We had an excellent dinner with first class service. We will definitely return again.
The cooking is very accomplished, particularly the desserts, and nothing served was less than very good. The service was attentive, but unobtrusive, and there was no attempt to push extras. The wine was very good at a sensible price. On a previous occasion the Montrachet was excellent. This Bar is a good replacement for Pierre Koffman's at the Berkeley ( now closed) , and that is high praise.
Had a wonderful meal here, but the highlight was our time at the bar and the excellent cocktails!
Excellent service- efficient, informative and right on!
very relaxing, with caring lovely professional staff
Good food although the onion soup could have been hotter
Love the place, love the food specially the goat cheese
After our main courses service to our table stopped altogether even though the restaurant was half empty. No one came to offer the dessert menu nor the tea and coffee. We asked for them several times. Once we had ordered desserts after asking to see the menu, (all cold desserts) we waited 30 minutes for them until we asked where they were and we had to ask twice for our bill. Our lunch took 2 and a half hours because of this. This has happened once before and we shall not be returning.
Great simple food . Fantastic service as always. Great wine list
Bar Boulud normally gets it all right - service and food . This time - there seemed to be a lot of new faces in the team and the majority lacked the ready smile and friendliness that we normally find there - but if a disappointment .
Wonderful atmosphere and ambience, amazing food!
Excellent as usual. great set lunch menu.
good quantities of food. superb desserts.
The 2 course set lunch at £20 is a bargain
Really amazing just a bit disappointed for about the soufflé the rest impeccable
Not enough vegan/ vegetarian starters and sharing plates
Very enjoyable experience, impeccable service.
The pasta was very good which, being said by an italian housewife, is a compliment to be taken very seriously.
Lovely food. Friendly and attentive service. Great Atmosphere.
Beautiful ambiance and always fantastic food! 😋👌
A sophisticated yet not overly formal atmosphere. Food was uncomplicated yet impressive it the taste delivered. Pre Royal Albert Hall dinner. We were a little late arriving due to traffic. Phoned ahead and they were accommodating. Could've been asked time scale as ended up a little rushed to organise desert and bill. Service was efficient when desert/ coffee. bill requested at same time. Lovely flavours and a fine setting for a treat. Good value on the set menu. Not overly pricey on the al a carte for a real treat...Worth paying a bit more for a good wine.
A lovely afternoon spent with family. Fantastic food ,good service
Members of the staff are always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Food is generally fairly good except that the recent skirt steak is slightly tough. Dessert menu is always the highlight, with a combination of classic and creative selections.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Shared two starters/bar nibbles - Pinchos and gougere, delicious. One BB burger - never fails and one alternative burger - delicious. Red carafe wine very pleasant. Waiting staff were excellent. Only disappointment was being charged £4.00 for - what appeared to be tap water, ie bottle not taken to table and opened. We will continue to support and recommend Boulud.
Lovely venue, great food and great service. But above all, fantastic wine!
The food is very average, a set menu should at least try to demonstrate what the kitchen can achieve. The interior now looks very dated and the staff are all a bit awkward for a place that is a brasserie. The offer with wine makes the overall price just ok.
Nothing special, food, service, decor, all very average, lacks atmosphere, trying to be something it’s not, it’s not a formal venue, or menu but service is stiff as if it’s Michelin star restaurant, staff need to be attentive but a little less staid.
Superb ! I love this place , great menu , staff and ambience . Great value for the quality , it’s not that cheap but is definitely worth it ! Love coming here and is always my go to place for most occasions.
Please don’t change !!
Nourriture très bonne et service très agreable.
Les serveurs parlent presque tous français et sont très disponibles pour nous guider et expliquer la carte.
Definitely the best service and food in London.
Superb food, with superior service. An excellent choice
After a successful customer presentation, our team decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal. This place was the PERFECT spot to do that. The service was amazing, the drinks were fantastic, and the food was phenomenal. The White Cosmo cocktail was great with a round ice ball with an elderberry flower inside. The service really made the night though. They were simply great.
My wife and I had a most enjoyable set lunch,my onion soup was especially good.
Over all we had a most pleasing experience
Lovely lovely lovely Sunday evening treat!
Perfection when it comes to house made terrines and pates. Fantastic service, manager lady was reading our minds spontaneously and delivered with genuine care.
We shall be back. Very soon.
Excellent food and service, great atmosphere and friendly team
We immediately liked the atmosphere in Bar Boulud, with it's separate rooms and open kitchen. The food we had was perfect: stretching from homemade charcuterie to hamburgers and authentic Savoye cuisine, macarons and raspberry soufflé. In every dish they put the effort to really make the best out of it and it shows. As said: you can have a simple hamburger or a complicated dish, your choice.
This, combined with good service and good wine, made our diner ar Bar Boulud a treat.
Came for lunch, occasion was partner's birthday. Service was brilliant, good ambience and the food was excellent. My partner remarked the mussels were the best she has had, all open plump and lovely sauce. I had the chicken with blueberries/chard which was also extremely tasty. Would definitely return
We took advantage of the Opentable offer of a prix fixe menu + wine: exceptional value for food and drink of this order in this quarter of London. The staff were universally charming. Let me just mention the raclette - generously served, with succulent cold cuts, and perfect for this chilly spring.
A wonderful venue, ambiance and attentiveness of the staff was spot on. Varied menu with the option to pick and mix from different dining options. Knowledgeable sommelier and excellent wines to choose from.
Excellent food, honest price ,large wine list and honest value.
Bar Baloud offers relaxed and informal dining in the middle of Knightsbridge. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The only negative is that because of the decor, it can be very noisy.
Outstanding staff and service from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Attentive without any pressure. Superb!
The fixed price lunch at £20for 2 courses plus tea/coffee is an absolute bargain.
The Bar Boulud is downstairs off the main road at the Mandarin Oriental not inside the actual hotel ( unless you want the full "Heston" experience!). If you are visiting Harrods or Harvey Nicks, this is the place for lunch.
