Auberge du Pommier
We had a terrific dinner seated next to the fireplace.
Everything was great. Choices of wine by the glass were excellent except none offered at a reasonable price.
Every thing was fine staff is great. Frites not so much
Wonderful place to dine. I have been many times and it will always be one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto.
Fantastic evening. Excellent and attentive service. One of Toronto’s most classic and wonderful dining spots.
Toujours un plaisir.
Auberge never fails to impress. A favourite spot of the family for many years and theres a reason for it.
Experience it for yourself and you'll know why that is.
It was nice to dine in a refined and beautiful room where we could speak at a normal level when today so many restaurants have hard surfaces so the sound just bounces around. The food was traditional, but well prepared, portions were generous. Warmed plates would have been nice. We'll be back.
Fantastic food & service. Charming French decor.
My fiance and I just had the most amazing first experience at this restaurant on Saturday night.
From start to finish, we were thoroughly impressed with the ambiance, service and food we selected.
We look forward to coming back and trying other food items. Cheers to the amazing chefs we did not get the honour of seeing.
While I understand the basics of french cuisine the menu should include some lighter grilled options. Perhaps a steak simply grilled and sliced. My wife doesn't particularly enjoy pate or the thick glazes. The chicken had a strong bitterness to it. Not what my wife expected. It limits our frequency. The ambiance is exceptional. Service was great although I ordered a $15 glass of wine and charged the $24 glass. I didnt say anything and gave her the benefit of the doubt that she forgot and got me a different wine as she was otherwise excellent. I will go back as I love the fireplace.
Great service and food. Will come again. Love the fire
Service was excellent- attentive and courteous. Food was excellent, atmosphere very comfortable, relaxed but aesthetically pleasing.
Excellent food and service. The tasting menu was a fabulous experience.
The service, the food, and the ambiance was impeccable. It is a real treat to dine here and I will definitely got again.
Service was slow and a bit rude. Although omelette was tasty, the ‘presentation shape’ reminded me of an Air Canada omelette unfortunately.
We’ve been going to Auberge for special occasions for over ten years and we were always pleased with the quality of the food there. However last night was a big disappointment. The appetizers were OK but for the main course we chose the ‘cut of the day’ for two. It was a strip loin that was chewy and tasteless and the sides and sauces overly salty. It was one of the worst steaks I ever had in a restaurant, something you definitely wouldn’t expect in a place like Auberge du Pommier.
Jordan our server was fantastic and attentive the food as always was perfect! The squash soup was absolutely delicious!
lovely lunch for 5 by the crackling fire
we all ordered coffee after the meal - it was decidedly stale, I would have expected a fresh pot ... a sour note on an otherwise delightful lunch
We enjoyed our lunch very much. The food was delicious but we found that the lunch menu was somewhat limited.
This was probably the most exquisitely presented meal I’ve ever had the privilege of enjoying the wine, Cristina Mt Jefferson 2015, was perfect. Each dish has excellent flavour
It has been quite awhile since we have been Auberge du Pommier. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We are just waiting for the winter menu and will be back!
Excellent ambiance.
Friendly greeting and table selection.
Service is French style and very good. We did however wish the server would have plated the vegetables rather than a pass around bowl, with no spoon.
Food and presentation was excellent.
Good wine selection and champagne.
Prices are not for the faint of heart.
Thoroughly enjoyed the total experience of lunch, and so did my two guests.
Always good!
My 40th birthday at Auberge Du Pommier was everything I had hoped for. The ambiance at the restaurant is subtle elegance as the backdrop is large whitewashed stone encapsulating the area will there is a beautiful white bouquet centrepiece in the main dining area. The wait staff are knowledgable and courteous, always looking to make your experience a memorable one. My sincere thanks for making my milestone birthday a special one.
Fantastic tasting menu. Adding wine paring seemed like a no-brainer at such a great value. Everything we ate was perfectly prepared and exactly complemented by the wine paired with each dish.
Auberge was a favourite of mine while living at Yonge & Lawrence 20 years ago but have since moved away. I recently returned and was delighted to see the same quality that I knew then is still alive and well. The staff are all happy, friendly, and helpful. The menu is extremely well thought out and the food is spectacular both in presentation and taste.
Would highly recommend for a top-end dining experience.
Lovely ambiance. We were celebrating three birthdays. We knew going in it would be a bit of a splurge and we enjoyed it all.
Very good but would like to have more veggie

Great place
As always an excellent choice for a special occasion restaurant. Finer dining through and through. O&B's flagship is an absolute pleasure.
Wonderful birthday dinner with excellent service from all staff members and delicious food.
I was blown away with how wonderful everything was. The rood was amazing!
Overall, we were really hoping to enjoy this place. We chose the tasting menu.
The good - service was excellent, ambience was nice and desert was great.
The not so good - for a place with such a reputation for quality food, ironically, the food was the underwhelming part. The beef course was especially disappointing. Not sure what cut of beef was served, but it was way to chewy and we both tried a couple of bites before giving up. The fish dishes were just ok, and overall nothing really stood out. The desert was the best part of the meal. Unfortunately we had to sit through all the other dishes beforehand.
Bottom line - We will not go back anytime soon. Perhaps the tasting menu was just the wrong choice.
We were sitting in the room adjacent to the patio which was beautiful. Service was very good. While the food was beautifully presented it was lukewarm at best. That was very disappointing. We were celebrating, so no one wanted to complain and ruin the mood. The dining chairs were so old they were threadbare and very uncomfortable. We chose Auberge because we wanted a truly fine dining experience not a mediocre, expensive evening.
Dining experience is excellent as always, the dishes were all a little over season during this visit though, a bit too salty for my palate.
I was really looking forward to the experience and while the ambience and service were great, the food was mediocre.
One of the best meals I ever had, my favourite restaurant in Toronto by far!
When our order was sent to the wrong table, our server told us we would get new "plated" orders. 2 minutes later, our order. Was it a new order?
I also liked the "business casual". Our neighbour had on sweat pants and the other table had on a ball hat. Not the "fine" dinging we hoped for.
We don't get out often for special meals kid free and this was a terrific evening top to bottom. The evening flew by in the best not rushed way. Food was fantastic, service attentive, ambiance lovely.
