Great ambience, authentic tasting food, service was good too. The only criticism was the small number of Baltic or Eastern European wines on the menu (none by the glass, few by the bottle). Overall happy to recommend!
Great selection of vodkas and cocktails. Food was excellent and the staff were attentive and helpful.
What a gem. Baltic has a lot of style, which I can find off-putting because it might suggest a lack of substance - not in this case. The food has been consistently good on our several visits (it may even be improving), and it works all the way down the menu. On this occasion, we were next to a celebratory table and asked to move to a quieter one: the staff were swift to help, and gracious with it. One of those places that makes you glad you live in London.
We were introduced to Baltic when our son lived in London, it was his favourite restaurant. We enjoyed our first experience so much that we’ve brought our friends to sample the brilliant food and service that we received. Needless to say they were blown away by everything that is Baltic, what a fantastic evening
Amazing food and great selection of vodkas
Fantastic place to eat and drink. Very swift and friendly service. Amazing and well priced drinks. Highly recommend!
Lunch is a joy here .. attentive staff interesting food and excellent value.
An early Saturday evening dinner: our booking asked for a quiet spot owing to the hearing impairment of my companion. The table we were given was perfect. The service the entire time from bar, to seating to waiting, was professional and efficient. We had chosen this restaurant because we like the food they serve and that evening we were very pleased again to find that their high standards have been maintained. I cannot think of anywhere better for the range of eastern European food in London.
Very good set lunch and friendly staff - as always here
Very nice place with good service, food and live music. Thanks.
Very, very disappointing. I’m a fan of Ognisko, so thought it'd be nice to try Baltic. I can't believe the two places are connected. The rösti was so overcooked it was a solid black disc, the black sausage was a soggy mass and there were no onions despite the menu stating there would be. The red cabbage was completely dry. The waitor forgot one of my friend's vegetable side dishes. When she finally mentioned it to them about 10 mins after receiving her other food, there was no apology and we were charged for it as though nothing had happened. Twice, all our plates were cleared without being asked whether we had finished (we hadn't) and then my saucer was removed while I was drinking tea. One of the worst meals I have ever eaten; will not be recommending or returning.
Delicious food. Since we discovered the Baltic 2 years ago, we always try to fit in a meal there if we are in London.
Great Bar & Restaurant, seem to have a good management team here,
The food was great
service was great
very nice venue
4/5 stars overall
Lovely setting with high ceilings, and we liked being seated in an alcove. We both had duck legs, which were very tasty but would have benefited from being a little more moist, whilst the accompanying chive mash and red cabbage were very good. Our desserts - panacotta with raspberry - were excellent.
Amazing service and wonderful food in a lovely setting. We greatly appreciated their attention to our child's nut allergy.
AMAZING SERVICE! The food and whole ambiance was fantastic!
A warm welcome when we arrived from friendly and attentive staff with good service throughout. Food was delicious - fresh, well prepared and beautifully seasoned.
I would recommend Baltic to a friend because the food and service was really good. But some enhancement needs to be done with the air conditioning. On that evening it was freezing in the restaurant, especially for those who were sitting in direct exposure of the cold air.
Great food atmosphere and service. Can’t wait to go again.
We had a number of small dishes which were all very good. Particularly enjoyed the Kopytka Dumplings with Chestnut, Spinach and Mushrooms and Kaszanka.
The service was excellent.
This was my second time at the Baltic after a few years and it did not disappoint. The service was still impeccable, very friendly and happy staff. Amazing food (big portions) and great value! Recommend it 100%.
Great food, excellent choice of vodkas!
Polish cuisine at its everyday best with old favourites and some innovations. The service was friendly and efficient and not intrusive. Lunch time was not over busy and we spent a very convivial three hours as a mixed group including one child. Our third time and we will return.
Great location, brilliant food, lovely ambience.
We always book this restaurant before we go to The Old Vic and come back for a drink once we have been to The Old Vic! The food is always good although do find portions slightly on the large side - but I am sure for a lot of people that wouldn't be a problem! The staff are always welcoming and friendly. It has a nice ambiance. Never seems to be too noisy - beautiful bright room. It makes a lovely change from the usual European restaurants. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and, in fact, people to whom we have introduced this restaurant, I know have come back to visit themselves.
Great place... Food, wine and service... all great. been there many times over the years and hope to continue to do so
We met some friends for lunch at The. Baltic for a different range of menu choices. The food includes dumplings, blinis (very good) and even a bread and dripping option to start.the bread basket had a good selection of breads although more butter was needed than provided on the table. The staff were helpful when asked about ingredients and side dish recommendations. The duck leg and lamb shashlik were good main choices with additional vegetables and a delicious chive mash. The choucroute was too spicy for our diner. A reasonable wine selection with a host of vodkas available too. Not cheap, but a different experience from the norm to tempt your tastebuds.
Very helpful friendly staff. Wonderful dumplings and vodka. Looking forward to a return visit
Great service. Rustic, well prepared and tasty food. Will come back.
Very nice restaurant , food was fantastic , very good quality .it is a bit pricey but worth it . Staff was very welcoming and carrying. I will definitely be coming back!
Good to try something different. Excellent and attentive service. Tasty food. Good value pre-theatre menu
I come to Baltic every time I am in London. The food is authentically eastern European and interesting. Plus the architecture of the room makes it all the more special. Highly recommended!
Great service throughout and printing special menus for the group was a really nice touch
Excellent pre-theatre menu at competitive price. Good options for non-meat eaters and delicious bread. Really friendly service too. Will definitely come back.
Baltic never disappoints, particularly good for pre and post theatre dining on the south bank
Baltic is one of my favourite restaurants in London. Delicious, well presented food, wonder wines, amazing cocktails and really lovely staff. Baltic is where I take friends, colleagues and customer for a special meal and everyone loves it too. Thanks
This was the first time I had eaten in a Polish/Baltic restaurant and so was not familiar with the food. The waiter was extremely helpful and answered my many questions in a helpful and informed manner. We went on Sunday at 2pm and the restaurant was very quiet. We were in a family group of four and had an enjoyable time. There is a delightful looking bar at the front and a really extensive vodka menu. The sorbet with vodka was brilliant.
The aircon felt a bit chilly.
Took a bit of a punt with Baltic but, most certainly, it did not disappoint. Great food with a very different menu specialising in dishes from Eastern Europe. Plenty of dumplings and pickles! An extensive drinks menu with some very interesting sounding Baltic cocktails and, as you might expect, a staggering selection of vodkas.
Very quiet when we visited, perhaps due to the annual Lambeth County Show, but, nonetheless, the service was extremely good. Friendly, helpful, informative and, of course, with plenty of vodka recommendations. Housed in a beautiful old building that, I'm guessing, has been sympathetically redesigned our Baltic experience was extremely good. Great value for money and with the very different food and drinks we would thoroughly recommend. Definitely one to revisit.
We were a party of eight celebrating a birthday and everything from the cocktails and food to the staff and service was excellent from start to finish. We have been here many times and always had a great experience.
Great place. Lovely staff. Fab food. Beautiful building.
