Can't recommend Asha's highly enough! My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here on Saturday night and it couldn't have been more perfect. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the menu is one of a kind - with dishes such as venison samosa, lobster panchphoran and Lancashire cheese kulcha. Most importantly, the food was truly delicious - as were the cocktails and wine. All of the staff were absolutely lovely and the service was first-rate. We loved it! xx
Exceptional, lovely food with excellent informative staff in beautiful surroundings
Big name but not that special. Requested a nice table for a birthday lunch. When arrived table was normal nothing special. the vegetables in the korma where frozen not fresh. The Papadams tasted oily and the thick fries where also oily. Expected a higher class of food for this kind of restaurant and name. Very disappointed. Not impressed at all. Sorry.
We had a great evening .We went at 6pm and had the early evening menu. The food was excellent and the price very good.
Very comfortable, not too crowded, exceptional waiter service, accomodates special occasions, nicely decorated, very nice luxurious bar with low lighting. Very clean and tidy. tables not too close together, fairly priced
Went here to celebrate our engagement with my family. Service was superb, food was stunning and it's in a great location. Highly recommend.
The ambiance is great. However a critical note on the food.
The rice dishes were uninspiring: the salmon biryani lacked refinement with large chunks of fish that hadn't been marinated so the fish tasted different form the rest of the biryani. The lamb byriani was a bit dry. and could have had Maybe the chef of that day was not specialised in biryani. Will try other dishes than these next time.
Friendly staff, great food, cooked & served well. Not a great choice for the lunch time specials which was good value but plenty on the regular more expensive menu.
Excellent Service and rich food. Would have preferred to have Asha's songs as music.
Great food and amazing place and in a great area service could of been better due being little slow but over all very good and will be going again
We like the food there - the vegetarian options could be more.
Food was lovely, but a little pricey, especially drinks.
Delicious curry. We had the chefs specials . The staff were charming and helpful. It is expensive for curry but for a special occasion would be worth it
One of the best Indian meals we've ever had! Lovely classy surroundings, wonderful attentive service, amazing food. Interesting, in a good way, selection of cocktails. It is on the more expensive side, but not exhorbantant, but you do get what you pay for - for those special occasions! Will definitely return.
We had a lovely evening at Asha's. Beautiful setting, friendly staff, especially Pablo our waiter (Muchas gracias!). As for the food - outstanding, freshly prepared food with great flavours put together; presentation was excellent well thought out, just perfect. Looking for to having another night out here in the not to distant future.
Gorgeous food, great service and fabulous cocktails.
Fantastic night with great food and outstanding service from our waiter Micheal!
Amazing meal- every course was perfect
The sauces were smooth and spices just perfect
I can't remember enjoying a meal like this, for a long time
Absolutely amazing food & the staff were lovely! Would go back in a heartbeat
We have wanted to go to Asha's for quite a while now and we weren't disappointed at all. It was a fantastic experience and we were able to enjoy amazing Indian food. The staff was great! So helpful and explained the entire menu to us. Overall a great dining experience.
We will definitely come back!
Great food, good ambience, a bit expensive though.
Both the restaurant and the bar had a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and had a number of options that were different from your "everyday" Indian Restaurant. Cannot fault the service. First time visit but definitely going again.
For the price it should have been excellent and was not.
Food looked interesting but its taste was not good.
Others in my party enjoyed the meal and for somewhere different to go was OK , but have better tasting food at my local Indian or at home.
Ladies where expected to go down 2 or 3 flights of stairs to the bathroom, not good especially if dressed up for a fancy restaurant in heels.
The service was lack lustre and food and drink prices very expensive by comparison.
I wouldn't go again, even if given a discount.
As always a faultless dining experience and pleasurable
visit to Asha's in Manchester, authentic Indian cuisine of the highest order outside of India
We were really impressed. Great food and excellent service.
Considering this restaurant is been advices in the Michelin guide we had high expectation but alas were disappointed. Atmosphere fine, not great music though, come on you can do better then early 2000 loungy compilations, maybe some cool indian Sitar jazz ! To eat we had lamb chops to start that were dry and had two creative curries, the chicken korma one was good, nothing unusual but nice melting chicken, the lamb was alas over cooked, spicy but flavourless. I also wish they had more small tasting dishes. The chef must not be the same anymore since they got the Michelin guide recommendation or maybe he has lost his spark. What a shame.
Lovely restaurant had a nice feel inside, warm and cosy without being too small. The food was sensational the best jalfrezi I have ever tasted!
the main course did not have any taste . not consistant. the pickle tray was not nice
Highly recommend!! Food & cocktails were all good. We will definitely return here in the near future.
We have dined here several times and always really enjoyed it. The food and service is fantastic, their is nice ambiance, and the prices are reasonable.
Fabulous food and great service. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent friendly service and delicious food, beautifully decorated.
Great restaurant with exceptional staff and welcoming and friendly customer service. The food was amazing!!! And the ambiance and setting of the restaurant felt sophisticated and classy. It was my 1st trip to Manchester and I booked this for my mums birthday. The complimentary cheesecake on a birthday plate with a candle was a lovely touch at the end for her. Next time I'm back in Manchester I will definitely book again I'd highly recommend it.
Lovely Indian restaurant. Great menu and the food was fantastic.
Extremely salty meal left me up all night drinking water.
I was dining alone and asked them to accomodate a party of 1 wrt portion sizes so that I could try more dishes. They refused.
Spoiled the experience and I would never go back
Extremely overpriced. There's quite a few Indian restaurants to choose from now in the city center. Asha's provides a very classy dining atmosphere and offers very good attentive table service. However the food didn't really blow me away, but the bill certainly did.
the food is amazing at Asha's - the starter menu is fab
great. i travel all over the UK for work Asha's is the best Indian restaurant in the NE of England.
Very nice restaurant and a cut above the usual indian. Moody and special ambience, felt like entering a high end spa.
Food very good second only to Tiffin Riim Cheadle for Indian cuisine
