Arabica Bar & Kitchen
The market is the spiritual home and birthplace of Arabica. James Walters started out at Borough Market, armed with little more than a cool box over 14 years ago and began selling a small range of mezze from an 8ft trestle table.
Arabica Bar & Kitchen is an epicurean exploration of the beguiling flavours and worldly hospitality of the sun drenched lands of the Levant.
A Convivial place for sharing honest produce-led fare in good company.
Nice enough space and location, food was okay but not good enough to justify the prices. Beer was incredibly expensive, half a pint for the price of a pint. Desserts were the best thing on the menu, particularly the brownie
Third visit and still impressed! Delicious, reasonably priced food, great cocktails served by friendly waiting staff.
Friendly reception & at our request for a quiet table rearranged bookings. Still rather noisy obviously a so close to London Bridge so could hear the trains. Service very good & have excellent advice as this was a first time visit. Food delicious & I would go again.
Good food, good ambience. Our waiter kind of forgot about us for a while but other staff stepped in.
Super array of food, especially the filo and spinach parcels along with great local wine
Fabulous food - with rich tastes and lovely textures. Babaganoush, Muhammarah (roasted peppers with walnuts), Squid with lemon jam and Moutabel (smoked aubergine dip) with flatbreads - all amazing. All our main courses a real hit too - Fish Shish, Lamb Adana Kebab, and Chicken & Pistachio Shish. Finally the Lebanese wine - try it ...
Lovely atmosphere with open kitchen and great staff - friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Amazing restaurant, particularly for the friendly service and the great provision for vegans: many vegan options, all delicious, and the staff able to explain what was suitable very clearly. Also no pressure to eat up quickly and move on, even though one of our party arrived late. A real gem.
Excellent friendly service. Comfortable seating. Good food with some of the dishes being great! Really enjoyed lunch at this restaurant!
Excellent food and service, outstanding and lucky enough to get a table outside on a warm sunny evening
I’ve eaten a lot of Lebanese food in London but Arabica takes it to a new level. The menu has all the familiar dishes but each one had a twist - an extra ingredient, a different balance or method of cooking - that works every time. Very sophisticated flavours. The drinks were also delicious. Not cheap but worth it.
This restaurant, located in a prime, sociable location in Borough Market presents the diner with a convergence of the senses of historic Victorian London, the hip and buzzing social Metropolis as well as a firm taste of an Eastern Mediterranean or North African street venue. The food is absolutely outstanding. The music is awesome, the service is quick and attentive but not anywhere like a Brick Lane or Chinatown production line sort of way. Book a table today, it is simply the best!
This was a good find. We went to lunch at Arabica on Saturday. Friendly and courteous staff, authentic tasty food and quick service. We had an enjoyable time. Please keep up your standards and we will be back.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Would recommend for all occasions.
Delicious food. Very busy and we were just by the till so would advise avoiding that if you can. It is in Borough Market though so unsurprising that it is noisy. Reasonably priced and decent quantities. Will definitely go again.
Staff are lovely and attentive. Good food, nice setting.
Great place for vegetarians to try out some really amazing food and wine. Staff also super friendly and helpful 😀
Nice food, but small portions and they add up quickly
Food was excellent, service discreet, price reasonable. Noise was high but this did not marr the overall experience. Would recommend it.
Food was great, a couple of the dishes were more difficult to share than others but overall excellent.
I love Arabica as do several friends. I’ve been coming many times over the past few years. Unfortunately for some reason the food wasn’t quite up to normal standards this time? It was still a great experience, service good and a fab night. But I’m normally raving about the food as this time was not as good as normal, especially the filo and spinach n cheese puff pie.
Waiter was great. Gave really good recommendations. Food was just delicious. Loved everything especially the grilled cauliflower.
This place is awesome! Great food, interesting wine and fab atmosphere
Great little place that serves wonderful food, shame when you’ve they always want to put you by the door though ?
Great service and amazing food! I highly recommend the chicken with pistachio sauce
Great food and great atmosphere and service. good place for small groups
Great service, organised a nice table for us for a birthday celebration and provided a birthday treat!
Buzzing atmosphere. Lovely selection of interesting and tasty dishes. It was our first time and the waiter explained thoroughly the way the menu works, gave good advice as to choices quantities and combinations and was very patient with us. 5 stars to him. On the whole the food was delicious. We found one of the lamb dishes (on skewers) a bit disappointingly tough. The restaurant was noisy and our table by the door (which opened frequently) meant that some of our party were cold. However would recommend for a grazing sociable dinner with friends.
There was a bit of an issue with the booking and although I called to change to add one more person and was assured it would be ok, we spent the dinner all squished together, which was not super confortable. And plates and glasses kept being forgotten. The staff made a nice gesture but that was a bad start.
However the food is amazing, quick to arrive and just nothing bad to say about it. Just wish communication had been better.
Lovely food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic authentic restaurant.
Great food and very tasty. I felt a bit squished getting in and out of my table.
Great place house red excellent lamb kebab delicious
Always enjoy my experience at Arabica, although we were asked to leave after 2hrs without dessert, despite the fact that other tables were empty. We would have stayed and had another drink but we were not welcome.
Lovely place and amazing food! I recommend for a low key dinner.
My friend and I enjoyed the food and drinks and found a few small dishes to be very filling.
Great mediteranean food with a twist.
Only drawback was the Kunefe which is not great and didnt taste original
All of our dishes were excellent. Middle Eastern food at its best in a great location. Highly recommend.
Great food at a decent value. Plates are small but that is the vibe. Staff can be hit and miss.
Absolutely excellent food and really lovely service. I can't recommend this place enough. It isn't cheap, but it is great value.
Best cauliflower I have every eaten! wine list had good value interesting wines.
Beautiful cuisine coupled very attentive and efficient service brought together in a lively, informal ambience made for a great dining experience.
