Fantastic restaurant - great food and service...would definitely recommend!
Great food with great service.
Fantastic food, staff lovely, cocktails great had a lovely time here will defo be back as a treat as pricey but worth it
The food as I have always come to expect is delicious and portion size large. Excellent service and love the lunch menu as it is fantastic value for money. Noise level where we sat was a bit loud but that’s not restaurants fault.
Always a highly consistent operation, we were surprised how busy it was for a Tuesday night !
Having not been able to get a table without booking, I thought it would be great food. They didn’t disappoint. The lamb dish was really tender, which at most restaurants lamb is normally hard to chew. The spicy chicken tikka dish was great. The service is good, the food came out in good. The only thing I didn’t think was great is the price of the food. The place gets packed so they must be making enough money to drop the prices.
We selected the lunch menu which, initially thought to be a bit limited. However, we found the dishes to be excellent and the overall value to be very good. The service was excellent too, even to the point where we were allowed to taste the wines before we chose our included glass! Would recommend!
The food was beautiful and plenty of it. Good value for money and would highly recommend to people.
Superb food, we particularly enjoyed the Muscat Gosht. The service was very attentive and friendly. Can be very busy so worth booking in advance.
Another amazing visit, staff are always so attentive and this visit was no exception. Food was faultless as usual, our absolute favourite restaurant in Birmingham, Thankyou
The food we ordered was fantastic. The meat was tender and fresh in The kebab platter. And as the biryani festival was on, we ordered Chitrana fish biryani. Oh my days!! It was superb. Fresh fish, in a Lemon infused rice! Perfect. Definitely go again!
Went for our anniversary, was expecting exceptional food, but average, atmosphere was nice, busy and very noisy when trying to talk, shame we were on a table for 2 and couldn’t sit next to one another. You have to try different restaurants though.
A good place for celebrating some events.
Never fails to deliver. Faultless as always .
The best Indian restaurant in Birmingham, loved it.
Always a treat. We go there for a night out or before the theatre. The food and service is excellent and a great atmosphere.
Service and food was great - would recommend !
The food was excellent. But I booked for my partners birthday and while booking requested for a surprise cake with candle at the end of the dinner.Reminded them before arriving as well still they forgot and brought the bill. After i had to go infront of my partner to ask for the cake again and then they brought it. My partner saw me asking so wasnt a surprise anymore
This is high end curry! Great taste, spices balanced to perfection. Can’t wait for the Solihull restaurant to open.
Excellent service even though I was running very late.
Lekkere maaltijd en vriendelijke mensen. Prijs was fair.
Excellent as always. My first visit was with Any and Tracey Blackwell, regular customers. I have been several times since with family and friends. I celebrated my Bachelor’s degree in 2016. This visit was to celebrate my Masters degree. I was looking forward to choosing king prawn masala, a dish they cook excellently but it was not on the menu. What I had was excellent however
The best Indian restaurant in the West Midlands without doubt. The butter chicken dish is like nothing you will ever have eaten. A real taste of authentic Indian cuisine.
This was a special treat for my partner’s 50th Birthday. We had heard of it’s reputation from someone who had eaten there. We were lucky enough to park on Newhall Street as it was a Sunday night and quiet . The Restaurant, food & Service did not disappoint and the low lighting made it feel very cosy despite being such a large place. My partner was pleased with the quality of the Kingfisher Lager too. Although the prices are higher the whole experience was worth it and food was excellent.
Not just my favourite Indian restaurant but my favourite restaurant full stop !!!!!
Ashas ticks every box !!!
Brill as ever
Have only rated the food as 4* because I don’t find it particularly to my taste, But the food we had was excellent. Service etc excellent,
Excellent service, curried lobster the best dish to have.
We visit Birmingham each year at Christmas and a visit to Asha's is part of the treat. Good service and great food
Love Asha’s the food is superb and the whole experience also added to by the company of my exceptional future wife ;)
Every time I visit Birmingham I make sure I have a meal at asha’s!
The food may not be the cheapest, but it is always excellent and the courtesy and friendliness of the staff is outstanding!
Good food, great ambience and top service!
Good all round experience. Took a bit of time to get someone to take the drinks order but food service was good. No options for children which was disappointing.
Great Food- can’t fault that. One of the next we have had in recent times.
However, we were expecting the restaurant to have more things/ pics related to Asha ji. Their life journey pics on the walls and most importantly their songs—- not music to play to audible levels.
If you are going for an experience based on Asha ji’s life and songs- it might not live up to expectations.
Very expensive and small portion sizes. Food quality good.
Asha’s never fails to deliver. Great food, pleasant ambience and first-rate service. It is my personal opinion that it is the best Indian restaurant in Birmingham (I include Michelin starred establishments). I give it my recommendation without reservation.
We reserved the latest possible table for a Birthday lunch
There are six of us in total all ladies. We were greeted promptly, there were only one other couple in the restaurant which I would usually say how about 80 people.
We sat down and had a look at the menu and was then told we have to move to a larger table as our starter and main course would be coming out at the same time due to fact that the kitchen was closing at 230 (Our table is booked for 2 PM)
Considering we paid over £50 per head for a very rushed lunch although the food was lovely, this restaurant definitely did not meet our expectations.
If I had known that this was going to be the case regarding having starters and main at the same time I would never have booked a table at 2 PM, in actual fact I would never have booked the restaurant had I known this.
Exceptionally interesting menu.
I’m vegetarian and there are a lot of varied choices for starter, main and deserts.
The atmosphere is intimate and service is attentive but not intrusive.
Simply the best Indian food I know of.
Worthy of five stars.....credit where it’s due... 👍
The place was nice, but the food was ok. The waiter haggled us about buying a drink, even though we asked for water. The non-alcoholic drink was good, but if we ask for water get us water. We went to Asha's for the first time, thinking that it would be great experience, but it was just an ordinary restaurant with average food for high cost.
