The menu offers selections combining the rich, creamy sauces and hearty meats of Brescia with the fresh seafood and the delicate fruits and vegetables of Amalfi. Once inside, an 18-foot, gently curving mahogany ceiling serves as the blossom connecting the fine woodcarving of the front and side dining rooms and bar area. Georgia O'Keeffe's flower series surrounds guests as they choose from Azalea's distinctive menu and extensive wine list.
Azalea strives to be a place where extraordinary food meets exceptional service in a warm, comfortable setting.

Food and service were poor. No specials were mentioned yet the table next to us were told about them. My husband's steak was overcooked and needed to be sent back. My entree was much too salty.
Friendly maitre’d, quick service, chicken Milanese was delicious. Needed a spot to eat as a family pre theatre. Would go again!
The food was fabulous.. but for the price, the portion size should have been a bit bigger.
Delicious food. Great location for theatre. Thoroughly enjoyed
Food was very good. The portions were a bit small. It wasn’t noisy.
Positive. Good food service and location
had a reservation after seeing " Tina ", no problems; service excellent; food very good; very nice restaurant
great staff but food laclkluster food for the price.
Food was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely return
Lunch Pre Fixe listed at $26 on open table site when reservation was made. Charged $30 at the restarant wouldn’t accept site listed price. Charged 20% gratuity on bill for table of 6 people. Overpriced but food was presented well and adequate serving size. Will not return nor recommend in the future.
My wife and I were going to see a play, and I chose this restaurant from a google search based on ratings. I made reservations with open table and when we got to the restaurant our table was ready and right on time. Our reservations were for 645 and our venue was at 8 PM, so we were in a little bit of a crunch time. We didn’t mention it to the waiter. We had drinks and an appetizer then our meal and everything came out in a very respectable time, no dessert saved that for later. The food was cooked perfectly. It was our first time there and was very impressed. Very clean too.
Great service and good food! Great for going to any show
Small portions. Slow service. Very expensive. Genuine Italian solid food
We went pre-theatre and early. The food and service were both very good. We were in a corner and it was cold and drafty though the night was cold too. Overall, we would return.
Overpriced and the food is rich. Lovely place to talk, however.
Very good ... food and ambiance. Would definitely go back.
Tired. That's what I'd call this Italian outpost on the upper end of the theatre district. The food is okay, the service a bit too quick from years of pre-theatre meals (it's empty after 7:45 on a Saturday night). We had a late curtain and had to force the waiter to slow down the service. There are too many good Italian restaurants in the neighborhood to return here.
The prices are not $$ - I would say $$$. The food is very good.
Server kept forgetting about us and our requests. Then arbitrarily added $300 to bill and took a long time to correct. We had to run to the theatre
Amazing!!!!!!!! Incredible staff, incredible food and some of the best Italian food you will ever have!
Beautiful presentation on all dishes, however, a bit overpriced.
Wonderful, intimate little place in the heart of the theater district. Food aNd service were very good and efficient so that you can enjoy your pre-theater meal without feeling rushed. Great experience - highly recommend for pre-theater dinner.
Great restaurant to go to before a show!
Good selection of pasta dishes and desserts.
We had a really great dinner here before theater. The service was friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The calamari were just so-so, but all of the entrees were outstanding. The atmosphere was nice, too -- not the usual loud, frenetic scene that we've come to expect. We could actually hear each other talk. We'll definitely go back and would highly recommend Azalea.
Pre-theatre dining for our group
We were going to see Wicked and it was so convenient...under the same awning. Great food, excellent service. Overall great!!
No over-the-top pretense here — just nicely creative salads (ex: spinach with goat cheese and poached pear) coupled with excellent well-prepared entrees and warm, attentive service.
Will be back.
Pre-show dinner for 2: both had specials, delicious, perfect portions. Service was excellent. Good value/price for NYC. Would recommend.
Very nice restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. So sorry they did not have a fish listed on the menu. Was looking forward to having it... :(
We were pleasantly surprised. Some of the food was excellent (e.g. the pear salad). My niece loved her risotto. My afagato was also surprisingly good. The space was great. At least on this day, it was not overly crowded and it was easy to have a conversation. My fish was ok- not superb. They did get one of our orders wrong, but were super accommodating about that. I won’t hesitate to go back.
Food was very good. Service was way too quick, we felt like we were rushed all evening. Hadn’t even put our fork down on the plate and it was being taken away.
As One of the only restaurants in the theater district in that area, we chose Azalea for a Saturday lunch sadly they have a very limited menu not including any of the brunch favorites such as omelettes and other interesting items the service was acceptable
This place is a gem. The food is delicious. The service superb. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. My friends and I love to celebrate our birthdays there
Better than yesterday. Got the filet Mignon and potatoes this time around. Still had to ask to be seated outside...
Got a Malbec with my steak and crème brûlée for dessert with coffee.
Overall nice improvement from day before!
Waiter seemed to have an attitude. Not attentive. Drinks not a full pour. Food ok. Not up to NY standards as we dine in the city frequently.
I made the reservation through open table and requested “outdoor seating, if available,” not knowing if it was even an option. I arrived to a grumpy hostess, who didn’t even say anything, but took me to a table in the corner.
There was no explanation of any specials, and as I found out the next night, there are some.
Wine per glass is only “House,” which seems short for “too lazy to type on wine list.”
The lasagna was good, as was the Chianti that I had with it. Warm chocolate brownie was really good!
We were looking forward to the Rigatoni Bolagnese. It had very little bolagnese meat sauce on it, and we asked for additional sauce. The dish also felt dry and lacked flavour.
The other thing we didn’t like was the lowest bottle of red wine was $75. We were just having a quick meal, so it’s great to have more economical choices. The ambience of the place and location did not suit the pricey wine list.
Way overpriced for the amount and quality. The food wasn't bad. I've just had much better at lower prices at Italian restaurants nearby.
Service was fast. Too fast. How could they have my dinner ready in less than 5 minutes. But it tasted fine. It was a pasta with Salmon, spinach in a light tomato sauce. I had to call someone over to give me parmesan cheese. $24. A bit high for the amount of salmon they gave me but it is in the theater district. Very convenient spot. When I was running late (I called) , and was only 1 instead of 2 people, the guy at the front who sat people could not have been nicer. I would go again.
