Avvio is always delivers an excellent dining experience!

We had a friend in from out of town and took him to Avvio. It was a great success. The good was great and the waiter was awesome.

My friend and I ordered two martinis. The server brought the wrong drinks. I understand people make mistakes. It was her attitude that I didn't appreciate. She made us feel like it was our error. I never order Sangria's. I dislike wine. Also, when ordering dinner, my friend and I order chicken parmesan with the sauce on the side. Both dinners came with sauce on both the chicken parmesan and pasta. The gentleman that brought the food over was very apologetic. Once again, the order was taken incorrectly.

AVVIO never disappoints! They are doing an outstanding job maintaining their quality experience during this pandemic.

Avvio's offers a simple menu of basic Italian cuisine. The staff are always professional. The restaurant is clean and the prices are very reasonable.

I felt like we were a bit rushed. My husbands Chicken Parm panini looked more like a sub. It was dry with not a lot of sauce. I ordered the chicken and penne which was fairly decent but the pieces of chicken were bite size; I ordered linguini and just plain chicken for my picky 15 year old but we got penne instead and the sauce from the chicken and penne. When I told the waitress, she didn’t really offer to do anything about it. The soup was not very hot and did not have enough salt. Finally, the sangria was ok - but you could not really taste any wine or liquor in it. After having eaten at other restaurants in the Newport Group this experience was disappointing and certainly not worth the $103.00 we spent on it before tip.

Great food, great service and felt safe with social distancing of tables.

We've ordered Antipasto at numerous restaurants and Avvio's is by far the best!! It's a meal for two! Service was very good, attentive but not hovering. My husband and I split a sandwich and asked for the aoli on the side, as my husband does not care for it. Unfortunately, they put it on the sandwich. The waitress apologized profusely and offered numerous times to remake the sandwich. We declined, not wanting to have to wait and we were already full from the antipasto. I would highly recommend Avvio's, despite the mishap.

Started our new years eve celebration with appetizers and bubbly at Avvio last night. Perfect place to celebrate anything! We cannot wait to go back!

The food was very good and the service was excellent.

This was my first experience and looking forward to dinner. The menu was very limited. The waitress could not explain if a flat iron steak was tender. The steak was extremely tough and the portion of potatoes and vegetables was minimal for the amount of money for this plate. We won’t be going back nor would we recommend.

We started with beverages and an eggplant appetizer which was very good. I had the sauvignon blanc (SAUVIGNON BLANC COLLI ORIENTALE DOC, torre rosazza, friuli ‘17)
wine, which was quite good, and my husband had a beer. For dinner, my husband ordered the Steak Frites, and I ordered a meatball pizza. The food was delicious, as usual. one little issue, the standard wine pour is 3 ounces. Yep .... 3 ounces. $9.00. 6 ounces was $ 12. I ordered a bottle after that discovery ($40). I really liked it though and am having some shipped from New York (about $12 a bottle ... Avivo is not serving the 2017 that is on the menu .. it is a 2019. ). So great service, great food, just order the bottle of wine.

Great quiet and good food

Seemed safe with waitstaff wearing masks and cleaning tables. Food was delicious. Waiter was very polite and enjoyable to talk to. Safe environment

Always a great lunch, and this time was great. Love the fig pizza and tri color salad. Service is friendly and responsive. Enjoyed eating outside in the heated tent. I felt very safe.

Great food & staff. A very enjoyable dining experience

My family and I went for Christmas Eve dinner. We have been going there the last few years and loved it. This year everything was excellent except for the menu. Not much of a selection of entrees or appetizers, the menu had many sandwiches, pizza. I was disappointed. I asked the waiter and he said it was due to COVID and the state pause. I hope next year’s menu will be much better.

Always consistent with service and food, it is why I prefer coming here over other choices in the area!
