Repeat visit with work colleagues, Food quality was excellent again, however:
1/ Very cold in the restaurant, had to sit with my coat on and the waiters did not even comment or question this.
2/ Decided to have curry in a hurry lunch instead of deluxe lunch. Plates arrived stone cold so the curry and rice soon became cold whilst eating lunch, especially in a cold room
3/ £14 is very expensive for 1 bowl of rice and bowl of curry. Price increases (and for the deluxe lunch) do not make this very good value for money at all. Numerous other quality restaurant in immediate vicinity that provide far better lunch deals.
Probably won't return in future, which is a shame as have been with work colleagues numerous times in the past, but we all agree it is too expensive now. This was backed up by the restaurant been empty when we left.
Thank you, Ian

Service was excellent and food was great. Still one our favourite places to eat and certainly the best place to get an authentic curry in the area.

Firstly the food was amazing! We had the pre-theatre menu which was excellent value for money.

The experience was tainted by the rude waitress. We had pre-booked to arrive at 5.30 but arrived at 5.15. The waitress who greeted us showed us to a table that was about 15cm away from another table, squeezed into the corner. I asked if there was another table in an area a little less crowded (the restaurant looked fairly empty at this point). The waitress reluctantly showed us to a slightly bigger table that was facing the busy bar, there were plenty of tables nearby which were also empty, I asked if we could have the next table along but the waitress said it was booked. It wasn't booked until after we were due to leave we later found out. Very reluctantly she allowed us to move table. She questioned and spoke to me like I was talking to her in another language. She should not be front of house if she can't deal with a really simple request on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

If the restaurant was busy I wouldn't have even asked to move.

5 star food but definitely not 5 star service, although the waiter who served us was pleasant. The beer menu was also very limited and would have hoped for some better quality beers to match the quality food.

Amazing food, but the service let it down. We weren’t asked if we wanted starters, had to call the waiters over constant, the dessert did not arrive, so ended up cancelling the order.

Fabulous first visit to Ashas to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
Restaurant is beautifully decorated, lots of room, very impressive stocked bar. Food was amazing! Because Ashas is a fine dining restaurant me and my husband were only expecting small portions- oh my god! We were pleasantly surprised! The portions of food we received were huge! And everything tasted absolutely delicious! Had a lovely strawberry daiquiri cocktail 🍹 Definitely planning a return visit in the not so distant future 😊

We very much enjoyed our meal and we were even seated earlier than our booking time. Very accommodating staff.

The food was extremely tasty and a level above.

My only criticism is that the curry prices are quite inflated but recognise it’s a big City Centre restaurant with reputation.

Lovely night though.

I met some friends here for lunch. One of our party was very late but the waiter was very understanding even though we didn’t order food until 2.15 and the kitchen closed at 2.30. Food was great, lunch menu was good value and service very relaxed. We were the only people there after 2pm so difficult to judge the ambience when busy although nicely fitted out. I would definitely go back in the evening and try the a la carte menu.
