Hyderabadi chicken curry made with yoghurt and coconut milk
New York Style Cheesecake
Everyones favourite, cheesecake featuring an almond & pistachio base and served with fresh seasonal fruits
Barrah Kebab (Lamb Chops)
Spicy lamb chops marinated in yoghurt, ginger, garlic, cumin and garam masala
The dining room is lovely and spacious with the right level of background. The service staff were accomodating, lovely and friendly. There were a couple of small issues like the cocktails taking a while so they arrived as the starters arrived when a gap would have been appreciated. We also didn't get asked for dessert so eventually had to ask to see the menu half an hour after finishing mains.
The food was fantastic overall but let down by poor quality lamb chops. They had a lot of fat on them and other parts were overdone. Given how tender and delicious the chicken and lamb curries were, it was a shame that the lamb chops weren't and falling off the bone. All other dishes were delicious though. The naan bread was perfect and the cheesecake was one of the nicest I've ever had. Whilst not perfect it was still a really enjoyable night overall and I'd definitely come again
From entering the restaurant we felt rushed and hurried. The member of staff who we spoke to as we entered stated that we would only have our table for 1 hour even though on the booking email it stated 1:30 mins. The food took half an hour to arrive. We attempted to order a second round of drinks. 10 mins later it still wasn’t here. We asked two separate members of staff about when they would come after this and they still took another 20 mins. The drinks arrived after we asked for the bill as we had become frustrated at the appalling service. We have been here on more than a few occasions, over the time the service has declined alarmingly.
Food was very very tasty. Excellent.
However the service was not. Slow to come with drinks around 20 minutes. and only came after a reminder. I had to ask for the table to be cleared.
I asked for the bill twice. Come on ashas just sharpen up a tad and it would have been top class. I'm sure you can do better. I would go again for the food though.
Having eaten at Ashas on previous occasions we decided to return in the hope the restaurant had maintained a reasonable level.
Unfortunately the food was v poor - poor presentation - lacked all taste and minimal ingredients to the point I felt I had 'Covid' and had lost all taste and smell when infact that was not the case - the Chef unfortunately had lost all knowledge of cooking.
The ambience and restaurant looks and feels tired. The staff are pleasant and tried to create a nice dining experience but they were v young : school leavers perhaps and thus unable to interact or provide the service one would expect in such a restaurant.
Michelin level Prices for the food are unfortunately not acceptable and the Management team need to have a serious think abt the disappointing evening and regret we left with. Poor Asha's !
Great Lunch with very coming staff who couldn;t do enough to provide a great service
Fab contemporary Indian cuisine in a sophisticated setting. A winner.
* Some of the items in their menu were not available.
* Some of the staff were not professional.
Visited ashas with a £200 virgin experience voucher for the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing.
We chose this experience after seeing it was on the Michelin recommended list.
Service was poor, the courses were well presented but no one told us what the food was we were eating, the same with the wine pairing. I asked in the second course what the dish was and the member of staff wasn’t able to answer.
The food was tasty but would have been nice to know what each dish was.
Definitely not worth £200
Food is excellent.
However we were sat on the table near the front and the hostess were complaining about people being late etc, just spoilt the atmosphere for us.
They weren’t using the area by the door to great people and expecting people to walk upstairs, which meant the staff were leaning over, shouting trying the get the peoples attention to come upstairs
We enjoyed our visit to this amazing restaurant, the look and quality of the food was excellent, surroundings and atmosphere are very comfortable. My lamb was cooked to perfection, the dips are very different the apple one was my favourite but a first for us was the truffle naan absolutely fantastic, totally delicious and recommended.
Warm friendly welcome and with having prebooked our table we were seated promptly. Drinks and poppadoms ordered time to browse the menu. Off a varied menu we chose
Palek Gosht, Chicken Jalfrezi with pilau rice and a lancashire cheese filled naan all served timely hot and delicious. Lovely bright modern restaurant serving excellent food and excellent customer service from Caroline and Shreyas. More expensive than other curries houses but lovely for special occasions. Very tasty chicken Jalfrezi can well recommend. Thank you all at Asha for a lovely evening.
Great meal, great service as ever. First time for two of our party but certainly not the last as everything was perfect
Excellent food in a beautiful ambience. Quiet intimate atmosphere and very nice service, attentive without being intrusive
First rate dining experience. All food was perfectly cooked and was delicious. Great service including some very helpful advice on dish selection. Highly recommended
Excellent food, service, atmosphere and value for money.
Food and service was outstanding!
Really enjoyable evening, would definitely return.
Poor service and very average food.
An excellent restaurant. Great ambience. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great restaurant & good location that's central to Manchester.
Excellent food & great service, with staff knowledgable about the menu options.
Great atmosphere too.
Great service and quality of food. Nice ambience and music. Going again next week!
Stylish place, rubbish food! Not much more to say really, very disappointing.
Food absolutely beautiful will definitely eat there again
Staff very polite and friendly
Excellent and considerate service. The food was delicious and a variety of flavourful appetisers and mains. Highly recommended.
We didnt realise there was a charge for the water. The meal and the experience was worthwhile.
Had the six course tasting menu really well balanced with good accompanying wines
Booked because of an excellent experience at Birmingham ashas 2 years ago where the food was exceptional. Have to say overall disappointed. Ingredients drowned in a thick heavy tomato sauce which masked the flavours. Jalfrezi chicken was stringy and poor. The quality did did not reflect the high price which we knew before arrival given the Birmingham visit.
That said the service and ambience was very good.
Great service food standard was great but some main course not to my usual standard but overall been great!!
Main thing was lovely people to greet you and loo after you very nice experience.
Food good- some dishes lacking cooking finesse.
Nice n quick lunch on a weekday.
Very nice.. my wife and I booked online and reserved a table three weeks in advance but still didn't get a very nice table.. food was excellent.. service was good.. we may come again for the lobster
The potions was plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately the chicken in the dish was very brown. This resulted in me just eating rice. I would have enjoyed the dish if it was white chicken breast.
Fabulous experience, we had the 6 course taster menu with wine. Excellent and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!
Food not as good as it as ...goan Ghost gave me an upset stomach. Service poor...they can't get staff
Went to Ashas for a birthday treat, food was delicious, although very rich, service was great and smart surroundings. Would definitely recommend for a special event.
The food was nice but very expensive for what it was. I mean a curry without rice more or less £18 - then if you want rice and nan - another tenner - what a joke !! Therefore I chose the prawn biryani and although nice fresh and filling it had no more than 4 prawns in! It may be ok for footballers or footballers wives lol but for joe bloggs? Too expensive .
Also £25.00 was the cheapest bottle of wine
Great atmosphere lovely decor AMAZING food this was are 2 bday visit and we took 4 friends they loved it to the food is amazing
For much of our visit we were the only customers as we chose to dine early. The service and the meal were superb. The Naan bread was the most delicious that we have ever eaten, and we have eaten many Indian meals! We had the taster meal so had a wide experience of the flavours on offer. The four starter courses each had their own special spices - the sea bass was especially good. Each course was accompanied by 75ml of wine, which enhanced the eating experience and as we were taxiing there and back, we were not concerned at being over the limit! We will certainly eat at Asha’s again.
Another great meal, just cannot express enough how good Ashers is.
The best curry in Manchester by far. The staff just cannot do enough for you and their attention to detail is amazing
Service and starter were fine, our main courses were very similar! Chicken Dopiaza and Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken tasted pre cooked in Dopiaza and would guess no tandoor oven in kitchen.
Would have been nice to have had more indian staff, we saw one.
There was no attention to things we asked for. Certain Items didn’t arrive. From the time we arrived until the bill was paid the waiter didn’t ask if we wanted/needed anything else .
