Arabica Bar & Kitchen
Our dearly loved bare brick Victorian railway arch is home to our first restaurant in the heart of Borough Market – where our journey started way back in the early Noughties as ‘Market Traders’. Join us at the polished concrete bar to watch our chefs at work and linger over a Levantine-inspired cocktail, or hunker down in one of our banquettes for a middle-eastern inspired feast.
Atmospheric at any time of day with the lively bustle of market life and a soundtrack to lift your spirit – we’ll be serving our signature breakfast with Workshop coffee, a vibrant array of colourful meze and small plates, flatbreads from the clay oven and gently spiced meats from the charcoal grill.
A convivial place for family, friends, or solo enjoyment, anytime of day.

The food was great and the service even better. Thank you to the host and waitress for being so nice.
Just so so good! Food great and our waiter was fab!
Really friendly and accommodating with excellent food and service. Made us feel very safe and welcome.
good, nice food, very clean, good covid regulations etc, wasn't sure about the cocktails, really disliked the pistachio sour and asked to change it even for a beer or something but they said no - fair enough i guess - but not very nice taste. food was good, maybe salt and pepper on the table would be good
We went to Arabica as my daughter is vegan and it was suggested by the Borough Market office when I enquired about vegan restaurants and it totally blew away our expectations. Even though my nephew and I are not vegan, we ordered a selection of different vegan dishes and one, the cauliflower with tahini, that was made vegan. In fact the cauliflower was my favourite dish, along with the muhummara (a spicy dip made from roast red peppers and walnuts) although the other two said their favourites were the felafals and the spicy potatoes. Other dishes were aubergine kibbeh and a flatbread pizzetta topped with babaganous, herbs and pomegranate seeds. All of this washed down with cooling mint and lemon drinks. The service was a little tetchy, but given the circumstances and communicating through masks, we have to be more forgiving at the moment. All in all a perfect alfresco summer lunch, and look forward to our next visit.
Nice Restaurant for something different
Limited but adequate menu but
Very welcoming, lovely friendly staff and service was great. Highly recommend
Whilst the service was excellent, and the overall ambience of the place was lovely, the food was really disappointing and felt incredibly over priced. We paid 65 pounds for 2 people for below average food.
They made dining during coronavirus very relaxing and safe. I felt happy to know they had put in a lot of precautions in order to protect the public and their staff. Food, wine and service was amazing. Looking forward to returning
I've been a lot, but this was the first time since lockdown. The food was wonderful, and the service absolutely terrific.
Really enjoyed it!
Great food in a great location . Very good guest experience.
Quite simply the food was amazing!!
Really fresh and delicious mains and the desserts were to die for.
Cocktails were great too!!
Amazing service, amazing food - would recommend to anybody visiting London!
Great early evening meal had. From the temperature check at the door which was handled very well to the excellent food and service then glad to see Arabica back open in the Market.
One of our favourite restaurants in London, as always the food was amazing and service great
A lot of thought has gone in to making people feel safe in this strange new world so if you also love Arabica as we do then go back
I couln'd recommend it more! The food is utterly delicious and so are the coctails. My last visit was in July, as lockdown started to lift, and Arabica has all the right measure in place: staff wear facemasks, use only one side of the table to put down food (to avoid leaning over customers) and there is hand gel at the entrance of the restaurant and toilets. Will be coming back!
1st lunch after lockdown. Quality as outstanding as usual. Restaurant felt very safe and all social distancing measures were in force. Will be back - soon
Wonderful food, great service, efficient biosecurity measures.
Have been here many times. This was the first time I’ve been since it had opened after lockdown. Although the menu was smaller, the quality of food is still very good. Falafel bites are my favourite. Staff remain friendly and the covid- secure measures fine.
Very good food, great service especially given current restrictions. Highly recommend.
Very polite helpful staff. The food and the ambiance were amazing.
As my first dining experience post-lockdown this was a perfect restaurant. The venue has definitely taken the necessary precautions to make its employees and patrons safe. the food was amazing and reasonably priced.
Delicious. Friendly service. Would go back again in a heartbeat! Our table was outside on a slant so only suggestion is to maybe straighten that out so our plates don’t slide off 😃
First post Covid meal out and the attention to detail over hygiene, service etc were first class. Good menu, good value and as ever, good customer care. I very nice place to go to get back into the groove of eating out again!!
lovely food, lovely staff, nice vibe
safe/clean and inviting
First meal out after lockdown. Fabulous evening in a Covid-secure environment. Brilliant.
Great food and the restaurant has dealt with the new Covid restrictions really well! A great welcome back to the eating out game after such a long time!
First day of opening following lockdown. The team were super organised with their safety measures yet it didn’t interfere with the ambience or experience. Really friendly, lovely staff, great food and cocktails.
My first re-entry to a lovely restaurant since Covid and it was a delight! Outdoor seating, lovely service style, great food as always
A lovely place to have a relaxed lunch in the heart of Borough market. The food was nice enough but if I’m honest, nothing exceptional. The cocktails were ok but heavily iced and nowhere near as flavoursome as I have experienced elsewhere. Quite overpriced for what you get - this is the trick with these places that offer “small plates”. Very nice efficient and friendly service, however.
Excellent meal with equally good service. The ambiance was, as usual, very pleasant (despite the difficulties currently surrounding the coronavirus outbreak). An overall very enjoyable evening.
Great food as always. Dips and flat breads perhaps on the pricey side.
The chocolate tahini brownie was amazing, wish I’d had one to myself!
this is the first time I haven’t had a great time at Arabica. One of our party ordered a vegetarian flatbread item and asked if she could substitute mushrooms for something else; the waiter said he would check and come back. When other food started arriving we queried what was happening with the substitution. At that point the waiter said that he had asked for sausage to be added to item as the guest had asked. Only she didn’t - and wouldn’t as she doesn’t eat meat. Then a manager came over and said she would charge us to make another. It was only after a heated discussion that it was agreed that the waiter had made a mistake and an apology and the item we actually wanted prepared. However they still had the cheek to add a 12.5% service charge, but I did not pay that. I hope that this is just one poor experience and that both the waiter and manager were having an off day. But as a result, I will think twice before returning. Which is a shame because the food is lovely.
Fantastic food and service! Well worth a visit if you can get a table, we were a group of 3 and went on Saturday lunchtime but had booked in advance. Definitely will be going back!
You have changed the bread. Instead of those lovely small unxious flat breads , you served pita type which were quite boring. Our waitress tried to give us a close replication but as she had only been there a short time did not know what we were alluding to. Food was still lovely but so missed the flat breads. Please reinstate. Thank you
This was a first visit to Arabica. The service is quite relaxed, taking orders for sharing starters and then coming back for mains. The two hour table time makes is slightly less relaxed though as the time goes quickly when you catch up with friends! Great food - the chicken and pistachio skewer was the best of all.
four of us - oldsters - Friday evening early . great grub ( our friends are proper foodies ) . cheery ambience - bustling ( review website says "energetic" ) quite loud enough for us ... but not so as to spoil the occasion . very pleased - we'd go back .
Yes very good will go again. Might look at how many things I order have the yoghurt dressing in future, as they were pretty similar. You don’t need as much as they say person either, so I’d advise order in small batches, you can always get more later. However, really blooming good and I’d say one of the best eating experiences of the last 12 months for me and I eat out 2-3 times a week.
