The food was delicious. And our server was excellent very knowledgeable and friendly.
food was fine, but definitely not worth the premium price.
Some of the food was way too salty. Our waiter was unwilling to lower the music volume, and said he couldn’t. However the hostess said, “Sure!”
We special ordered off the menu and they fully and happily accommodated our request
Our most favorite restaurant on the planet, there simply is no better place I'd rather go for a meal.
Filet cooked to perfection, not just once, twice or five times, every single time.
We have been going to Bambara since it opened. Our food Saturday night was subpar!!! Our 2 steaks came out cold, Cod was almost raw in the middle...very disappointing. Our server was wonderful, but dont think we will go back
We arrived to find the restaurant closed. Even after being asked to confirm the reservation 24 hours before hand. Had no email, or call to say there were going to be closed.
Struggled to find another restaurant before our show and made a major dent in our night. I won’t be going here again, a shame as I had heard to good was good.
Good food, creative. Good for special occasions.
Even though we were one of the first to be seated it took 90 minutes for our food to be served. During our wait our waiter did not keep us up to date on the reason or status of our meal.
Our meals were cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. Try the ice cream sandwich - it’s delicious!
Delicious food. Beautiful ambience!
If you are looking for a cheap, good meal, this is NOT the place for you. Before our tip, it was $75 per person (and that's without alcoholic drinks!). But, if you are looking for great food, this is a good restaurant to visit. We started with the cheese plate and roasted broccoli appetisers. Then salads. Main course: two of us had the elk - excellent. One had the pheasant, another had the scallops - once again, all of us enjoyed our entrees. Since we had to rush off to the Symphony performance, we skipped dessert.
The service was excellent. The food was brought out in a timely manner. The reason we were rushed is because downtown was crowded with Comic Con and we had to park quite far away, and arrive 15 minutes late for our reservation.
We are definitely planning on dining at Bambara again!
Perfect location for business dinner! Waiter and food were great and noise level was low so accommodated conversation.
The server was excellent and the food exceeded my expectations.
Well taken care of. Food was great. Pretty noisy.
I recently visited Bambara for dinner where I had a poor experience. I ordered the filet mignon where it wasn't cooked properly even though I communicated medium well. They took it back to the chef to cook the steak properly where it was still under cooked. This is an expensive restaurant where they should know how to cook a filet mignon properly. Disappointing experience!
Outstanding service. We wanted whip cream on our ice cream and we were told that it’s not offered, our waiter said if we were not in a hurry, he’s make it himself. He did and it was awesome and certainly appreciated.
It was a special meal and a great experience!
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences of our life! The food was absolutely amazing. The service was the best I've experienced in years, and my guests were delighted.
Fine food and excellent service!
Enjoyed all -- but EXPENSIVE!
I'll go again, definitely, but not as often as Id like because I can't afford to!
The food was good. A little overpriced in my opinion. Service was pretty good. Wine was expensive with limited choices by the glass and small pours.
The food was outstanding and was priced appropriately for the quality and presentation. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in describing the meals and made excellent recommendations. Out of the multitude of restaurant choices (some more/some less expensive), I’m glad we made this our dinner choice.
Food was good, wait for food was wayyyyy too long. We got to our table at 7:15 and waited for over an hour to get our main course. We were not the only ones frustrated by the wait time to g we t food.
Elk dinner was excellent as was tuna and avocado salad. Bread was a little dry and drinks v. expensive. Good service.
Our server was great! Very helpful and remembered small details we had brought up from a previous dining experience at Bambara.
My steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chef prepared a delicious vegetarian entree for my wife. It was truly a great dining experience.
Service was awesome. The restaurant was quiet and food was served quickly. I had the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. The herbed fries were outstanding. My husband's steak was slightly overcooked, but it tasted great.
The food was good. Our server was not good, no follow up, seemed very distracted, robotic. The water service reached across plates to pour without warning which was very distracting.
First time here and we will be back. Excellent downtown eating. Great food and friendly service.
Good. Food was a little dry, like it was under a heat lamp for a bit. Everything else was okay.
The food was exceptional. So was the service. I highly recommend going to this place.
Overall the food was excellent, server seemed very rushed and wasn't overly attentive but was a good experience overall
Food was phenomenal. Waiter was attentive without being pushy.
Food is always, always great and last night was no exception. Our favorite 4+ star restaurant.
For my first time here, it was a treat. The server was fantastic, the ambience was serene and rustic fine dining, and had an incredible staff overall. The chef even made an off the cusp vegetarian dish for my vegetarian girlfriend to tend to her liking, and the dish they had prepared was delightfully vibrant and full of sophisticated flavors and prep styles. The scallops were divine and were paired well with light and buttery sides. The server recommended the best sauvignon blanc for this. And for dessert, the most delectable tiramisu that will have you dreaming about it later. 10/10, will be returning again.
Food was delicious! We waited for over an hour and had to ask our server when we could expect it. Music was loud and not a good genre for the mood of the restaurant. Our waiter was great and there was always water being poured.
Good ambiance and Brenden was excellent. Food was good, choices were limited
The food was outstanding. I had the elk and my girlfriend had the salmon. Blue cheese potato chips were tasty, but the cheese could have been separated amongst the chips more evenly. Fuji apple salad seemed like a waste of money. It was very pretty to look at but the amount of food actually on the plate… not worth 15 dollars. The desserts were also fantastic. We ordered the crème brûlée and fancy ice cream sandwich. Both were great.
This restaurant is not a particularly good value. The menu selection was very limited, although the dishes we chose were, with one exception, both flavorful and tastefully prepared. For the market niche it appears to be targeting (expense account business travelers and upper 1%) it will deliver exactly what they are seeking. For the rest of the Salt Lake City population, not so much.
Small and fantastic menu. The service was professional and efficient and everything we ate was amazing. From my craft cocktail to the apple, walnut and endive salad to our two meals (filet and scallops), this restaurant exceed our every expectation! Can’t wait to go back.
We had a great time & Branden was an amazing waiter. This is one of my favorite restaurants in SLC.
