Bulk Tamales Oaxaqueños
1/2 Dozen 6 oz. tamales in banana leaves. Tamale Filling: Pork in Red Chile, Chicken in green chile, Beef in Red Chile, Black Bean & Cheese, Chicken in Black Mole
Fajitas al Carbón
Sizzling charbroiled beef skirt, chicken breast or combo
Queso Flameado (North)
Melted Chihuahua cheese topped with house-made Mexican chorizo or sautéed mushrooms and poblano peppers
We shared two different entrees and they were delightful: three different 3 oz. filets in different sauces and the red snapper Merida style. Also, the service was efficient and nice.
Service, food, and drinks were great. Mariachi band was a little too loud.
This is the first time I went to Picos since the pandemic started and oh boy how things have changed!
Food was OK. We ordered the paella which was tasty albeit quite salty. I would have preferred the paella to have more seafood and less chorizo. The plus side is that the 3-person paella fed 4 adults handsomely. Service in general was apathic; for example, it took a long time to get the complimentary basket of tortillas.
I remember Picos was a good place for food with very alert and caring service. Don't know when I'll be back next.
Very good brunch menu! Recommend Drunken Eggs! Palomas and Mimosas were very good!
Food wise, they aren't even trying. And expensive for what it is.
If you are short on servers don’t accept as many reservations. It was the worst Christmas Eve dinner ever
Got charged for something we didn’t order. Took more than an hour to get our food. My shrimp were so over cooked. Five little shrimp for $20. Please. We will not be returning
The restaurant was more interested in completing takeout orders than service for dine in customers. We did not get our food, a very simple order. We eat there regularly but we will not be back anytime soon.
The beef I the tacos and the fajitas was pretty bad, tasted old and almost rancid. The other entrees were excellent. I have been a regular customer for many years and have been extremely happy . This was unusual.
The food was not up to Pico’s usual excellence. The margaritas made up for it.
Mediocre food. Queso was cold and congealed into a glob. Had to keep asking for tortillas. Fajitas were tasteless. You can get better guacamole at chipotle.
An hour from seating to food.
The food was delicious, definitely suggest the lamb. The service was great, truly enjoyed our night
Absolutely love the staff. Thank you Ruben for making my family and I feel so at home. Highly recommendb!!!
Also!! Can't forget the bar, thank you Daniel and victor for phoebomal pre drinks service.
First time dining at Picos. My enchiladas were very tasty and good. My waiter Jasmine was very friendly and very attentive.
Terrific and authentic Mexican food. The grilled shrimp and chicken mole were outstanding. Good drinks and super service. It has a fun vibe and was nicely decorated for the Christmas season.
Excellent food and service.
Enjoyed dinner before going to a play downtown. Food and drinks were outstanding. Really enjoyed the pork shank. Looking forward to a repeat performance.
As always the margaritas were fantastic, the food was great, and Hector was as "on point" as ever. Love this place.
Our server was Javier and the restaurant was busy. I discussed with him which of the duck recipes I should try and he suggested the PATO EN MOLE MIAHUATECO which sounded very good to me. It was a long time before the food was actually delivered and never have seen that duck dish I assumed that the duck dish which was delivered to me was the Pato en Mole, but when the bill came I realized that he had brought me a dish called Duck Two Ways. There is no great difference in price and the Duck Two Ways was very well-prepared, so I was just fine paying the bill. But I wanted Javier to know that he had erred. I called him over when we finally saw him again and told him that he had switched my order. His response was "The Duck Two Ways is better." I said that this was not the way it works. I am the customer and I make the order and his role is to take down what I order, not decide what I should order. His response was "My bad." Upon which he turned and left us. No apology whatever. Pico's is a fine restaurant and we will probably return on our next visit to Houston, but this experience was strange and the management should know.
Great Food. Great Service.
It was a really good place. The food was great, and the look and feel was comfortable. Our table was alittle to close to another, and the couple there was very loud. But other then that. Everything was great.
We sat in the patio and had a lovely meal. The osso bucco was delicious. Others in our party had Happy Hour appetizers. We had a great time!
Very nice place with amazing food and drinks. Will return when I’m inHouston again.
I must say that the Huasteca lacked seasoning so it wasn't full of flavor as it had been in the past. The Shrimp Brochettes were quite tasty. The beef/chicken Tacos Al Carbon were good but we've had better. I'm not sure if the cook staff has changed but Pico's has lost some of it's deliciousness.
Best crispy Taco in Texas
Menudo was ordered but never arrived.
Server was oblivious to that fact.
Bloody Mary was very good. The one olive garnish was lackluster.
Shrimp Tampico as always was delicious.
Made a reservation for 8, and was stuck in the back without a view even though the place was empty. We had one of the worst, most inattentive waiters. Food was cold. Waiter had to go back to the kitchen every time we asked a question and then would disappear. Will not be back anytime soon.
The cuisine is always exceptional with a lot of creative menu choices. It is just not your typical Mexican restaurant. The ambiance is very, very nice. The wait staff is friendly, attentive and prompt. The musicians are a nice touch. It is always a very pleasant dining experience.
It was a great lunch with a great friend. Food was wonderful and Hector always treats us like family and makes us feel so welcome!!
Enzo was the server and he was outstanding. He knew the menu, was gracious and intuitive, friendly, accommodating and all the good things a server could be for my tastes. He alone is a good reason to return to the restaurant. I commend him for his superb customer service.
Went based on reviews but very disappointed. Server wasn’t very engaged or attentive. Drink glass had a crack in it. Food was room temp. I told the hostess it was my bfs bday but they didn’t do anything special. Won’t be going back.
The seafood and interior Mexican dishes are all really good.
Best authentic Mexican Food restaurant in Houston. We love this place. Complimentary valet service, rustic, classic decor, fantastic wait staff will bring you anything or whatever you want, food is top notch, menu has great variety, I try something different every time I go, there are mariachis playing during peak hours, value is 5 star, you can’t get this quality for the $$$ anywhere, etc. I look forward to
Our next visit.
Milanese was not considered good enough. Other 2 entries were great.
Great food! And Hector was awesome!!
Excellent food and service. We had a great time.
José E was our server/waiter and he was great.
Food was excellent.
Always the best quality food and excellent service.
