Atithi Indian Cuisine
Early evening meal so quite empty but giving us prompt and pleasant service. Interesting dishes cooked nicely.
Nice meal with prompt service
My lamb was beautifully tender and fat free
Lively food, great service, good restaurant! Have been twice now and will definitely going again.
We’ve always liked this restaurant as food is always fresh and a bit different from a usual Indian restaurant ... just a bit disappointed with the food this time just wasn’t cooked to its usual high standard ..
I had the prawn biryani for a change rather than my regular lamb dish and it was very good and will be eating it again in the not too distant future. Best curry restaurant in Twickenham
It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, not greasy or overpowering in spice. Generous portions and good presentation. Staff are super friendly and attentive
Excellent meal. The food was delicious. Attentive and very pleasant service. Would definitely recommend.
Best curry I’ve had in London so far!!! Absolutely loved it
Visited Athithi many times before. But never had an occasion to whine either about food or service. Good food and strongly recommend if someone want to eat Indian cuisine by an Indian chef.
We went early on a Thursday evening and it was quite quiet when we arrived, with a couple more tables arriving later giving the place more of a buzz.
It is a little more expensive than some of the local restaurants, but I felt it was worth it.
A very good selection of dishes, albeit not an extensive menu. Each dish was well prepared and presented. The service was very attentive.
Would definitely visit again and have already recommended to friends.
Best Indian dining in twickenham
Excellent food, very good service and nice touches. Interesting dishes too, rather than the usual standard choices.
Visited Atithi for a family supper on a Saturday evening and were delighted with our choice. The service and food were excellent. The initial impression of the menu is a mix of recognisable classics combined with intriguing creative dishes. Each of our choices, even the classics, had an original twist and the flavours were fresh, light and fragrant - delighting the eye and the taste buds. They also offered a special Summer Menu which was full of original dishes and some delicious starters. Quiet when we arrived but soon filled up and they were turning the tables over throughout the evening - having said that we never felt rushed at all. Would definitely recommend for both the beautifully cooked food and the charming service.
Very nice evening. Lovely food and excellent service
The usual standard of food and service at this ever reliable stand out curry house
Great value for money too and not a duff or bland dish on the menu!
Won't be long before going back
Great, authentic Indian restaurant. Very pleasant ambience, unobtrusive but effective service and overall real good value. Try their kebabs for a starter; they are very tasty and at true same time size wise exactly right to begin a meal. Many vegetarian and non-veg options for the mains, and tastes have been kept authentic (don't expect your run off the mill butter chicken here).
Great food, beautifully presented. Slightly on the expensive side - but the food was high quality and different (in a good way) to the standard Indian fare. Mustard chicken starter got great reviews as did chicken methiwala and the paneer mains.
We had a lovely meal here today. The staff were very attentive especially Abinoor. The food tasted wonderful as always and we left with complimentary dessert which we thought was a lovely gesture.
Ate here last night with an Indian friend, who ordered the meal. I thought the food was very good, tasty, distinct tastes. We had 2 starters, a paneer in a sauce and some dahl, plus 2 mains, a chicken and a lamb with spinach, plus a side and 2 different breads.
My friend felt for an Indian restaurant the portion sizes were small so it made it more expensive/less good value. However we did not manage to finish it all!!
Restaurant was busy, so nice atmosphere.
Service was fine, not over friendly, but job was done
Delicious food and a nice touch for the chef to send out a complementary taster starter. Very patient staff despite our noisy group with tired kids!
Great food as always. Both my husband and I have very sensitive stomachs but we never have a problem with the food here. The food is not oily like most Indian restaurants and everything is presented beautifully. My dairy allergy is always taken care of which is a bonus.
Unusual menu and everything we tried was excellent. Highly recommend.
We moved to Twickenham 6 months ago and have been seeking out the best local Indian restaurant . Well after a pleasant 6 months of curry tasting we've found it!
The food is delicious and beautifully presented with some slightly unusual dishes on the menu.
The staff are friendly, attentive and informative.
We might just have to return again this week!
Other tables were given a welcome starter but we were not. Food was good but took some time to get our order taken.
Warm, friendly, attentive service and exceptional dishes - thank you for a very special evening!
Took my husband here for his birthday so very pleased to have such a good meal from start to finish. It was well presented and everything tasted great!
This has to be the nicest Indian cuisine in the Twickenham area. The food was absolutely delicious and not the usually greasy bland food you find at your usual Indian restaurant.
The service was great and the timings of the courses were perfect. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about my experience at this restaurant.
The flavours that came out in our meal were amazing. Everything was spiced as you would expect it to be without being covered in a layer of ghee.
I am also very pleased that Atithi offer a take away service too, so if we can’t make it out for another amazing meal in the restaurant we can at least enjoy it at home instead.
Thank you to all the servers and hats off to the chef!
We chose the menu option which at £30 pp we thought was a bit high at first for a 2 course meal. its not a large menu but there were some interestingly different dishes both as starters and mains. Rice and Naan breads came with the dishes and to be honest there was more than plenty. Really enjoyed the flavours.
Staff were very welcoming and smiley. Would definitely recommend to others and go back myself.
A tasty variety of dishes - not your run of the mill curry house by any means. I thought some of them (a prawn starter, a lamb main) compared favourably with Veeraswamy, but at a fraction of the price. The wine was similarly good but inexpensive. The only oddity was that the place was largely empty, and this was on a Friday evening. We would definitely go again.
My wife and I came here for dinner. From the moment we walked in we were looked after. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. One of the best Indian Restaurants in my opinion.
Went for an early dinner as we had heard about the place from friends. The staff are very friendly and the service was excellent, they did everything to make us welcome. As we had a large group we ordered a lot of food and everything was tasty and hit the right spot.
Lots of veg options but meat eaters will not go hungry.
Everything is cooked to order and and come piping hot. The nan breads are soft and there are some very unusual choices.
Will be visiting again soon.
Great to be able to eat authentic high quality Indian dishes with a twist without having to travel miles. Quiet and understated restaurant that pays attention to details.
After spending the day at a rugby match we decided to head to this indian restaurant after reading a few reviews. We were certainly not disappointed as the food was some of the best I have had at an Indian restaurant and the service was brilliant. We were given complimentary food from the chef to try and the waiting times on food were absolutely fine despite being busy.
Would completely recommend this restaurant to anyone and will be returning again for another meal!
Believe the reviews ! We went for lunch before England Italy and the food was great - not the biggest menu but don't let that put you off. As you'd expect it was very busy but our drinks came quickly and whilst the food took a while they told us it would when we ordered.
This was a group booking and we were well received. Although a little quite when we arrived, it picked up and was a good atmosphere. Food was superb. Some of my guests said it was there best "curry" ever, and thorough enjoyed it. A personal by the chef was appreciated. Would recommend.
this is a fab restaurant, very understated and to be honest I hadn't really noticed it although I live in Twickenham. really welcoming and accommodating service, great food and generous portions. unusually too in my experience, the wine (Sauvignon) was a really nice one.
This is a small Indian restaurant tucked away on in Twickenham. I have been twice, both times with a group of 8 to 10 people, and although the place is small they have always accommodated me. The food is a la carte , and the food is top notch, not a single disappointing dish. Service is very attentive, and the prices reasonable. Only feedback I got from my Team was that they needed more choice of beer, there was if I remember only Cobra or Bud. Overall great evening.thank you.
We chose this Indian Restaurant from Trip Advisor reviews, for our recent trip to Twickenham, and were not disappointed. It was beautiful. The food was amazing and presentation faultless. The service was great and the chef came out and talked to us too.
We took photos of each of the dishes and plan to show them to our local Indian restaurant owner here in Plymouth (beautiful presentation and flavour is possible!)
Well to be precise, that part of the world without the heat, just a professional use of the surrounding countries exotic spices.
Need I really say more? This is my favourite in our area Richmond, Barnes, Old Isleworth, St Margaret's, Twickenham, we have a few others in town.
In fact the chef / owner came and introduced himself. He used to work at an old haunt, The Rasoi in Chelsea, very upmarket. Here we have upmarket, authentic fayre from the sub continent without the price tag of the west end.
A must try if, like me, you love the nations favourite, well prepared and beautifully presented. See you soon.
Good food, served in a modern way, good service with attentive staff. Would recommend anyone wanting good indian food in the Twickenam area!
