I HAD A LOVELY BIRTHDAY LUNCH. SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC. FOOD WAS AMAZING.
Great bar, great food, simple; best bar in Watford for casual drinks and food.
Had a fab sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Staff were great too and helpful.
Nice candle lit bar with friendly staff. We chose the board platter. Most dishes were very nice though the sweet potato wedges were very disappointing, under cooked and only five of them ! Fishcakes and prawns were excellent though !
I have dined at Bar Bodega several times. The food is usually always really great. However, I have to say this time my beef was quite fatty unfortunately. Still tasty, though. I would still definitely recommend Bar Bodega it is a lovely bar serving great wine and cocktails. They also do amazing burgers, but only on a Sunday can you get a big burger, please bring it back to every day!
Friday night visit. Friendly warm welcome, excellent service and food. Good location.
We wanted somewhere differnt to eat and im so pleased we picked Bar Bodega. It was our first time eating there and all the staff where fantastic. Great recommendations from the staff. Food was beautiful and tasty.
We stopped in here after reading reviews online. We weren't disappointed. The food was lovely, and the cocktails were divine. The margarita was one of the best we have ever had! My partner and I really enjoyed the speak easy setting and found it cosy and romantic for date night.
I had higher hopes for this place than I should have, I guess. The decor is cool, the noise level high, cocktails uninspired - I make a far more interesting Old Fashioned than the one they serve, and with the Speakeasy theme, I expected the menu to have a good selection of craft and vintage cocktails, which it did not. Color me disappointing.
Outstanding everything, can't beat a night at this lovely bar and the staff are all so welcoming and friendly.
Meal was amazing! They do a very good Sunday roast. Only let down was that the potatoes weren't proper roasties. The drinks were lovely and the staff were friendly and attentive. Won't be long before we're back!
Service was great but unfortunately my roast dinner was served without roast potatoes. When I pointed this out, I was given some potato's that had been rushed and didn't resemble roasties at all.
Love it here! Gorgeous surroundings, super attentive staff, great wine /beer list, delicious food. The best bar in Watford.
The staff were so helpful in making my birthday/engagement celebration amazing! Plus drinks are super yummy
Great service and food was amazing.
Restaurant not easy to find
Fantastic food and excellent service. Over 21s means not having to put up with screaming children as well!
Decent comfort food platters for groups. Went as a business team and had good food and delicious craft beers on draught
Excellent friendly service. We were a small but quite demanding group , nothing too much trouble. The outside area has a lovely relaxed atmosphere
I love Bar Bodgeas. The vibe is chilled, the service is good and its the only place to kick off a night in Watford. Drinks can be pricey though.
Great night at bar bodegas on Friday. Ended up staying all night after going in for dinner. Lovely get together with work colleagues. Excellent staff, very accommodating! We'll be back soon!
Extremely friendly staff, great food, comfy seating, and not too busy at thetime we were there.
Spent a lovely evening here celebrating my birthday. Very intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service. Great place for a few bottles of wine and sharing food :)
I have dined at Bodega a number of times, although not for a little while. The roast was even better than what I remembered it, I went for roast beef with all the trimmings, I also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which was also excellent, really tasty, it reminded me of the one my Grandma used to make. My Grandma was the very best at that dish. Unfortunately, my husband had a burger, which he requested to be cooked medium, but it was really well done, too well done so that he couldn't eat it all and they forgot his jalepeno chillies that he requested to put in the burger. However, Rachael the waitress that served us was very professional and understanding and arranged 2 large glasses of wine on the house for us, so we were happy :-) I would definitely recommend Bodega and can't wait to go back again really soon.
Burger platter is great. Shots and mixers are a bit pricey
Celebrated my birthday here on a Saturday night in the Snug area served by the lovely Blanca. All good and enjoyed to the max! Cheers Bodega
Very nice place with good tapas food, good wine, nice service and a very nice atmosphere (musique, light, people).
Sunday lunch is great. good portion and very good quality. The chicken cooked perfectly. The service was good and they have at least one non alcoholic beer which also tasted like beer!
Although the food was nice I did not enjoy the set up. We walked past the venue several times and in the end had to ask as there is no signage anywhere! The area is very cramped and I got knocked quite a lot whilst trying to eat my food. It was very dark and we could hardly read the menu by candle light. The music was also quite loud so we could not really hold a conversation without having to shout above the noise.
Again the food was nice and good value for money ot was just the atmosphere and surroundings that let it down.
Had Sunday lunch last week in Bar Bodega with family
Lovely atmosphere and unusual décor
Service was excellent
Food plentiful and very good
The great plus was that with every two main meals we received a free bottle of wine which was rather good
Planning to return soon with friends and really looking forward to it
Laid back evening cocktails or dressed up before you find somewhere to dance you can't go far wrong with Bodega. This almost 'secret bar' (you can easily walk past the entrance without knowing) opens up into a candle lit and comfortable cocktail lounge with a party atmosphere :)
Great vibe and lovely ambience. Very good service and drinks top quality but boy, do they come at a price. Round of 5 came to over £28 but I suppose we were only there for a couple before a show at the colosseum. Would definitely go again and for very special occasions.
The food is delicious and plentiful, there is a great selection of drinks, the staff are super welcoming and the atmosphere is really different
But good things in life don't come cheap and this place is special. Candle lit and soft music to boot. Beers were nicely chilled and food delicious!! Thank you Bodega, we'll be back in a jiffy!!
We had Sunday dinner here in a cold November afternoon, it was perfect. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and cosy thanks to the tasteful decor, helpful and welcoming staff and tasty food. Thanks.
Fantastic food with wonderful staff. The service was perfectly pitched and staff amazingly attentive. Sunday Roast perfectly cooked and good sized portions.
Really wonderful experience.
Excellent night (Saturday), food, wine and staff all excellent. Only negative was the music. Had to shout at each other over a small table to be heard, music far to loud and not in keeping with such a relatively small venue.
Ideal for pre theatre supper, food good and quick. Charming and courteous staff.
I have been to Bar Bodega several times and have tried their roast, tapas and their burgers. Their food never ever disappoints. Everything is home made and fresh. It was the first time that my mum and brother have been there and they also thought it was really great and loved the beauftiful homemade burgers served with fabulous chunky chips. We were a little disappointed to hear from the waiter that they are about to change their menu and you won't be able to get a big burger any more, only the small sliders which is a shame. Keep the lovely big burgers :-) The atmosphere is always great in Bar Bodega, very chilled. The only thing is, the drinks are quite expensive, the cheapest bottle of wine is £17 which is quite a lot for a bar, however the wine is very good quality. I would recommend this place for some really great food and wine.
Went here for dinner before a show at the Watford Colosseum which is a few minutes away. Had a bottle of wine, two burgers, chips, sides and bill came to £30. Very reasonable, good portions and excellent food. Nice, dark place, lots of candles. Will return.
We went to try the Sunday roast and it was delicious. For £12 you get a proper dish with 4 slices of meat, sides, and a glass of wine. I recommend try it at least one time, I'm sure that you will repeat like us.
