as always amazing foodservice and very well handled with regards to SD guidleines.

As usual, this was a pleasant visit. We have been visiting this restaurant for a very long time and the food has always been innovative and interesting. Service has been very good - the new circumstances under COVID 19 needs adjustment from all sides. We will continue to visit this gem of a restaurant.

The marquee was a delight! And the service was very good despite the current conditions. As for the food - delicious with plenty of interesting choices. Babur maintains its high standard after 35 years!

First restaurant after lock down. The food as ever superb with a very good wine list and great service. They have done a fantastic job with the restrictions to still give you a lovely dining experience

I haven't been to Babur in forever, but it was the best by far.

Service was very quick, we didn't have to wait in-between servings at all.

The food was on point for both flavour and temperature, it was to die for.

As always the food here is amazing in this hidden south London gem. I really think this would be pushing 1 Michelin star in central London. Very thoughtful and good wine list also.

Food very good BUT we arrived on time and were told that our table was being cleared. 30 minutes later we were still waiting. We were not advised of the delay and kept updated

Top quality food for very reasonable prices with great service.

Great food. Did make us wait 20 mins which was a bit annoying when we had booked.

My husband and I keep returning to Babur, not just because it's where we had our first date (15 years ago!) but because the attention to detail is exceptional, the food is always innovative and the service faultless. What more could you ask for?

Very fine meal, but Babur is a very fine restaurant these days (we first went there over 30 years ago). The food is thoughtful and carefully cooked and well presented. The waiting staff are excellent. It is probably the best restaurant in the area, and there is some competition. A wonderful evening out.

This was probably my fifth trip to Babur. It's a fantastic gem of a restaurant. Well worth a visit! All food and cocktails are fantastic. Can't wait for an excuse to go again!

Our group of three enjoyed the food which was delicious, but we felt as if we were being rushed throughout our time there and the waiter broke into our conversation and stood waiting at our table before we were ready to order. We were not automatically presented with a wine list prior to ordering a meal - only a drinks menu. Overall, probably won't be returning any time soon.

Lovely cocktails, great food with both some classical and some unique influences. A real find.

Booked at short notice on a weekday evening, and had a drive to get there. It was worth it however - professional though relaxed service, finely executed dishes, and a lovely sense of peace and civilisation as all the other diners were clearly enjoying their experience too. Thank you Babur. We will not leave it so long before our next visit.

Nicely decorated restaurant. Food was tasty and not by any means the normal high street curry. Good wine list although overpriced.

I have enjoyed the Babur since the 1980s. Over the years it has become more sophisticated in its presentation. Why would I think nowadays of going to central London to eat an Indian meal when I can eat just as well (no,better ) at the Babur?

This is not your average curry place. The service was impeccable from the moment you walked in to the moment you left. The host was lovely and seated us immediately even though they didn't get the reservation from Opentable. Luckily I had the confirmation email but there was really no need to show them as they took me at my word. We demurred the tasting menu as we thought we would be too full but we had the scallops to start with suggested wine pairings with our mains, the sea bream and the duck, with pilau rice, sag aloo and crispy potatoes for our sides. We also had the deliciously fluffy garlic naan bread. They also had great cocktails. An overall wonderful experience.

Food was lovely but felt they'd over booked. We sat down just after 840 and got our food at 1030. It tasted lovely but too long a wait...

Excellent food, as always at Babur. Took family this time, and they were very impressed. Best Indian main course he has ever eaten - said my dad (it was the chicken supreme).

Seriously good food - the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. A great tasting menu with a really good wine pairing, and all excellent value for money given just how good the food was. Service was also relaxed, friendly and very knowledgeable.
