The food was ok. I think the New York one is better. My main course took 45 mins to appear. Maybe the kitchen misplaced my order?
Convenient close to theaters.
I love the traditional brasserie style restaurant, so the ambiance is perfect for me. As always at Balthazar, the service was very good and the food was up to their usual high standards.
Great atmosphere at this place , good choice on the menu , our waitress was really nice and helpful. The service was really good and the food delicious. It was very busy and very noisy which made a good atmosphere. Will definitely go back, right in the heart of covent garden a great location.
The waiter who served us was brilliant . My latte arrived like warm n he was very sweet n changed it for a hot cup.
Buona atmosfera e altrettanto il cibo
Attentive, efficient service. Great food (steak frites)
Excellent food! Definitely, one of the best onion soup in London! It is noisy inside- but you don't really mind with such good food :)
Perfect evening, food and staff were excellent, ambience was Parisian, we enjoyed the whole experience.
Lovely pre-theatre supper. Always good and this time even more impressed by the really friendly service!
Excellent Service - great location and atmosphere and a very nice breakfast - what more could you want!
Great food and service and they gave me a free glass of sparking wine as I was dining alone a nice gesture I felt
Very good fish pie I recommend it Overall all inclusive bill for a three course meal £42 I am a very happy tourist
This is my second visit to Balthazar and again was very happy with my meal and super impressed with the speedy service before the theatre. Food is really tasty and beautifully presented. Plus all staff are very helpful. Would defo recommend for any occasion if a little pricy.
Outstanding service from staff who always go above and beyond!
Good meal, table next to us quite messy!
Staff attentive but not particularly friendly. Efficient and food was ok but not top standard so the prices were high for the quality delivered
Could not have been better . Wonderful staff, our waiter was terrific, attentive and personable whilst remaining professional. The food ? Wow !
Spectacular. Can’t wait to go back.
Hugely expensive for a restaurant that is noisy and busy. Ok for Children if one wants to spend a fortune on them!
Food was good but far too expensive for a reasonably good venue.
It was nothing special which was disappointing from this restaurant which I have enjoyed so much in New York
Good food and service. Awful ambience. Loud, rude, like a football statium during a penalty
The best eggs benedict in london ! Service was great
Lovely atmosphere and food was amazing. Staff very friendly and attentive
Really great service but let down by a pricey wine list.
Lovely experience! Great service and atmospere. Ideal when going to the theatre or the Royal Ballet. Perfect location.
Having already eaten at the New York restaurant it was great to see the venue was the same. You cannot fault this restaurant either such a little gem will definitely go again and recommend it to friends, great food brilliant service. Thank you
Disappointing all round.
Balthazar ticks all the right boxes. A classy
brasserie. Bread is always excellent together with a large menu.
good service makes for an enjoyable dining
Lovely place for brunch. Lovely ambiance and great brunch menu!
Food was delicious and service was great.
Would recommend and would definitely return to maybe try the lunch or evening menu!
Nice setting and good food. Some service issues let it down unfortunately
I booked the Flowerbox afternoon tea at Balthazar for myself and my boyfriend who has a very sweet tooth. I thought the flower cakes were absolutely stunning and the flavours were delicious - I was thoroughly impressed. The afternoon tea itself was substantial and we were both full to bursting afterwards!
Incredibly attentive waiters; crowd-pleasing unadventurous menu but Dover Sole perfectly cooked. Balthazar is A Scene so everything depends on where you're seated as the noise is utterly deafening; possibly with regard to my age (70s) maitre d considerately found table in farthest corner from the shattering din. That aside, a happy place as a mega-brasserie should be, full of zesty action and within menu limits, excellent food. Bread, as you'd expect, terrific.
Dinner after the opera...hungry... at first, wonderful service, kind, efficient, competent... change of waitress...then bad service, impolite, not kind. Decent food, wonderful atmosphere, sort of fair price for an expensive London. Recommended with the right waitress.
High tea was reasonably priced, and an overall wonderful experience. Food, service, ambiance all top notch!
Never lets you down. Great atmosphere, great service.
I juts love this place, the service is great friendly and fast. The food is really tasty and they are many different options to choose from. The place is always buzzing with life and its a perfect spot to catch up for a business lunch or lunch with a friend.
Style over substance - the cakes looked great but half of it was decorations you couldn’t eat. The tea was very week too and just is tea bags
Beautiful restaurant with well-polished service. Felt quite rushed though, and dining companion felt that dishes had a ‘fast food’ feel- perfectly decent food but lacking wow factor. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Food was excellent, everything was delicious. The birthday petit fours were a very nice touch.
It’s a bit cramped, our table of two was very close to two other tables which is a bit annoying in an expensive restaurant.
Service good, although my husbands starter order was misheard (although he didn’t complain) but the food was so good the small annoyances could be overlooked. Probably better with a larger party
Great atmosphere. Prompt attentive service. Delicious food. Only downside - tables for 2 a little cramped.
