Arabica Bar & Kitchen
Our dearly loved bare brick Victorian railway arch is home to our first restaurant in the heart of Borough Market – where our journey started way back in the early Noughties as ‘Market Traders’. Join us at the polished concrete bar to watch our chefs at work and linger over a Levantine-inspired cocktail, or hunker down in one of our banquettes for a middle-eastern inspired feast.
Atmospheric at any time of day with the lively bustle of market life and a soundtrack to lift your spirit – we’ll be serving our signature breakfast with Workshop coffee, a vibrant array of colourful meze and small plates, flatbreads from the clay oven and gently spiced meats from the charcoal grill.
A convivial place for family, friends, or solo enjoyment, anytime of day.

Excellent meal with equally good service. The ambiance was, as usual, very pleasant (despite the difficulties currently surrounding the coronavirus outbreak). An overall very enjoyable evening.
Great food as always. Dips and flat breads perhaps on the pricey side.
The chocolate tahini brownie was amazing, wish I’d had one to myself!
this is the first time I haven’t had a great time at Arabica. One of our party ordered a vegetarian flatbread item and asked if she could substitute mushrooms for something else; the waiter said he would check and come back. When other food started arriving we queried what was happening with the substitution. At that point the waiter said that he had asked for sausage to be added to item as the guest had asked. Only she didn’t - and wouldn’t as she doesn’t eat meat. Then a manager came over and said she would charge us to make another. It was only after a heated discussion that it was agreed that the waiter had made a mistake and an apology and the item we actually wanted prepared. However they still had the cheek to add a 12.5% service charge, but I did not pay that. I hope that this is just one poor experience and that both the waiter and manager were having an off day. But as a result, I will think twice before returning. Which is a shame because the food is lovely.
Fantastic food and service! Well worth a visit if you can get a table, we were a group of 3 and went on Saturday lunchtime but had booked in advance. Definitely will be going back!
You have changed the bread. Instead of those lovely small unxious flat breads , you served pita type which were quite boring. Our waitress tried to give us a close replication but as she had only been there a short time did not know what we were alluding to. Food was still lovely but so missed the flat breads. Please reinstate. Thank you
This was a first visit to Arabica. The service is quite relaxed, taking orders for sharing starters and then coming back for mains. The two hour table time makes is slightly less relaxed though as the time goes quickly when you catch up with friends! Great food - the chicken and pistachio skewer was the best of all.
four of us - oldsters - Friday evening early . great grub ( our friends are proper foodies ) . cheery ambience - bustling ( review website says "energetic" ) quite loud enough for us ... but not so as to spoil the occasion . very pleased - we'd go back .
Yes very good will go again. Might look at how many things I order have the yoghurt dressing in future, as they were pretty similar. You don’t need as much as they say person either, so I’d advise order in small batches, you can always get more later. However, really blooming good and I’d say one of the best eating experiences of the last 12 months for me and I eat out 2-3 times a week.
Food is always of a high quality at this good Middle Eastern diner. Seats have never been comfortable unless placed on a banquette - more than two a necessity. The restaurant feels a little cold but the food more than makes up for the temperature. Good sizes for sharing and enjoying the good vegetarian and vegan options.
One of our favourite places to grab a bite to eat, great flavours and good value for money 👍🏻
Really good food - different dishes to the norm and lovely flavours. Really enjoyed ourselves and it was our first time there. Service was outstanding. Really friendly and caring waiter and manager. We will be back!
Amazingly food, atmosphere and service! Will be back
Beautiful food ,so tasty and freshly made. Apart from the table which moved round which was also sort as soon as ask everything was good. service was so friendly helpful alway come over to check on everything
Great place to bring your team, friends or family. Attentive and friendly restaurant staff and some of the best food in Borough.
Wonderful tapas style meal. Everything that should be hot was hot! Good size portions. Friendly atmosphere. Quick service. Delicious!
Food was really good and so was the service. Only thing I would recommend is that you come up with sharing platter menus so a large group could just order the platter which will have a good selection.
Delicious food, great for vegetarians.
Friendly waiter. Will definitely go back!
Delicious food, great atmosphere, will definitely recommend to friends.
Food is excellent but ambiance of the restaurant lets it down: tables are small and too close together. Restaurant is also very noisy.
Great food and service. Fabulous cocktails. Just a little too loud as a result of its popularity. But we are middle aged!
The food is great at Arabica, especially the lamb chops!
I have always enjoyed my visits to Arabica. I would say it is on the relatively more expensive side but the food has always been reliably good and atmosphere buzzing too.
Chose this place to celebrate my husband's birthday with his friends. We were terribly late but the staff were very understanding and we had a really fun and pleasant time.
Lovely experience overall with amazing food and service!
Very cozy place, delicious food and fantastic service. But the noise was far too high for a normal conversation.
Food was a little overpriced. Everything was nice enough without being spectacular.
Went to Arabica due to a friend's suggestion and it was fantastic - right up our street. Lovely friendly staff, wonderful tasting food that we all shared, and surprisingly great value compared to most of London restaurant prices. We stuffed ourselves (to the point where I think we had about a third of the menu, including pudding!) and had a bottle of wine which came to £40 a head. It was so good that we're going back next week with the teenagers as a half term treat.
Tables are tightly squeezed into the small
Space so of you are planning on having a private conversation, I would pick a different place. Food is fantastic though!
Very good ... service brilliant ... Iman was fantastic
Meeting up with friends visiting from Canada
Some dishes the portions are small but taste does make up for it
Delicious lunch served mezze style. Good, not intrusive service. We were 3 generations (25 - 85) and we all enjoyed every aspect of our lunch date.
We go to this restaurant quite often, and normally have good food but was very disappointed on this visit, it seems like things have changed.... the beef kebabs were tough and chewy. And we was more or less told to have our wine as a carafe, when we only wanted a glass, and when it was time for dessert, you have removed the dessert wines from your wine list.. ?? Saying people don’t drink it! ... waited 15mins for our table even tho we booked, with no room at the bar?
Still, there are other restaurants In borough Market perhaps we will try those !!
The food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back there.
The portions are smalk so it is a bit teicky if your are ordering in group to sharex but the prices are reasonable so it will not turn up very expensive if you need to order double some dishes. The food is very tasting. The place is quite small and we were sitting in front of the toilet and next to the kitchen, not ideal. The service was not very friendly, but nothing to complain about.
My second visit in a month and had another great experience. Absolutely would recommend this restaurant.
Loved this place. Yes it was a busy vibrant Saturday lunchtime but the service was excellent and the food was wonderful .It had a great ambience ,just what you want for a weekend lunchtime. Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to go again the next time I am in London
Food was lovely however service was very inconsistent. Front of house staff were rude - we had a pram and they were not very accommodating as to where we should put it. We had a table booked for 8 so you would think that they would be more accommodating or try and find a solution as to where to put a pram. 2 team members shrugged their shoulders and didn’t offer any solution as to what we should do. Our server was lovely and friendly. However when we ordered drinks we had to order them multiple times as they never arrived.
Excellent food and generally good service. Enjoyed everything we ordered off the menu and good wine too.
A bit expensive for what they offer. Anyway the food was good
