Arabica Bar & Kitchen
Our dearly loved bare brick Victorian railway arch is home to our first restaurant in the heart of Borough Market – where our journey started way back in the early Noughties as ‘Market Traders’. Join us at the polished concrete bar to watch our chefs at work and linger over a Levantine-inspired cocktail, or hunker down in one of our banquettes for a middle-eastern inspired feast.
Atmospheric at any time of day with the lively bustle of market life and a soundtrack to lift your spirit – we’ll be serving our signature breakfast with Workshop coffee, a vibrant array of colourful meze and small plates, flatbreads from the clay oven and gently spiced meats from the charcoal grill.
A convivial place for family, friends, or solo enjoyment, anytime of day.

Fantastic food as always and great to see so many measures being put in place to ensure safe dining for guests and staff!
Good place to go. Staff very good and ensure all customers are looked after. Food is great. Worth booking a table.
Staff were great but we felt a bit rushed. Food was ok but not brilliant, some things a bit dry and lacking in flavour.
Great food, even better staff
We visited Arabica on a really hot evening. We'd requested a table inside, thinking there would be air con, but it was so hot i think it was struggling to cope. Without any fuss our waitress sorted out a table for us outside. The hygiene practices they have in place are brilliant - all very reassuring, and staff members were all serving in a great, socially distanced way. The food was delicious - we had a mixture of hot and cold mezze and a pide pizza. With the Eat In to Help Out discount it was great value for money, but i think it's good value even without the discount given the location, food and quality of the ingredients.
One of our favourite restaurants. The food is indescribably good and the service is fantastic. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Arabica!
Delicious food, great for sharing!
They have a lovely selection of dips which come alongside freshly cooked pita, which was amazing.
Perfect for a lunch date with friends and the staff were working hard to keep everyone safe.
Really delicious food with great service too. It's a tad on the expensive side but it's Borough, no surprises. Best Baba ganoush I've had in ages. Great menu with a couple of delicious sweets and Turkish coffee to finish off.
Food was delicious! But I found some plastic in my piece of pied. Also my boyfriend ordered several beers which either were not delivered or were delivered but much later. We ordered way too much but no one told us about portion sizes!
The food was fantastic, the drinks were great, our waiter was a delight, and until the last ten minutes of our experience, my husband and I had a great time here. Let me first say, I’ve been here before during COVID regulations (about a month ago), and I was appreciative of the restaurant’s respect for the rules and meticulous protocol. However, upon getting up to leave the restaurant’s outdoor area today, I stepped towards the door to visit the bathroom and was told staunchly to return to my table. I was wearing a mask and thought perhaps the front-of-house staff might have thought I was trying to order from the bar, so I got up again and asked to use the bathroom. He once again scolded me, saying “no! I need you to wait outside.” Assuming he was trying to step outside himself, I waited for him to pass, and then a waitress asked if she could help me. Again I said, “Can I step inside to use the bathroom?” And she replied, “not a problem, straight ahead.” As I stepped over the threshold of the door, the original front-of-house staff member placed himself in front of me and scolded me like a child, saying “no! You need to wait outside.” He then directed his attention to the helpful waitress, berating her in some form or fashion. My husband had just returned from the bathroom with no problems. At that point I had seen enough, and left. It’s such a shame, despite the great food and drinks, I will probably not return. The experience was harsh and jarring enough to make me feel like a second-class citizen, and I really don’t want to pay 110 pounds again for that to happen.
I appreciate businesses following the new and evolving rules we have to abide by given the state of the world right now. I happily follow the rules at every turn. I am the furthest thing from an anti-masker you will ever find. But just because the rules are rightfully strict doesn’t mean politeness, decency, and respect have to disappear.
They were doing everything they could do to prevent from spreading germs (temp check before entering, hand gel, wearing a mask to to go toilet), so well done for that.
Food was lovely as usual, all good vegetarian food - we ordered a lot so a staff asked us if we were hungry and could eat them all.
No need to worry as everything was in our tummy in the end.
The only thing I felt disappointed was, the oven baked cauliflower wasn't a whole one like before but some florets instead (still tasty though).
We sat near the entrance and windows were open, we were glad no one was smoking then (we hate the smell especially when eating).
We will come back again!
Thank you so much to the wonderful staff that created such an enjoyable evening. Top quality food and great service
Fantastic food, as always. Fantastic service, as always. The gem of Borough Market
The food was great and the service even better. Thank you to the host and waitress for being so nice.
Lovely food, great service and a warm welcome. Thank you.
Excellent food. Service considerate of Covid needs. Music a little loud.
Just so so good! Food great and our waiter was fab!
Really friendly and accommodating with excellent food and service. Made us feel very safe and welcome.
Great meal and service cannot wait to go again
good, nice food, very clean, good covid regulations etc, wasn't sure about the cocktails, really disliked the pistachio sour and asked to change it even for a beer or something but they said no - fair enough i guess - but not very nice taste. food was good, maybe salt and pepper on the table would be good
We went to Arabica as my daughter is vegan and it was suggested by the Borough Market office when I enquired about vegan restaurants and it totally blew away our expectations. Even though my nephew and I are not vegan, we ordered a selection of different vegan dishes and one, the cauliflower with tahini, that was made vegan. In fact the cauliflower was my favourite dish, along with the muhummara (a spicy dip made from roast red peppers and walnuts) although the other two said their favourites were the felafals and the spicy potatoes. Other dishes were aubergine kibbeh and a flatbread pizzetta topped with babaganous, herbs and pomegranate seeds. All of this washed down with cooling mint and lemon drinks. The service was a little tetchy, but given the circumstances and communicating through masks, we have to be more forgiving at the moment. All in all a perfect alfresco summer lunch, and look forward to our next visit.
Nice Restaurant for something different
Limited but adequate menu but
Very welcoming, lovely friendly staff and service was great. Highly recommend
Whilst the service was excellent, and the overall ambience of the place was lovely, the food was really disappointing and felt incredibly over priced. We paid 65 pounds for 2 people for below average food.
They made dining during coronavirus very relaxing and safe. I felt happy to know they had put in a lot of precautions in order to protect the public and their staff. Food, wine and service was amazing. Looking forward to returning
I've been a lot, but this was the first time since lockdown. The food was wonderful, and the service absolutely terrific.
Really enjoyed it!
Great food in a great location . Very good guest experience.
Quite simply the food was amazing!!
Really fresh and delicious mains and the desserts were to die for.
Cocktails were great too!!
Amazing service, amazing food - would recommend to anybody visiting London!
Great early evening meal had. From the temperature check at the door which was handled very well to the excellent food and service then glad to see Arabica back open in the Market.
One of our favourite restaurants in London, as always the food was amazing and service great
A lot of thought has gone in to making people feel safe in this strange new world so if you also love Arabica as we do then go back
I couln'd recommend it more! The food is utterly delicious and so are the coctails. My last visit was in July, as lockdown started to lift, and Arabica has all the right measure in place: staff wear facemasks, use only one side of the table to put down food (to avoid leaning over customers) and there is hand gel at the entrance of the restaurant and toilets. Will be coming back!
1st lunch after lockdown. Quality as outstanding as usual. Restaurant felt very safe and all social distancing measures were in force. Will be back - soon
Wonderful food, great service, efficient biosecurity measures.
Have been here many times. This was the first time I’ve been since it had opened after lockdown. Although the menu was smaller, the quality of food is still very good. Falafel bites are my favourite. Staff remain friendly and the covid- secure measures fine.
Very good food, great service especially given current restrictions. Highly recommend.
Very polite helpful staff. The food and the ambiance were amazing.
As my first dining experience post-lockdown this was a perfect restaurant. The venue has definitely taken the necessary precautions to make its employees and patrons safe. the food was amazing and reasonably priced.
Delicious. Friendly service. Would go back again in a heartbeat! Our table was outside on a slant so only suggestion is to maybe straighten that out so our plates don’t slide off 😃
