We had dinner by the water, it was a bit cold but they had heaters and it made it perfect! The food was amazing, we had a filet mignon risotto and a pizza. Everything was the right temperature and it was delicious!! Would totally go back. The price was just right for the quality of the food.
Always a wonderful meal
Eating outside overlooking the water is lovely, but it was a chilly afternoon and using the heaters would have helped. I ordered an organic salad with grilled chicken and it was thoroughly mediocre. I eat salad all the time, and normally would take it home with me if I had any extra. This time I did not. I am not in a hurry to return.
For Italian food in Westport the food cannot be beat. Extreamly good food and a great amount of choices on the menu.
the wait staff was great, we had out 3 year old and 6 Mouth old and it was no issue, the outdoor seating was very nice, and the food was great. the best place for a Sunday brunch with the family.
Incredibly slow service. Our reservation was at 5:15. A host was there when we walked in not helping others and took 10 minutes to seat us. While we were waiting a woman getting take out warned us that the service was bad but we still gave the restaurant a try. Took 20 minutes to get menus. My margarita was bad and took about 15-20 minutes to get a new drink once I had ordered. When I ordered my meal dairy free the were difficult about it when it was a meal that was pasta, tomato sauce, eggplant, and mozzarella. Our food didn’t arrive at the table until 6:40. My boyfriend asked for his steak cooked well done and it came out rare. Took him 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to get his steak cooked more. When they brought it back it still wasn’t cooked well done. At that point we just called it a night. The table behind us was complaining. The table to our right waited 30 minutes for their food to be wrapped up and to get a check. At least they didn’t charge us for the steak.
Setting is perfect. Outdoor patio well spaced with heaters. Food was delicious. Service was very slow. Not enough waiters.
Very good experience. Food was good, outside dining beside the River was beautiful, service was excellent.
My wife and I got pasta entrees that were delicious. If you want pizza let them know when making reservations-don’t ask me why? Outdoor dining is awesome- service is adequate
Great service great food
Beautiful outdoor setting and super friendly staff. Food was great!
Lovely evening! Great food! Excellent service! Perfect social distancing!
Beautiful setting in Westport by the bridge.
Food is delicious ! Favorites are pasta dishes and meatballs.
The service is exceptional.
We originally were seated in the enclosed porch with the sun on us and it felt wonderful. But then we were moved as they had a party coming in. That was my only complaint. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service was wonderful.
We drove from NYC for a change of scene and asked for outside seating as we wanted to bring along our lab - in fact we pick restaurants only after ascertaining that dogs can sit outdoors. The manager said he would accommodate us at a table on the north side of the patio away from all diners as someone had complained about a dog barking on a previous occasion. Fair enough. Except that the waiter kept coming back to us and insisted that the dog remain "hidden"! Meanwhile no other diners noticed him much less complained.
As for the food, nothing much to write about. Ordered the Halibut which was glazed to the point of being greasy with bulky full stemmed broccoli . Pasta was mediocre and edible. $100 for those two and a glass of Chardonnay was not good value.
Scenery is spectacular.
We arrived right on time and were seated immediately by the hostess (on a weird note, she was not dressed nicely as the rest of the staff is). It was a lovely two top on the water. Our waiter was Jose and he was friendly and professional. I ordered the Filet Mignon and Johnny the Papperdelle and oh my goodness was it delicious. The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked to my preferred medium temperature. Johnny's pasta was delicious with homemade noodles and just fantastic. We weren't able to finish either dish as very liberal portions so had an amazing lunch yesterday (Thursday 10/15). I posted a review also on yelp where you can see the pictures taken as I met all the requirements but it won't allow them or upload them here.
Just a beautiful restaurant, good service and excellent food. Go with confidence and ask for Jose.
Just overall outstanding
ate outdoor on the patio. Beautiful view and heaters kept us very comfortable. I had the halibut that was delicious. Friendly staff and my cocktail was very good. You will not be disappointed. New favorite spot when I visit the area.
Lovely. Ate outside, by the river. Food was true Italian bliss.
Great service and food! Told them through Open Table that it was my parents anniversary and they brought over champagne and even made sure we all were on the same course by giving us 2 extra soups when 2 members of the party ordered soup and 2 didn't. Absolutely lovely traditional Italian food and beautiful décor and spaces inside and out on the river.
Fabulous food and excellent service. The patio on the water is lovely and they’ve already provided exterior heat. Best homemade pasta around.
Love the ambience
We have been here before and enjoy it very much but for some reason, the service was very slow the night we were there. Also the were out of a few things out the menu.
I have always enjoyed this place, mostly for the view/ambiance. But I have to say, the food has gotten extremely good. Chef is accommodating to split the dishes, if asked, and no extra charge. I think the Linguini with Clams is literally the best I ever had. If I can make a "COVID" tip, don't deliver parmesan shaker to the table that others have touched.
I think the wine list could use an update.
Enjoyable, delicious. Great experience overall. Wait staff was prompt and courteous. Maintained proper social distancing etiquette among diners.
Although they accepted an outside reservation they told us on arrival they couldn’t guarantee outside seating, for which we waited 40 minutes past our reserved time. Service at the table was very slow although the food and ambience were terrific. I’ve been there many times but will never go back on a weekend.
The only thing we do not like is having to order our main entre along with the appetizers. Otherwise the food is excellent and we really enjoy the outdoor patio!
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Arezzo! Staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous. Everyone was in masks and gloves as well. Outside seating was enjoyable as they turned on the heaters for us.
Food was very good, but service was slow, especially waiting for the check.
It was also very cold outside.
This was my third visit to this restaurant after a long hiatus. When we entered and smelled the delicious aroma my husband and I wondered why it took us so long to return. During the course of service we were reminded of why we stopped coming here.... I wanted to return for the excellent food and beautiful location but unfortunately the service remains arrogant. My 85 y/o father wanted a seafood pasta dish with a different kind of pasta - he did not want the squid ink pasta - he wanted regular linguine. The waiter told him that he can only replace it with spaghetti. I know my father- he only wants linguini, and at his age, give him what he wants. The waiter told him he would have to charge extra for linguini vs. spaghetti (No I am not making this up). They finally served him the dish with linguini fini, but close enough I guess. I wanted to order the salmon which is served with broccoli rabe. The waiter said they were out of broccoli rabe. My husband then pointed out that he ordered the orrechiete with sausage and broccoli rabe and then the waiter confirmed they had broccoli rabe for my husband’s pasta dish but not for mine. So I decided to order something else. After my excellent lemon prosecco cocktail which I had with my appetizer I wanted s glass of white wine to have with my entree. I spent the next 10 minutes waiving my hand at every waiter including the matre de, all of who ignored my calls. I finally was able to get my wine 5 minutes after receiving the entre. We ordered a special appetizer salad: watermelon with ricotta, mint pistachio. Very good but they charged us $18.00 for that. When we received the bill we were not up charged for the linguini. If you want excellent Italian food in a beautiful setting and do not mind being ignored and your culinary intelligence insulted then go here. By the way, I was born and raised in An Italian community in NYC, and worked in the restaurant industry. This is not how to treat your guests.
Outdoor venue with excellent food. The Pappadelle with Osso Bocci Ragout was very good. All items were made well with excellent service and good value. All in all, an excellent experience.
I’ve gone to this restaurant many times and the service has been impeccable. This time we brought our out of town guest and the service was terrible. There were no bus people to clear our table, the waiters were overworked and apparently understaffed because they were working hard. We did not get water refills or someone checking to see if food was fine or if we wanted mote drinks or wine . My husband said it would be a long time until we return . We also booked a table for outside and were told to come earlier and still they sat us inside 🙁. Too much competition to keep going back to a restaurant that disappoints !
Wait staff spilled whole glass of water onto my gf. Waiter who were taking care of our table didn’t know about that until I mention about it while asking for a check. Other than saying sorry. There was no sincere apology nor any offer of discount for dry cleaning. My gf has to walk to the car in wet pants.
Food was great, menu is great. We got put at a table in an alleyway close to the road, not the best seat in the house. I would return.
Noisy sitting near the Post Road side ..
place was packed on Friday night, hence service was slow
Appetizer Fried Calamari exactly 4 pieces of zucchini in the entire dish!
Server was very pleasant and apologetic about the length of time between courses. We have been here many times and always enjoy Arezzo: this was an "off" night in our experience.
We were hoping for a waterside outdoor dining experience but the weather was not on our side. The restaurant was not packed and comfortable spaces between tables so we were relaxed. The food was so delicious I am still thinking about my meal. I had the penne with eggplant and mozzarella, it was just heavenly! We all loved our dinners and the waiter gave us a nice wine selection too that was delicious! We will definitely go back another time we are in CT and hopefully get to enjoy the outside dining! Thank you for the lovely dinner!
Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Outstanding service and delicious food.
Outstanding food, great service & a terrific location.
Very bad service. Food, as usual, good. Multiple waitstaff taking ordersZ no follow-up. Only bussperson followed up or we might still be there from Saturday night.
The food at Arezzo is always amazing. HOWEVER, the outdoor service since covid is horrible. Went with a group of 5. Every table was full, but there did seem like enough staff to handle it and none of the tables at the time seemed too needy. We waited about 45 minutes just to get attention to place an order. The food timing was super reasonable, but the staff just are not attentive. I’m not new to the more laid back, European style of dining, but it was just too long between check ins. The icing on the cake is when we split the bill totally evenly and did not ask for any special breakdown. Just handed over the tab and said even is fine. Our waiter literally a foot from our table walks by another waiter, opens the bill and makes a joke that we split it, and they both laughed as of that was the most low class thing to do on a $400 bill.
I’ll still go back but only for the food. The service is an absolute joke for a popular restaurant in Westport.
