THE BEST BREAKFAST AND BRUNCH IN LONDON
Very nice location, food is nothing special
very very loud, tables too close to each other, food very tasty, amazing wine
Loved it. Been plenty of times, always a treat
Great restaurant lovely food and atmosphere. The waiter was great. If you are an ouster lover thats he place for you! Come here every time we are in London.
Everything was excellent, will go back.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. Balthazar serves amazing food and the perfect atmosphere for mid-shopping lunch! I love it
Very buzzy place great location friendly staff and good food
Used to enjoy Balthazar but based on my experience today, I think it’s easily trumped by more mainstream rivals. It’s lost it’s exclusive feel, tables are penned in next to each other like you’re in a Wagamamas on a Saturday.
Service was prompt until food was delivered and then nowhere to be seen. Had to go to the til and pay there as we were unable to get attention of waiting staff.
£85 for two mains, two bottles and a couple of sides. What a joke.
Fantastic- everyone was so nice to our toddler too!
Slow service, very loud, average food
Great ambience and food.
The Salmon Tartare was superb.
Very good. Highly recommend.
Birthday brunch which was amazing. Love love love Balthazar
Friendly, professional staff and the food arrived quickly
Hi, i ate filet de boeuf which was really mediocre to not good. For the price we paid, i do not recommend Balthazar anymore, the service was good, and everybody was friendly and smiling but unfortunately the food was not special for me. We paid 330 pounds 6 people, two bottles of wine included...
Was very disappointed with my dinner and the service. I had contacted the restaurant beforehand to tell them it was my husband’s birthday. I was told they would decorate the dessert order and took his name. We received nothing on our dessert plate and even had to send food back for poor taste. Don’t waste your money there are better restaurants around.
I'm happy we were able to find a Thanksgiving meal in London, but the food was lackluster and the service not great. It was a very busy night and they seemed stretched. The Thanksgiving meal resembled Sunday roast more than traditional American style food.
We didn’t like the afternoon tea sandwiches and some of the desserts
Sadly the service was very poor. Despite the restaurant calling the day before to confirm reservation and also confirming dietary requirements and that we needed to be fast in our service - we sat for 22 minutes without any service and weren’t given the right menus.
The table was also very cramped and we had a waiter stood next to our table once our food was served basically watching us eat - which was very uncomfortable.
The food though was delicious; but such a shame that the table and service was so poor which makes me not want to return; despite previously having great experiences here.
Had to wait 20 mins for the table we booked and the lady managing booking was very rude about it.
Waitress was lovely though
Average. Not as good as I expected
Fantastic venue, service was excellent as was the food
service was below average and too noisy for a business meeting
The staff couldn’t cope with how busy it was and the tables are too close together
It is always a pleasure to eat at Balthazar! The lobster spaghetti is a must have experience...
We were after theatre and Balthazar is always a reliable option... food was good , service polite and efficient so no complaints.. the wine list is fine if a little pricey but the house Corbiers surprisingly good!
It’s always an amazing experience to eat at Balthazar.
My duck confit was delicious.
I enjoyed it very much. All was well up to standard.
It was very, very nice.
We had been only the previous week and this time they served us the onion soup (which were were so looking forward to) as it came it was a 1/2 size portion in a totally different bowl, it was very disappointing and we had to ask what was going on which made us feel very awkward
Fantastic so busy but service and food excellent
Had prix fixe menu. Excellent and good value
Will come again
Tourist trap. Enough said. You make an effort to go to a nice restaurant and end up in a train station bistro.
Made advance booking with OpenTable for a special occasion. Wasn't seated where I originally intended, but was shown to what the host acknowledged as the best table - thank you. As repeat clients, the service did not disappoint. Even an unfortunate spill of the tray carrying all of our entrees didn't slow the Balthazar staff down. Other guests were re-seated and the area was made tidy in under 2 min. Freshly made entrees reappeared for us in just 10 min, not missing a beat. This outing brought the discovery of Balthazar's hidden gem of a Sommelier. The magic of our evening was magnified by his intellect, charisma and vast knowledge. Of course, we will return many times more.
Staff went above and beyond to look after us when I was struggling with two toddlers. One very kind waitress even volunteered to entertain our children while we finished our food.
Good service and food, but the table was a little bit small for a party of 4
Were there for breakfast. Food was ok, but not more. Service a bit lacklustre. Has become a tourist trap. Too expensive for what it is
It is a busy restaurant with a good buzz/ambience. The food was very good and the sort of price you would expect to pay in Central London. The staff were friendly and service was moderately efficient. We waited a while for menus and then a while to order. Great decor and on the who.e a good experience
Really enjoyed it. Particular compliments to waiter Charlie. Great style and warmth. Thank you.
