.
The food is very inventive, not the usual middle eastern fare. The service is great, especially since there was only one server for the entire restaurant.
