Arabica Bar & Kitchen
Our dearly loved bare brick Victorian railway arch is home to our first restaurant in the heart of Borough Market – where our journey started way back in the early Noughties as ‘Market Traders’. Join us at the polished concrete bar to watch our chefs at work and linger over a Levantine-inspired cocktail, or hunker down in one of our banquettes for a middle-eastern inspired feast.
Atmospheric at any time of day with the lively bustle of market life and a soundtrack to lift your spirit – we’ll be serving our signature breakfast with Workshop coffee, a vibrant array of colourful meze and small plates, flatbreads from the clay oven and gently spiced meats from the charcoal grill.
A convivial place for family, friends, or solo enjoyment, anytime of day.
Wonderful tapas style meal. Everything that should be hot was hot! Good size portions. Friendly atmosphere. Quick service. Delicious!
Food was really good and so was the service. Only thing I would recommend is that you come up with sharing platter menus so a large group could just order the platter which will have a good selection.
Delicious food, great for vegetarians.
Friendly waiter. Will definitely go back!
Delicious food, great atmosphere, will definitely recommend to friends.
Food is excellent but ambiance of the restaurant lets it down: tables are small and too close together. Restaurant is also very noisy.
Great food and service. Fabulous cocktails. Just a little too loud as a result of its popularity. But we are middle aged!
The food is great at Arabica, especially the lamb chops!
I have always enjoyed my visits to Arabica. I would say it is on the relatively more expensive side but the food has always been reliably good and atmosphere buzzing too.
Chose this place to celebrate my husband's birthday with his friends. We were terribly late but the staff were very understanding and we had a really fun and pleasant time.
Lovely experience overall with amazing food and service!
Very cozy place, delicious food and fantastic service. But the noise was far too high for a normal conversation.
Food was a little overpriced. Everything was nice enough without being spectacular.
Went to Arabica due to a friend's suggestion and it was fantastic - right up our street. Lovely friendly staff, wonderful tasting food that we all shared, and surprisingly great value compared to most of London restaurant prices. We stuffed ourselves (to the point where I think we had about a third of the menu, including pudding!) and had a bottle of wine which came to £40 a head. It was so good that we're going back next week with the teenagers as a half term treat.
Tables are tightly squeezed into the small
Space so of you are planning on having a private conversation, I would pick a different place. Food is fantastic though!
Very good ... service brilliant ... Iman was fantastic
Meeting up with friends visiting from Canada
Some dishes the portions are small but taste does make up for it
Delicious lunch served mezze style. Good, not intrusive service. We were 3 generations (25 - 85) and we all enjoyed every aspect of our lunch date.
We go to this restaurant quite often, and normally have good food but was very disappointed on this visit, it seems like things have changed.... the beef kebabs were tough and chewy. And we was more or less told to have our wine as a carafe, when we only wanted a glass, and when it was time for dessert, you have removed the dessert wines from your wine list.. ?? Saying people don’t drink it! ... waited 15mins for our table even tho we booked, with no room at the bar?
Still, there are other restaurants In borough Market perhaps we will try those !!
The food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back there.
The portions are smalk so it is a bit teicky if your are ordering in group to sharex but the prices are reasonable so it will not turn up very expensive if you need to order double some dishes. The food is very tasting. The place is quite small and we were sitting in front of the toilet and next to the kitchen, not ideal. The service was not very friendly, but nothing to complain about.
My second visit in a month and had another great experience. Absolutely would recommend this restaurant.
Loved this place. Yes it was a busy vibrant Saturday lunchtime but the service was excellent and the food was wonderful .It had a great ambience ,just what you want for a weekend lunchtime. Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to go again the next time I am in London
Food was lovely however service was very inconsistent. Front of house staff were rude - we had a pram and they were not very accommodating as to where we should put it. We had a table booked for 8 so you would think that they would be more accommodating or try and find a solution as to where to put a pram. 2 team members shrugged their shoulders and didn’t offer any solution as to what we should do. Our server was lovely and friendly. However when we ordered drinks we had to order them multiple times as they never arrived.
Excellent food and generally good service. Enjoyed everything we ordered off the menu and good wine too.
A bit expensive for what they offer. Anyway the food was good
Great food; great atmosphere; great location; and great service
As much as I wanted to give an excellent review for this place, it just could not get there. My friend arrived before me and asked to sit in a different part of the restaurant, but was told there was no other place to sit - the restaurant was quite empty. The menu was not as accommodating as I thought it would be, was not able to have much due to too much spice in foods - due to allergies. Our waiter was attentive and would always check which choices I wanted could be eaten due to the spices. Being that there is so much hype about vegan/gluten friendly food, found that this place was not able to cater for diners who do not eat mushrooms/spices.
Excellent food wine and service was second to none; great atmosphere and although busy we were looked after perfectly - great evening all round. Thankyou; will be back.
Good middle eastern food. A little pricey for portion sizes but good flavours and decent presentation.
Loved the restaurant. Met a friend to catch up and the venue was great. It was really central in an atmospheric railway arch. On a Monday night it was buzzy and clearly popular but we could chat away. The front of house and bar staff were lovely, warm and uber professional. The food was delicious, really generous sharing plates which meant if something was delicious (and it all was) it meant you could still have bit more despite sharing. Delicious takes on mezze style eating the squid and lamb with dates particularly yummy. Really nice casual with friends dining. Great cocktails too!
Food & Service amazing -just a bit squashed in -could hear the people next to me better than my friend opposite me -& she’s not quiet! Was a bit unimpressed to be hurried out too as next people booked for table. As great as the food was it’s a bit too popular & busy so for me spoiled the experience.
Top marks! This place is great. Such a delicious varied menu. Cocktails are different twists on classics and really tasty. Atmosphere is great, great to walk around Borough then have a long lunch here. Will definitely be back.
The restaurant was packed with far too many tables for the space. We were stuck almost elbow to elbow with tables on either side and I couldn’t even move my chair back because there was someone sat right behind me. It was absolutely terrible and not what I would expect in a good restaurant. The customer service was also awful.
I went with a party of four last Friday evening. The food was excellent, and so was the service - attentive without being intrusive. The only downside was that it is quite noisy. Of course, it was a Friday evening and the restaurant with full of diners who had just finished a busy week, but it did make the meal a bit less relaxing than we would have liked. Perhaps the music could be turned down at such times? Anyway, overall we have a really nice evening, so thank you.
The food was excellent as always, we did not feel rushed, perfect catch up with my friends. We probably overordered a bit, the portions seemed fairly big, so 3 dishes per person was probably too much.
Family get together and first time at Arabica, absolutely amazing! Staff so attentive, food fabulous and really good value for money. Definitely coming back
This was our third visit to Arabica. Great food, excellent service and brilliant location. Whether for couples, families or group of friends there is something for everyone. You will not be disappointed.
The food was OK (beef was a bit tough), so we were disappointed given the reviews we'd read were all so positive. The tables were way too close together, so we didn't feel like we had a private space and because of that it was too noisy!
I come here for dinner everytime I am in London. Excellent (and vegetarian friendly) food and very interesting selection of cocktails.
