Barracuda Seafood Bar & Grill
An infusion of beans and faith, music and yucca, fish and passion, folklore and popular tales, settlers, colonizers, invaders, immigrants and slaves are all essentials ingredients when it comes to preparing a genuine Brazilian meal, but always with a generous relish of religion. Sounds, tastes, scents, scenery and spices are all distinct ingredients of a delicious recipe called Brazil.
No other dish is a better representation about our food than the Moqueca; a fish stew made with dende oil, coconut milk, dedo de moca pepper, lime, cilantro, tomatoes and most essential, love. The dish is served on a 400 years recipe clay pot that comes sizzling to the table.
Not a good experience. The room is too small to have a singer/guitarist on mic! Not a chance for conversation!
While the food was good, the wait of an hour from ordering to being served is unacceptable! Everyone pleasant & apologetic but that still doesn’t make it ok!
This place is a Hidden Gem, great service and excellent food. It is one of our favorite places to eat. Go to Groupon and save some money, make sure you make a reservation and park in the parking garage as the lot is usually filled up.
Like other reviews and especially on a holiday like Valentine's Day, took forever to get the food, but servers were nice and the food was delicious... I would recommend the place but he sure to budget a couple hours for dinner...
Great time. Good live music. Food very good
We are away on vacation and happy to eat outside on a quiet patio on the Main Street. Food was really good and a little different from a typical vacation dimmer. It was a nice change of pace!
Love this place
Definitely coming back
Really excellent food. Had the fish stew and empanadas
Love the whole fried snapper! It never disappoints!
Amazing food and amazing service. Can’t wait to go back.
Great hidden Restaursnt. Terrific food with a Brazilian twist. People are lovely. Live music with a great singer. Can’t wait to go back
A great Friday’s night, with a good music
First time visit to this place- Interesting menu. Even though I’m not a fan of a lot of seafood- especially fish and shrimp, I was still able to find items on the menu that were very good. The rest of my party really enjoyed their steak dinners. Great and friendly service.
The music was lively and upbeat. The drinks were pure sugar and the food was very salty. Will not return. Not worth it at all. Too expensive for what you get or rather what you don’t get. Bad customer service too.
Food was great, service was great, but the music was soooooo loud, we couldn’t talk to our friends. We left just so we could talk
This is not my first time to Barracuda usually I have a good experience. The food is delicious the service is okay they really take their time so if you are in the hurry that’s not the place for you. This time that we went I had a reservation for 7 people when I got there they were no tables available , apparently they didn’t check their online reservation for that night. So now honestly I don’t even know if I would go back . I’m sorry customer service is number 1 and last night was 0.
had heard good things so decided to try Barracuda. What a disappointment. We had the Crab Brulee & Butterflied Shrimp as appetizers. Crab Brulee was good, Butterflied Shrimp was just fried shrimp w/ a marinara sauce nothing at all special. For entrees I had Mussels Fra Diavola, half of the mussels werent even opened meaning they were bad and the rest were overcooked. Friend has the Med Shrimp & Pasta and it was like something you could get at olive garden. Food was incredibly disappointing. First and last time I dine there.
Delicious dishes, attentive servers, and no rush to get you out!
Excellent food and drinks very good priced. The service is excellent and the ambient is one of the best in area
Asked for a table of 8, and when we arrived, the only seating available was outside. Although it worked out very well (nice breeze), I would have preferred to know that in advance....
Notwithstanding the surprise seating, I had no issues or problems. The quality of the food is amazing, with phenomenal flavors and treatments. 3 of the party are Brazilian, and they raved about the preparation and tastes.
With phenomenal food, great music, and a lively atmosphere - I unhesitatingly recommend.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was good but uneven (pasta/scallop nicely done, potstickers cloyingly sweet, burger overcooked as was a simple piece of fish). Beer and wine only.
Friendly and welcoming service, good Brazilian food, relaxed atmosphere.
Definitely best Brazilian restaurant in the area of Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton and Pompano Beach, delicious food!!!
One of my new favorites on the S-curve. Lot's of fun for all. Food was outstanding and great value for the money. I will definitely be a repeat customer. We went on a Saturday evening and there was a duo playing music. Not too loud that you still couldn't talk and dancing was encouraged. Was a great evening all around.
I just wish that the meet was a little better. It was good but I expected more from the Brazilian restaurant. The service was excellent, the people were so nice but the food was just good.
Baracuda is a little off the main path but certainly worth finding. Food and drinks were excellent. Service was also. Seafood was fresh and we being a party of 7, there were no complaints, only raves.
This is a Brazilian restaurant. The spices used or combination of them were something we had never had. It was fabulous. Highly recommend.
Although we had reservations we were shown to a high-top bar table pressed against the wall and had to wait for a table to open up. We waited nearly an hour for our dinner to be served. We had to return one dish as the food was swimming in oil.
The other dishes were very tasty.
I found this restaurant through a Groupon. I would just like to share that the 18% gratuity was added on to the check supposively because I used a Groupon. This has never been my experience through using a Groupon, so be careful to check your bill before paying. Using my Credit Card, the tip section was left open even though the tip was already included with the total. My dining companion and I are restaurant industry people for 30 plus yrs., so in all fairness I must say that the tip maneuver took away from the experience of some pretty tasty food. We chose the mussels for an appetizer , which had the most delicious fra Diavolo sauce ever, however they were slightly gritty. We saved the remaining Diavolo sauce and added it our entrees. We both had the Shrimp with Capers, Kalamata olives & fresh tomato prepared in a garlic butter sauce. Delicious, especially with the fra diavolo sauce added.
Glasses of wine were reasonable. Ambience , not really. I did however notice that they have some music and salsa dancing. They did not on the Wednesday night that we were there. Worth a go if you have the Groupon. Otherwise, dinner in this vacation spot will run you about $100 with wine and tip.
Our server,JB was excellent. Very informative and kind. The food was delicious and presented beautifully, just like the pictures on the website and menu. My only criticisms are lack of parking, although there is a public garage across the street and they need a few more non-seafood items for the friends or companions who don't want seafood options. Otherwise, our overall experience was excellent.
The first time we went to Barracuda Seafood Bar & Grill was five years ago for my birthday. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere is still AWESOME!!!
Was my fist date.
We enjoy the music and the place was very nice
We were very disappointed in the food this time. We hadn't been to Barracuda in quite some time and the food has changed. It appears as though they might have a new chef and he seems to have an obsession with salt. Our mussels and clams appetizer was not enjoyable, and the Ana Maria entrees, which we both had, were not only very salty, but they changed the sauce to a globby, heavy sauce rather than the light, creamy sauce they always had before. If the chef that was there on Saturday night (1/19/19) is their permanent chef, we will not be going back.
My experience in Barracuda was not as expected! The food was not Great.. Good would be a stretch! The Ambiance was mediocre.. I believe the price was the worse of all! For not so great taste and ambiance their prices were like I ate at a high end restaurant.. I would not recommend this place. I believe there are much better places to experience!
Pay attention to the bill when you get it. It already includes 18 percent built in service charge and then they bring another bill and have a tip line again. Don t get fooled. The tip is already worked into the bill you get originally
I took my family for dinner at Baracuda for the first time. Each of us ordered something different so that we can try the menu. All of the items that we ordered were delicious. One of the items (Fried Calamari) was overcooked and extremely salty. I would still recommend this restaurant.
Unique menu. Outstanding quality of food. The portions were very large. Two persons can share an appetizer and a main course.
Save room for dessert.
Delicious meal in a surprising corner, about 3 blocks from the pier of Deerfield Beach.
Very good food, really good value. A small restaurant with live music. A fun, hip place to dine.
Great food and nice music. Thanks
