The menu offers selections combining the rich, creamy sauces and hearty meats of Brescia with the fresh seafood and the delicate fruits and vegetables of Amalfi. Once inside, an 18-foot, gently curving mahogany ceiling serves as the blossom connecting the fine woodcarving of the front and side dining rooms and bar area. Georgia O'Keeffe's flower series surrounds guests as they choose from Azalea's distinctive menu and extensive wine list.
Azalea strives to be a place where extraordinary food meets exceptional service in a warm, comfortable setting.

Only thing better than the service. Is the food. Very professional food is out standing
We went there before heading over to the Broadway Theatre. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. Our only complaint was that it was cold. We sat as far away from the door as possible. Our thought was that it was that way because of the windows. We asked to have them turn up the heat, but was told it was controlled by the building management. Anyway, once the restaurant filled in, it was a bit warmer. We will definitely return and would recommend it.
Nothing to write home about. A little disappointed as it was SO cold outside and it felt like the restaurant barely had the heat on. I will also say while the service was great, truly attentive staff, the flow from the kitchen was super slow, as there was pretty much only 10 people in the whole restaurant. Maybe better for the theater crowd, not so much for lunch.
Risotto was delicious!
Gracious friendly service. Delicious menu items and specials as judged by 4 tough New Yorkers. Good understanding of the theaterbound customer.
It was very cold in the restaurant. The food was good!
I was extremely disappointed. It is not inexpensive and the food was mediocre: overly sweet squash ravioli and a chicken dish that was so cold the cheese had congealed. I would have complained but the waiter never came over to see how the meal was, and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. I went largely because of their prix fixe menu, but they didn’t give out the prix fixe menus until I asked for them. I will not go back and suggest you can go somewhere better!
The night we were there it was snowing.
The restaurant was cold inside an the food, when it came out was also cold.
I would not recommend this restaurant; their are overpriced. Who pays $18.00 for a glass of wine in a restaurant in the theatre district?
Such nice people but such mediocre food. We came after the theater and there were people at only one other table. Their "special" chicken dish was very ordinary; the chicken was rubbery and the whole thing was put together without any artistry or flavor.
Had 6:30 reservations, table was ready when we arrived. Upon seating we mentioned we were seeing an 8:00 show and were told it would not be a problem. The wait staff was extremely attentive and professional.
Our food came out hot and delicious. We were served at a perfect pace and had plenty of time to enjoy dessert.
Great food, cocktails, ambiance, service. Shareable appetizers!
After going Kathy and Andrew to see to kill a Mockingbird, we came to Azalea
The salads were excellent to start.
While the chicken special was excellent. The pasta with bogalnaise sauce
was nothing that special with a lack of flavor.
The service was excellent when they finally figured which table
All in all a pleasurable night
So happy we did our pre show lunch at this wonderful restaurant. Ambiance, service, food and value were the best. We highly recommend Azalea!
Good restaurant for pre theater.
Would not go there for a dinner out.
I dined at Azalea with 4 other ladies after we saw WEST SIDE STORY. The show was fantastic and our dinner was too! We sat at a nice round table by the big window and our server was very pleasant and attentive. It’s a smaller restaurant but that makes for a quieter setting. All 5 of us LOVED our meals! If you enjoy good pasta dishes I think you’ll appreciate dinning here. If you’re a chocolate lover order the warm chocolate cake, WOW delicious!
I’m planning on bringing my restaurant snob hubby here for sure.
food tasty Not much to eat. Portions very small and price for what we got was outrageous
Mixed bag. Wine wasn’t very good. Salad was terrible - no salt on table to add. Main course was very good!
good for studio 54, othe b'way venues. food not super but pretty good.
We will go again. Perfect pre theatre spot, or for a night out.
Average food for high prices. Obviously for the captive audiences coming from theater next door. Service was good, and special cocktail was very nice. Very pedestrian Italian fare.
Amazing food and wine. Superb service as always.
Excelente atención.. excelente comida.. gracias por todo lo hecho el 31 a la noche por nosotros. Feliz 2020...
Good spot for pre theater dinner. The service was good as was the food. The wine choices were somewhat pricey. Cheapest bottle of red wine was $70 for an ok bottle of Chianti. I would recommend this restaurant for the convenient location.
Excellent service, cuisine, and really fast. Great choice for theatre goers.
This was the second time dining here. The service was terrific and dishes were very good
Everything was great. Only problem was I called in advance to say it was my mom’s birthday and if I could arrange assorted desserts with a candle. They even asked her name. They assured me that it was noted and I wouldn’t have to do the awkward get up during dinner, find the waiter without being detected thing. We were handed dessert menus so I knew I had to go through the motions. The wait staff was quick to please and all was fine. Otherwise food was wonderful. It has been our go to before/after theater for years.
Enjoyed the food and the price was decent but i thought the pasta choices were a bit limited for an Italian restaurant. The service and wait staff were excellent.
We had a great meal here before a Broadway show.
This was a Christmas dinner choice, which was based on location and the fact they were not inflating their prices due to the holiday. We had a great time, loved the ambiance. Everything else was truly ordinary. Food was well prepared, but unmemorable, portions small, presentation adequate. Prices are in line for the area, but there are too many other options that are better choices for me to seek out Azalea during regular dining hours.
We went to this restaurant before seeing a show. The service was outstanding. The waiter was very attentive and our glasses were always filled with water. The food was good....not amazing....just good. Portions were small for the price but presentation of the food was well done. Overall it was just an average restaurant. Being that there are so many other restaurants in NYC I doubt I would visit this one again. It was decent but nothing special.
Truffle chicken prosciutto was sooo good. I would go back for sure!
This was our first time at Azalea. We Took a chance as it was close to the show we were seeing. We will definitely be coming here again. Food was excellent. A little pricey for lunch but still worth it.
Food was somewhat cold, the bread was cold and mediocre flavor
No heat and no apology for that let alone the offer of a round of drinks or a dessert to share.
I booked a reservation for Azalea through this website. The restaurant was great. I would recommend and can’t wait to go again. The restaurant was very clean, organized, and staff were friendly. Our waiter was great. He was very accommodating and nice. The food was also amazing. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. Everything was wonderful. Overall, great experience!
This is the second time we have dined here, both before seeing a show. I think location, value, food and ambiance are all very good, especially the location. It’s not right on Times Square so there aren’t hoards of people on the street outside the restaurant, which is nice. The food is good, and not outrageously priced for NYC. The wine is good too. I could only reserve a table at 4:30pm for 5 people, yet when we arrived, the restaurant was practically empty and remained that way up until about 5:30, when it finally started to fill up. Maybe the tables were all reserved for 6pm on? We would come back here again.
Overall a good evening. The service was very good as was the wine and fish entrees. Definitely worth the visit.
Very noisey. Food was just ok.
Pasta was very raw. Had to chew it Missed the al dente by a mike
