Very simple food for the price of “gourmet”. Pictures made the place seem very big but once we got there it was about the size of a mini Waffle House.
the food was good . the kitchen quite slow when there was few tables in the restaurant . our waiter carlos was not good . never came to see if everything was good or not. no bread was served or offered at a price. doubt if i will mention the hamburgers did look quite good. we had salmon and steak. the flourless cake was a brownie....
Food was very good. Music was a little load for romantic vibe. Server was very pleasant but could have been more attentive. Would return.
Mathew was our server , who was outstanding. The filet mignon melts on your mouth.
I booked not realizing the restaurant is located inside a hotel and ended up impressed by the end of the meal. We're ordered way too much but it allowed us to try a lot of the menu.
We started off with the chips and salsa, guacamole and a cheese platter. The restaurant advertises farm to table and the cheeses were from local farms and very tasty. Most importantly, the blue cheese wasn't stinky and had a pleasant taste. The salsa with the chips had a great kick. It is spicier than the average restaurant but not overly spicy. The guac was fresh and tasty.
We had the surf and turf, flank steak and a side of brussel sprouts. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
We were comped dessert due to slow service and were treated to their baked Alaska. It was tasty and had a great cookie core.
We had a variety of cocktails as well and everyone was satisfied. The drinks were creative yet not too over the top.
Service was the main downfall and not the fault of our waiter. We arrived at 7:30 pm on a Friday night to an almost empty restaurant. Drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive and entrees took what seemed like an hour. Our waiter checked up on us many times during the wait and did apologize each time. The restaurant got busier as the night went on from the attendees at the hotel ballrooms so I can't imagine how backlogged the food was for them.
I felt prices were a bit on the steep side but portions were also generous.
Overall, everyone at my table would go back but expectations need to be set for speed of service.
Amazed at the quality and flavor of my butternut squash soup and flat iron steak! Also enjoyed the flourless chocolate torte with peppermint tea. It was all perfect and service by Rosanna was perfect also. Pleasantly surprised and I will be back!
Food was great along with atmosphere. Will definitely be returning
Stunningly calm ambiance. Soft overhead lighting. We are foodies and were shocked at the quality of food, especially compared to the affordable prices. We have had way worse quality and service for way more cost. Excellent!
Our waiter Carlos was very attentive, even though the place was full for OU/TX weekend. Made wonderful suggestions. Can’t wait to return to try more. Only disappointment was the wine list. But martinis were great.
Rosie was my waitress and she was amazing. Answered every question made suggestions explained what I was ordering and was the sweetest most patient quick waitress ever. I’ll be back. Oh and my flat ironed steak was perfect and the peach cobbler was amazing
We went for restaurant week - we really feel this place is a hidden gem with amazing food. If they weren’t located in this hotel, we all felt they’d be so popular. Very good food and unique flavors. Also very gluten free accommodating.
Although we dined from the limited Restaurant Week menu, we did find some very delicious items. The larger and regular menu looked like it would not disappoint either.
Starters were charred romaine salad and sweet corn and crab soup. Both were excellent and tasted very fresh.
Entrees - Flat iron steak and fried chicken sandwich. Steak was cooked perfectly and was tasty. Fried chicken sandwich was a LARGE bite and very good.
The true hidden gem was the lemon torta dessert. Worth the drive! Excellent!!!
During restaurant week a group of us likes to go to a restaurant that we never been to. The menu caught our eye and decided to go. For a hotel restaurant, it was really good. During Covid, the restaurant wasn’t overly packed and the servers were really nice and attentive. Our server Chris was awesome. He answered all of our questions about the menu and was helpful with recommendations. The restaurant menu had cocktail pairings and the Desert Paradise was recommended. Maybe because, Chris is also the bartender, and told us that this was his creation. Out of all of the pairings, the Desert Paradise is really good.
As for the rest of the menu, our table shared the pineapple guacamole and the brisket queso. Loved the guacamole combo with the pineapple. The queso was a little runny, but the flavor was good. For the apps, I got the scallop ceviche. It was ok for me. The scallop came out a bit fishy, but I really like the sauce it was in. For the entree I had the steak and we shared a side order of Brussel sprouts and truffle fries. The steak was really good, but me friend got the pork belly and I thought that was the better choice. Both were cooked really well and very tender.
Since we were a group, each of us had a different dessert. I had the lemon torts. I love lemon, but it was overly sweet. Also it looked like a reconstructive version of a lemon tart. I didn’t get to try the peach cobbler or the brownie, but I think it would have been a better choice.
Overall, all of us has enjoyed our experience and will definitely think about this place in our future dining outings.
Service was excellent. Food was amazing. Very impressed, will definitely go back.
Took my parents here when they came to visit. I had the Pork Belly which was really great. Only thing was the service was a little bit slow, but there seemed to be a lot of events going on that night. Other than that. Everything was good, would visit again.
We were celebrating our 30 year anniversary, which we spent our honeymoon at the hotel 30 years ago, and Carlos made our dinner very special..
Great place. Food was so-so but I only tried a limited portion of the menu.
Honey glazed wings - seems like out of the bag type and not fresh
Tortilla soup - more like some sort of bean soup
Fries - very small portion for the price
Otherwise beautiful decor and overall vibe.
Wanted have a nice meal after working a week in Dallas and having only mediocre delivery. I opted for Asador for breakfastand decided on the Crabcake Benedict over the sliders as I suspected the elements of the sliders might overpower the crab. It was excellent! The hollandaise sauce perfectly matched the crabcakes and the portion was generous. Server was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the dish and would return to the restaurant.
The food was great, but a little over priced. The restaurant is lovely with contemporary decor. Drinks are great. Wound certainly go back!
Everything we ordered were delicious. Great staff.
The online photos do not match the interior decor. The chef that is promoted online no longer works there - different and limited menu.
Our waiter was very accommodating and receptive.
Fresh and amazing food. The small bites/shared plates were actually larger and we had food left over.
Love this place, the food, the service but the noise level of the music was quite loud my last visit and made it very hard to converse with those at our table and even for the waiter to hear us place our orders.
It was ok, nothing to write home about. We tried a variety of foods and nothing really stood out. Our waiter was good though...
we are guessing maybe someone did not show because it was not very crowded but service was SLOW.
we were celebrating my birthday and this was on the reservation but not acknowledged
Almost impossible to get server to get refills for cocktails. Salmon was overdone, reminded me of the texture of canned tuna. Bar staff is wonderful!!
The food was ok not memorable and the ribeye - which was the servers recommendation was tough service was very slow the. To add to it $20 to park
Will not return
Very nice evening. Food was excellent as was our server. Bar service was a bit slow but the cocktails were very well done. Overall, very nice valentine’s date.
it was a very good restaurant at the Renaissance Hotel. We were running late getting on on our drive there but they were able to nicely accommodate us with a later reservation and this was on Valentines Day!
The food was enjoyable and not overly priced. I received a rose and a chocolate cookie at the end of the meal for VDay--and that was extra special!!
The only downside was the violinist was NOT good and it brought the evening down just a little. The manager needs to rethink the type of music and how loud and/or annoying a violin can be. to some ears.
Truly phenomenal experience! Upon checking in, we were greeted with respect and professionalism. Although it was Valentines day and it was busy, we didn’t wait that long. Our server was awesome and very hospitable! We had the Valentines day 4-course special- it was delicious. Although we waited for our main course, they served us more champagne while waiting. There was live music- violinist playing romantic music. Our server was so nice, he took pictures of us and gave my wife a rose as well for the occasion. We were also given a free parking voucher as we left the restaurant. We love ASADOR! We’ll be back next time definitely! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Great service , great atmosphere . Portion sizes very small
Wonderful. Wait staff was fantastic!
Had reservations for two on Valentine’s Day! The food was amazing but the music was a little loud for our liking since it was difficult to hear each other! Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go again!
We reserved our table so there was no wait... defiantly recommend if there during a market. Food is always great but with a full house... service gets a little strained--But that was expected and accepted.
It's our every market food stop for the last 10 years.
Jeremy took very good care of us during a busy dinner period. It was an overall great experience!
Staf was friendly and the food was amazing
The wait staff was exceptional. The food was very good and prepared to order. The meal arrived piping hot. They even spent the time to figure out the name of a drink (that was not on the drink menu) and made it for my wife. We really enjoyed our time in the restaurant. I would have given 5 stars all around but they bought into the fad of playing loud music during dinner to make it seem more festive. It wasn't even that loud, it was just louder than I like (but I'm old).
Menu is a little limited for a low cal eater but very good.
Went to lunch at 3:00. Only one other table seated. Quiet and service was good - attentive and friendly. BUT... it took almost 30 minutes to receive our order - a burger and fish tacos. Yikes!!
