Arabica Bar & Kitchen
The market is the spiritual home and birthplace of Arabica. James Walters started out at Borough Market, armed with little more than a cool box over 14 years ago and began selling a small range of mezze from an 8ft trestle table.
Arabica Bar & Kitchen is an epicurean exploration of the beguiling flavours and worldly hospitality of the sun drenched lands of the Levant.
A Convivial place for sharing honest produce-led fare in good company.
Amazing food and cocktails, and lovely ambiance! Great place to treat my sister to birthday dinner :)
We had such a great time! Food, service and atmosphere was fantastic!
Had lunch with group of freinds. Waiting staff all helpful, explained menu. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty.
Only downside was that it was very noisy and difficult to hold conversation in a large group.
Loved the food and atmosphere. My only criticism would be that the venue was rather loud and it was difficult to hear what my friends were saying.
Nice Turkish breakfast at the Arabica. Service a little slow but food was great once it arrived. We’ll visit again!
Quick dinner after movies. Busy and buzzy
Absolutely delicious food, loads of options and a great place to try interesting combinations. Great ambience and our waitress was friendly and helpful, making good suggestions.
We really enjoyed our meal here- we came here for a graduation celebration and it was perfect. The food was excellent, particularly the lamb cutlets. The service was excellent, and the menu was explained well to us. Only downside was the noise in the restaurant and sometimes difficult to hear as my dad is hard of hearing, but this was minor! Really enjoyed, will be back!
The food was great, especially the squid. But the noise was a problem, I couldn't have a proper conversation with my friends and we couldn't make out a word that our waiter said. She kept trying to explain the menu and we were baffled.
Lovely space, great interior decor and prompt service. Food and coffee was delicious, brunch menu potentially slightly overpriced for what you get, but overall great flavours and a nice environment.
Tried the new breakfast menu - we loved the halloumi & herb tortilla and the Turkish-style fried eggs with roasted peppers and aubergines. We watched some of the other dishes go past our table which looked equally yummy, will have to go back to try them. We enjoyed the pieces of flatbread that came with each dish - would have liked to have ordered more as a side. Maybe something to be added to the menu?
Amazing food, friendly staff.. I’ve been many times, highly recommend
We came because of my daughter Lucy’s recommendation. Met with friend for first time in 6 years. We were looked after so well- staff amazing. Food - lots of variety and delicious. Have already recommended Arabica to friends. X
Delicious food and great service. The only downside for me is the high noise level.
Great service and pretty good food - very drafty though as we were sitting near the door
Food is lovely. Staff attentive and helpful and knowledgable.
Firstly the service is fab, explained the menu and what we should order. Food excellent, good choice and plenty when arrived. Would highly recommend.
Friendly staff, excellent food, warm atmosphere, prices in line with London average for the area. Super recommended!
The food was fine. My lower ratings for ambience and service spring from the fact that despite a request on our reservation for a quiet table, we were placed quite close between two other tables. Conversation was frustratingly difficult.
A nice twist on Lebanese/Middle Eastern food. Stayed close to the classics with some nice innovations, use of seasonal, local ingredients. All very fresh. Very friendly service (nice work, Jo!). Good for a Sunday lunch in the area when the rest of Borough Market is quiet.
Very good food and wine, kind and nice waitress
Food was really tasty - just wish we had room to try more. Will have to go back. Service very friendly and great, unusual cocktails! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Beautiful food, perfect service and reasonably priced wine! A great Sunday date night.
They always serve lovely vegetarian food - we have plenty of choice.
We tend to order more than enough (a staff gets worried that we might not finish them all) as they look all delicious - and they are!
A bit expensive so we can't visit there regularly but once/twice a year we always enjoy the experience there.
Most of the staff are really friendly, all of them are polite. The food here is always good and they accommodate my friend and his wheelchair with minimal fuss.
Great location, food is freshly prepared, we will be back
We had an excellent meal at Arabica, with a small group aged 25-88. They catered very well for all tastes, including a food allergy. Service was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended. Will definitely go back.
This restaurant was excellent! Service was very friendly and the food outstanding. Maybe the table a little small for all the mezes and was a little loud, but nothing to really worry about. Would recommend and go back when I get the chance.
Turkish delight cocktail is delicious. Good to in a group as there are so many tasty looking dishes. We were a twosome could only eat a fraction of them! Sesame/pistachio also delightful.
The food was delicious and varied. presented in a very appetising way; it is frustrating that you can only eat so much as it is was all very tempting.
Very good and authentic food, but the recommended 3-4 dishes per person was way too much (in food and in money). Would go again but will be more sensible next time!
Great spot in the heart of Borough market. Nice lively ambiance and delicious food. Bit pricey for tapas size portions but what do you eect in a tourist hotspot. Friendly service - overall a great experience.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced with a great selection. I will definitely be eating there again in the future.
Great food and absolutely fantastic service. Only non-5 star rating category reflected the noise which was too high for us - not sure what you can do about that given the lively nature of your customers
Food is great. Just sitting next to the service desk is not nice (workflow/positioning shall be redesigned).
And it’s a noisy place.
Apart from that all perfect!
Loved it! Thank you. Great food and service. Would definitely come again.
The food is always high quality and the service is very friendly.
The food wasn’t great . I’ve been to places where the food tasted much better. I know is a kind of meze place but even dips were very small. Hummus from Supermarket taste batter. Flat bread not in the basket but in a paper bag ( just throw on our table) 8 tiny fatales. Lamb kibbeh (price £3:45 each ) over cooked.
The only tasty thing we had was duck ( charcoal) although small two skewers.
Over priced I think because is next to borough market. I had better food and better prices in one of the Arabic places in Mayfair.
Very dark and noisy place.
Staff was so so . 12,5% tip which was added to our bill was way to high.
I probably sound like a very stingy person which I’m not as I still agree to pay that tip even they do not deserve it. And seriously Mayfair is more expensive but over there you know what you are paying for.
And if you like your red wine in nice wine glass forget to have one over there . They are serving wine in a tumble glass :/
Won’t go there again.
A busy restaurant in the very busy Borough Market. Starters were excellent, main courses (grills ) not so.
Very disappointing, given previous reviews. The food and service were only just OK, it was uncomfortably cool and overall very poor value for money - charging the equivalent of a main course for what is effectively tapas seems a bit cheeky, although if the food was better, it might be more bearable. There are (much) better options in the area.
Food is amazing........and the service is quick, efficient and staff are always helpful......
