The food was great. I tried some different items and was not let down. Great prices! Wine selection was limited but tasted great. Wine prices are slightly high in comparison to the price point for the food. Food price is around mid-teens to 20's while the wine starts at mid-teens for a 5oz. Doesn't quite match up in my opinion. I would definitely recommend and will be back.
Service was great and the food was delicious. One of the best restaurants in the distillery district by far.
would definitely go back and recommend, great place great food great atmosphere!
We had a lovely dinner on a weekday. The appetizers were a lovely start. Definitely recommend the chicken main, it was excellent! My husband tried the pork and quite enjoyed it too.. We both relished our desserts, there were lovely little touches added to the dishes. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. We'd definitely come here again.
The ladies setting at the next table were too loud, the food was ok but a bit salty. The service was great as well as the environment.
Went for summerlicious, disappointed with the food, but t good service.
Despite the local quality story from our server, the food was food court quality. This is such a nice looking place and hopefully someone takes it over bring the food up to the ambiance.
We went on a Sunday night following Luminato and Sunday is a good night because it was quiet. I had the fish special, my husband the veal. The came hot and fresh, tastefully displayed and very good. its located right at the beginning of the Distillery and we have been consistently pleased.
I was a little surprised that an Italian restaurant had no red Italian wines on the menu. The food was tasty but not outstanding. The upside was that our first table was freezing from a draft from the open door to the patio, and the staff was very accommodating about moving us. Also our dad who needs an accessible restaurant was easily able to manoeuvre and there was an accessible washroom.
Meal was lack lustre. Not expecting Luke warm for dinner
We ate outside on the patio, had great service from a very cheery waiter. The food was scrumptious - local & freshly made pasta.
Very limited menu at dinner. What we did have was okay but not great.
Lovely space in the Distillery District. Very quiet for a Friday night. The space is inviting the wait staff friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I was surprised there weren’t more customers when we were there. I’d definitely go back next time we’re in The Big T.
There was an odd smell in the restaurant - not sure if it was from the kitchen or surrounding area, but it was quite palpable. The service was excellent, but I was not impressed by the menu. I ordered fish and the only real fish option was Sea Bream. It was cooked nicely, but really had nothing to it. The meal was just kinda "blah".
Nice moody and romantic ambiance. Servers were young and new to the game but very kind, polite and did their best to serve, despite it being a very busy night.
Everything was great. Server might have been new though...
The food was slow out of the kitchen. From when our starter plates were collected it took over 1 hour to get our main course. Staff weren’t that apologetic. The Spaghetti was incredibly garlicky, to the point that it made myself and my wife ill the next day. Safe to say we will not be coming back.
Our server was fantastic and very accommodating. They could not do enough to ensure we were taken care of.
Will definitely return
The food was excellent, the service was great. A very enjoyable experience.
Server was friendly and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. Enjoyed the winterlicious menu, would definitely return!
Had the winterlicious lunch menu and it was well worth it! the food was delicious, got the beef short rib and the pecan tart.
Should have let guests in who arrived 5-10 mins early for their reservation rather than make them wait outside. Food (braised beef) lacked seasoning, even with added pepper by waitress. Waitress was not very attentive.
I enjoyed the winterlicious menu - the food was delicious! The only downfall was the cold draft from the door and the service seemed very speedy - as if they were in a rush to get us done and out the door. I still had my appetizer in front of me when my main came and we were never asked if we wanted anything else, we were just given the bill. But when we did make requests, it came quickly! The servers were kind.
Lovely place, great food, attentive service and low noise :)
As always the menu and food is exceptional. Tables are spaced nicely to have a nice conversation without screaming. Fresh food using locally grown vegetables. Love this place.
If you can't do Winterlicious because of the price point then dot do it
Loved the ambiance and vibe. Service was stsndard. Food was delicious. We participated in the Winterlicious menu and the Farafelle was a highlight.
The hostess was not friendly. She took longer than usual to bring the meals and never bothered to Check on our table. The appetizer was pasta and was not fully cooked. The desert had a taste of vinegar lingering, don’t know if it due to the plate and spoons not washed properly or they put vinegar in their desert! Would NOT recommend.
We did winterlicious at Archeo for our first time experience there. The space looked nice and was decorated well.
Our table was positioned too close to the entrance, and it was freezing everytime the door opened. This was not an ideal location for a table in the winter.
The food was overall underwhelming compared to other winterlicious experiences I have had. The short rib and sea bream were good. The farfalle was under cooked.
The service was not great. Two of our group order short ribs and they didn't come out at the same time. The server apologized for the poor service but nothing was done.
I would not recommend it due to the experience I had there.
Winterlicious dinner. Short rib was fantastic and really enjoyed the pecan tart with gelato. Great service. Our table was awkwardly placed but the staff tried to rectify the situation.
Good value and healthy and tasty food. We weren't rushed. Our waitress was very personable and knowledgable
We went for my Dads 60th Birthday and it was fantastic! The food was brilliant. The service was outstanding and they remembered his birthday through my reservation and brought him out a piece of cake and a candle! Thank you!
Thought the service and food were outstanding. Hard surfaces could be an issue it was busier in the context of noise levels
Great venue. Great service and the food was delicious. Will be back for sure. Wine list was small and limited to just so so wines - but we found one we enjoyed.
The food tasted fantastic and arrived quickly. The server was attentive and friendly. This is a great spot for Italian food in the distillery district.
Stick with the pasta. Had the duck and it was way undercooked and not edible
When a Server came up to take our order, we asked if there was a cocktail menu. He said he wasn't familiar with the menu as he just helping out and was not usual staff and that he would send someone over to take our drink order. After a while trying get someone's attention we finally got a cocktail menu. But things were already downhill at this point. The cocktails were no up to scratch. We ordered the ravioli, lobster pasta and pasta bolognese. The lobster pasta was good. I would avoid the rest. The price point does not match the quality of food. I would give this place a miss. They should have closed on Christmas eve rather than staying open and giving customers poor service.
Great service. Food is delicious and bursting with flavors. However, don’t go hungry; portion sizes are bite-sized not a whole lot of value for what you pay.
We were greeted by a very rude person at the front door, who scolded my friend for getting the time wrong (we were on time, she accidentally said the wrong time by 15 minutes and he got upset with her). If this place hadn't been the only restaurant without a 45 min wait in the christmas market area (it was empty aside from a few tables, we would have left right there). It is 'dressed up' like a classy joint, but I had to ask the waitress for a glass to put my beer in as she only put down the bottle and walked away. I also had to ask the second time as a fruit fly died in my first drink. Service was poor but the food was ok. Would not recommend regardless due to rude staff. It also wasn't a fun place, wasn't busy at what should have been the busiest time of the year (christmas market on the Saturday before christmas)
Very disappointed with the food. SMALL servings. Raviolio was poor (really no taste) as well Piadini Vitello was also mediocre. Spaghetti and meatballs were good.
Overall a celebratory meal turned into quite a let down, all due to the food.
