Lobster Potatoes, Asparagus, Romesco
Lemon Risotto, Mango-Pineapple-Passion Salsa, Petit Greens
Outstanding! Great Food, Great Music, Great NORMAL atmosphere! Really Fun.
Great service and atmosphere, had live music 🎶 that was relaxing and not too loud. Food was good, but nothing extraordinary compared to other places in the area, in the same price range. Would definitely return though.
The waiter had to many tables. We didn't order for 45 min. And we're at the restaurant for 2.5 hours, not by choice.
Mother’s Day special dinner menu was extremely overpriced.
Good food but very slow (1 hour) to receive food. 6p on Mother’s Day. Inside was full and they packed the parking lot with outdoor dining. At least double the business the kitchen was built to handle.
Nice place. Took my Mom for Mother’s Day.
I never write reviews on here but our Mother’s Day brunch was a bad experience. We were seated in a parking lot even though I’ve had reservations for over a month. My sons high chair was broken and we had to ask twice for it to be replaced. Our food took forever and wasn’t very good when we received it. The cost of the meal was high so you expect a certain ambiance, level of service and quality of food. We didn’t get any of the above. After speaking to the manager he did absolutely nothing to make it better. I also emailed the restaurant to let them know and haven’t received a response.
Fabulous night. Fabulous music!!
We had an awesome server and the food was good.
The only issue was it was very busy and the noise level was very high.
Always a Pleasure
We wanted the music
Hostess was really rude and didn't not have manners at all.
Excellent, as always!!!
Everything was great! David, our server, was so friendly and helpful. Food was hot and delicious!
We had a wonderful dinner outside in the tent area. Band was great and not intrusive . Food and service always great!!!
Absolutely amazing food, beautiful location and the live music was very nice!
The 4 of us selected the pre fixe entree - the steaks (filet and rib eye) were delicious - especially the rib eye - beautiful cuts of meats and cooked to perfection. It was a night of celebration with our friends as was our dinner. We sat in the dining room - could still hear the music...but also hear our conversations. Already booked to go back next week. The food is consistently excellent...as is the service. Mavie, our server, is a 10++
The restaurant serves excellent food, stylishly plated, in a pleasant venue. On Tuesday and Wednesday nights they have a very good duo singing oldies and standards for entertainment.
Food was excellent. I got the prie fixe menu and the mushroom crusted halibut was to die for. The tuna tartare could have been a meal on its own. I will definitely be going back when I have occasion to be in the area again.
The rack of Lambs with the Yukon potatoes were delicious!! Must try. Best good I’ve had in California and I’m a traveling nurse from Mississippi!!
I loved the music and our waiter was very nice. He seemed very rushed though. The food took a very very long time to come out (over an hour), but everything was delicious and cooked perfectly!
Main dining room is drab and 1970's vintage. No decor to speak of. Dark walls, dark floor, old curtains, (looking dirty). It is past due for an upgrade, especially to justify their prices.
The shrimp linguine was too spicy for my husband's taste and the pork chop was tough. Thank goodness I requested the sauce on the side because it had some kick to it too. The soup (cream of artichoke) was good and the cheesecake was very good. Bayside was just not our preference for dining except we thought we would give it a try during Restaurant Week.
Food and service don’t match high end ambiance and price.
Steaks over salted, thin, overcooked, smothered in white sauce bearnaise attempt; reminded me of outback or sizzler, perhaps Denny’s.
Risotto was lemony steamed rice, which was terrible; I know it’s not an Italian restaurant but it’s not a truckstoo Diner either
Ambiance great, live music vey nice
Hostess dressed formally, fitting the ambiance
Waitress very informally dressed (khakis?), which seemed out of place; rushed us out; didn’t offer dessert, or describe different prix fixe options: had us box our own leftovers, which is ok but didn’t match high end vibe ambiance suggests; we stacked our plates waiting for table to be bussed
Wine ordered was very nice; decent wine selection $50-$1000
Recommend going to one of the several high end steak houses in the area instead
Valet was nice
Always a great place to have an enjoyable meal!!
Great restaurant every time. We were hosting friends from St. Louis and we all enjoyed our evening very much! Our waiter was attentive and dedicated to our every need! A perfect event!
The food was very good and the service was outstanding. Our waiter was especially helpful and attentive. The noise level was quite high due to a large, energetic party at an adjacent table. My only concern was that the prices were quite high compared to previous visits and the bar menu is no longer available.
With large indoor and outdoor dining areas, there is a lot going on. The Jazz outside was great and at the request of one of my guests we ate inside. The food was top notch and the wine list had some very nice wines that paired well.
we have been to Bayside number of times and it has been great each time. The only complaint is that our last visit, service was very slow but we had a very nice waitress.
We scheduled a birthday dinner and came early to get a booth in the bar area near the piano player. It was perfect! The food was superb! I had the Filet and the guys had the pork chop. Outstanding all! Love the freshly made hot rolls and terrific service. Patty our waitress was wonderful! Nice, efficient, but didn’t hound us so we could chat and enjoy ourselves. Also the bussers really stayed on top of our table, with water and fresh new rolls and clearing plates. The drinks were fun too. We had great wine and a Manhattan and they made my virgin marguerita really festive and fun in a tall fancy glass, so it felt festive. Great night out and next time we’ll try the outside tent to take in the live jazz! 😄
All of our dishes were absolutely amazing !
The food was out of this world, I had the porkchop, the BEST I have ever had, noise level perfect, we were close to the band(a combo) , they were really good and not to loud, I would not change a thing and will be back for sure, service was great, just enough attention without bugging us
Wonderful service, and great selection for dinner...first visit... will return during our next visit to Newport
We sat inside but the tables are spread out and the staff is doing a much better job now of wearing masks. No fun but good that they do that. The ceilings are high too which is nice and they do have a covered patio. They had music playing which is so nice as it was our anniversary. The scallops are incredibly good and the ahi tuna tartare is a fave for starter.
We thought the food was so so, not as good as previous experiences
Lovely place for a nice romantic dinner. I always enjoy dining here w live music and pianist. Food is great. Service has always been outstanding except this specific night.
Music so loud you cannot hear
Everything about Bayside is great! Classic upscale professional restaurant.
We took our family for lunch Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were seated right away with our reservation and our servers continually made sure we had our drinks and anything that we would need. Everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere very free. There was also live music which added to the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Parent meeting for the first time. Great seat select. Food and drinks was great.
