The food was fantastic, we were very impressed with the flavours of the dishes. The service was excellent nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after. It was very quiet in the restaurant it wasn't very busy and so that felt a little awkward but nothing that could be helped.
Had our first date at the bali brasserie and returned 6 years on. So wish we hadn't left it so long. The reception was warm and helpful. Service staff were polite and efficient. The food was out of this world with staff helping with our choice. We had a mixed starter. Plenty of variety. Then two a fish dishes and a prawn dish to follow. Both were clearly prepared with fresh ingredients. Definatly be returning very soon.
Good food and good service. Good value too. Would come again
Have not been here for a while and it was lovely . Good food and service.
There was a wedding on so they were slightly distracted.
Always consistently good. A firm favourite of the family.
Great food, wonderful staff and good value. What else can you ask for?!
Has been refurbished since last there - great modern feel whilst retaining the established good customer service and excellent food.
Great food as always, friendly atmosphere, excellent service, vegetarian options. Can be a bit noisy if there is a party in the bar otherwise a great venue
Retro place with very nice food.
Food quality and choice was excellent. We had the buffet and it was beautiful. Good wide choice. Service was very friendly and attentive. Beautiful authentic decor. Very comfortable seating. Was well worth the drive from Worthing.
A la carte choice excellent. Buffet good variety of choices. Service dood.
Delicious, reasonably -priced food in a kitsch/retro setting. Friendly and attentive service. It has to be experienced!
Love this place. Met some friends for dinner and ate a la carte rather than buffet. Food is superb value and the wine list is also well priced (starts at £16 a bottle). It used to have a wonderfully cheesy vibe to it, helped by the 70's decor but it's just had a refurb. It has lost some of it's charm if I am totally honest but our waiter informed us that they still have lots more coming, new furniture, wall art etc so it's not yet finished yet. Service was fantastic as it always has been on visits in the past too.
I'm local to the area, I think this place is great fun and I hope to be dining here for years to come.
Being here for the first time, looking for an alternative to Chinese cuisine, tried their Nasi Goreng (Indonesia Fried Rice) and it was excellent! The staff were excellent and attentive to your needs as well! Will definitely visit again.
Poor food for the prices they have. The staff were really friendly and tried their best to make us feel really good, but the food was nothing special. It was like flying Ryanair for the price of Cathay Pacific.
We had a lovely meal here - we were well looked after by friendly attentive staff. We had a drink in the bar while we ordered. It was comfortable - not the most subtle cocktail -a bit sweet- but a nice experience. We enjoyed the food very much -the fish curry was fabulous. We would go again.
My friend and I enjoyed the satay ayam topped with peanut sauce and keripik.
Their sambal blachan was definitely spicy enough ( we can handle the heat )
We tried the ayam kari, daging tiram and udang asam manis but nothing special to be honest and the mee goreng was disappointing.
Warung Tujuh (7 Pool Valley) another Indonesian restaurant offers dishes that taste more authentic.
As always, the food was excellent and service attentive.
I've eaten here many times, and have never been disappointed. Good service, great food at a very good price. What's not to love?
I didn't like this place at all. The setting should have put me off, it's located in what appears to be a social housing block.
Food was full to ordinary and the place was full of noisy drunken birthday parties.
Many seemed to be enjoying themselves and I think my sustain is entirely due to snobbery and having had the good fortune to go to so many better restaurants.
If you like holiday camps, you'll probably enjoy the Bali Brasserie...
The staff were very friendly but were let down by the worst service I have seen. The starters were slow coming, but we had the early arrival of a side dish of prawn crackers. We then waited 45 minutes for the main dish to arrive. When it came only 1 of the 2 rice dishes arrived. I tried to attract the attention of staff. At one point I indicated to someone on the way to refill the buffet that I wanted attention but she returned to the kitchen by a longer route to avoid us. I had to leave my seat to find someone. People to our left waited even longer & again only 1 rice dish arrived. Couple on our right had to get up to find staff to take the order. They had the nerve to add a 10% service charge. Food excellent but will not return.
We had booked in to the hotel across the road from the Brasserie, and needed somewhere else to eat. After looking at the menu on the outside of the Brasserie, we decided to give it a try. I found OpenTable by using my phone's Google, and joined it. We booked for two of us for the evening (a Friday), and were well pleased when we got there.
The food was superb, full flavoured, but not too hot. The underlying tastes could be separately identified, and made a super combination, a very good chef was in that kitchen.
The service was good, and when two friends arrived unexpectedly, they were catered for with no fuss.
This is a good restaurant, well done!
The service was excellent. We have been coming here for years. My daughter chose to come here to celebrate her birthday. We love the rice table, the large crackers with chilli, satay and soup before starting the buffet are always excellent.
If you are in the Brighton/Hove area, eat at this restaurant. It is outstandingly good. Firstly the welcome is friendly and genuine and then you encounter the food - WOW. We have visited Malaysia several times (in fact it is our favourite country) and the food here was at least as good as food we have had there. In fact one of the courses (option #1 on the menu) was probably the best main course I have ever had!
Don't be put off by the entrance to the restaurant - it feels like going into a tower block. Just follow the signs - it is easy enough.
We had the Christmas Lunch so I am not able to comment on the Indonesian/Malaysian food. When we arrived they did not have our reservation, but the owner was able to let us have a table. Staff were friendly and efficient.
It really wasn't the best ambience place so good for a cheap and cheerful meal. Wouldn't go on a date there!
We had heard the adverts for Bali Brasserie on the local radio many times and once went there but couldn't get in as there was a private party on, we went last Friday and having been surprised at the less than trendy decor in the bar we were impressed with the caring approach of the staff and enjoyed a terrific meal that was great value. the restaurant was pretty empty which is a great shame for somewhere that can produce such good food, if you've ever thought about going, I recommend you give it a try! Don't be put off by the look of the bar and the odd entrance under a block of flats, it really is a hidden gem!
We made a trip to Brighton and looked up Restaurants. I am a Malaysian and was pleasantly surprise to find a Indonesian/Malaysian restaurant there. Booked the 3 course deal. Was pleasantly surprise by the authentic tasting food.. The Satay tasted close to the ones from home. The service and atmosphere was great as well.. Well done will definitely recommend and visit again we head to that side..
hidden oasis - from the décor to the food a surprise of opulence and gastronomy -good value- I WILL BE BACK
Good food, great ambience , reasonable price and service with smile and enthusiasm . Definately would go again.
we cancelled, the man on the phone asked if i could let you know so that you don't charge them. i'm not sure how to get in contact with you as the email you sent me said not to reply to it, so fingers crossed you'll get this, thank you, jasmine
Bali Brasserie was warm, welcoming and full of festive fun. Great food, freshly cooked and excellent value for money.
Food was delicious, service as ever great and will be back thenext time I am in Brighton!
Went with my in-laws from SE Asia - the food was ok, but anglisiced a bit - so not truly authentic Indonesian food. Service and value was ok.
Ambience could be better. In the basement of a block of flats with pretty tired decor. When we arrived the restaurant had been booked out for a private function and we were sat in the bar. Staff friendly. Ate of the a la carte menu as the buffet looked a bit over subscribed. Very nice curry and rice. Wouldn't go for an upmarket night out but ok for a quick meal.
Bali Brasserie in Hove. A real find- thanks Toptable- never have found it otherwise, located out of town in a block of flats -strange! The restaurant itself has decor alluding to Bali but the staff appear to be European- pretty uniformed polite waitresses from Sweden, Poland. We went for the 17.99 set menu 4 courses. Satay & soup superior to usual Thai places, chocolate mousse with orange sauce yummy and the buffet main course was excellent lots of variety. Great value for money deserves 9.5.
Odd interior, like a 60s Tiki Bar, but great food and very good service. The Beef Rendang was outstanding.
Really lovely customer service. Very friendly. The food was amazing my two daughters aged 14
Bali Brasserie in Hove produced some good choices in a large dining room which unfortunately was almost empty. This family run establishment served up tasty meals with plenty of dishes and is recommended for good value eating.
