Went post theatre for a birthday meal.
Looked after us well including a birthday dessert for the birthday girl.
Lovely atmosphere, always full of people. Food was great, very reasonable price, good for after work drinks, date and friends' reunion. Highly recommend!
Went on a recommendation, nice inside, good service but was disappointed with choice of South African options and food tasted a bit bland, but perhaps that was just the South African options.
Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming staff and the food is delicious
We had a 12 noon Christmas Eve lunch reservation. Unfortunately when we arrived the restaurant was closed. We never received any notification.
We booked after looking on Trip Adviser. We were disappointed with the food the sandwiches had strange filling and one was inedible. The scones were mini and hard. As we were in London for a Service at Westminster Abbey it was very disappointing.
Good meal, fish and chips for me, chicken SPCA’s are sald for friends, Staff. Dry helpful and welcoming. Am returning,
Went to bbar for a colleague’s birthday and it was lovely. Between the 3 of us we had the salt beef sandwich, fish and chips, and a veggie burger. We were all very happy with our choices.
We were a party of seven old work colleagues reuniting after several years. The service was excellent we werenot rushed at all and spent several hours in restaurant eating and drinking several bottles of wine and prosecco.
Ideal if you need a great restaurant near Victoria station.
We ate the burger, seabass, prawns with linguine and barbecue chicken all excellent as were the desserts.
A wonderful find. As a South African living in London some 24 years, it was a great fusion of the two cultures and the food was amazing.
Myself and my partner had lunch at the Bbar pre going to the theatre. An excellent venue, with very comfy seats, good food and outstanding service. Only complaint/observation would be that the wine is a tad on the expensive side for what it is. Probably just a country boys view on London prices!
BBar is a good place to have a business meeting. I booked this place for my Director.
Enjoyed a great lunch with girlfriends on a day out to London.Homemade soup was delicious! Chicken salad was very tasty, generous portions. Excellent service, one of our party was temporarily using a wheelchair, all staff very helpful and polite.Would thoroughly recommend.
Good cakes and savouries. Service was casual even though restaurant was quiet.
Great venue, amazing and attentive staff.
Great location, and descent food
Love the surroundings, food was competent and service was efficient
My 5th time here and again brilliant food, service and ambience. Booked for a company lunch and all the plates looked delicious. We also had the cocktails (strawberry daiquries) and wine.
The short rack ribs fell of the bone and presented beautifully, people ordered the fish and chips, chilli, BBQ salad and the Chicken Snitzel they all looked so good. Will definitely book again and again.
Not been here for a while but as good as ever! Nice atmosphere and super fish pie!!!
B Bar offers friendly, informative service and excellent food with a South African twist.
Whilst a little expensive for everyday dining, it is certainly to be recommended for quality of food and really helpful service.
We all ordered African Burgers.
The cocktails are very good quality and well presented.
The overall package. Very friendly efficient staff to delightful food. Excellent presentation.
Went here just before a tour of the palace. An excellent start to the afternoon. We were so very well looked after.
A friend and I went for a work lunch, it did not disappoint, staff and service was brilliant and what a lovely relaxing place to be, BBar felt quite airy too, the food was served spectacularly both of us chose the per peri chicken. Definitely worth a visit.
Pretty standard pub, standard food and decent service. Value for money was very good.
I went with a friend to Bbar for a catch up dinner. The staff were very helpful, allowing us to take our time ordering and allowing us to stay at the table without interruption for a long time after finishing eating. The food was good, drinks were nice too. The only downside is that it's a little over priced for the type of food, but not unexpected given the location.
Requested something not on the menu and were told the chef was happy to . Will definitely go again when visiting London,
I booked a table for three people from 3.15pm but due to a delayed train I phoned the restaurant to amend the booking time of arrival.
To my horror I was rudely informed that the restaurant had no knowledge of my booking, which they blamed on Open Table (which supposedly other customers had experienced), and another later table could not be found!
This is the second time I have made a booking through Open Table and despite confirmation emails the restaurant claimed to have no knowledge of my booking! I am unsure if the fault rests with the restaurant or Open Table but I am unlikely to use this website ever again!
Very cosy restaurant if you go at the back. You can have a nice conversation with friends and at the same time, through the big screen above the entrance, you can follow what's going on (especially during the Rugby world cup)!
Staff was very friendly and was keeping us updated about the score!
My friend and I received outstanding service from Bbar from 19:30-22:30, after which point we received appalling service. The food was delicious, the decor and ambience were great (although the rugby on the telly in the adjacent bar is not suitable for all occasions), and the waiting staff were really knowledgeable and helpful. But when we tried to order a night cap just after 22:30, we were abruptly told they were closing soon, without prior warning of last orders. We eventually negotiated a last drink, but when we weren't sure we'd received the correct drink and tried to flag the waiter down to check, he treated us like strangers (despite being very professional and friendly earlier in the evening) and tried to palm us off to his colleagues. The abrupt downturn in service quality was an extremely disappointing end to an otherwise outstanding evening.
Pre theatre menu and service were both very good. The food is well cooked and presented.
Had a great dinner here. Wonderful cocktails, wine and food. Will eat here again next time we're in London.
Food was tasty and presented well. Read a few reviews on here that said its not pricey but it's fairly pricey two burgers and two drinks totalled to £40+ also dessert menu was very limited, was excited to try something I saw on the trip advisor pics and it was not on the menu so was disappointed with that. All in all great vibe well presented restaurant and good food would recommend to a friend
Really nice place, friendly, fun and insightful staff.
Food was delicious and the drinks choice huge. The steak I had had definitely secured another visit.
Despite our booking we had to wait 25 minutes for our table.
We ordered drinks whilst we waited but the staff forgot, and had to be reminded.
Overall staff were friendly but chaotic.
Food was Ok, not great but overpriced. £16 for an average burger that you'd pay half that in GBK for similar.
Not one we'll be going back to.
Delicious food and excellent service from waiting staff. The food was a little slow to arrive but when we mentioned to the staff that we had limited time as we were going to a concert, that made sure things got moved along a bit faster.
Thanks again to the friendly staff for a pleasant evening in a great atmosphere. A little bit different from the usual with a great ambiance, good menu and choice of drinks.
Very warm welcome and nice busy feel to bbar. Bellinis and curry main course delicious and could not be faulted. However the desert of pavalova was just a pile of cream, when this highlighted to the waiter he just smiled and took the pile of cream away! So would recommend but just be careful with desert choices.
Enjoyed a pre theatre meal...3 courses for just £21. Veggie choice was limited but I'm used to that. Food was nice, service quick and great value. Would recommend.
I don't know why Victoria has so few restaurants that are worth a visit. But at least BBar stands out, with a fun design and very good service. I had a nice lunch there. The menu isn't huge, but it's interesting and different and the food was good.
good for a burgers and chips and cod and chips...however you will be waiting half your lunch for the food to come. This is the 3rd time ive been here and waited more than 30 minutes for my food. It was okay because i was with a group of friends and we were enjoying an extended lunch but the wait is a little siolly. i do really enjoy their burger and their cod so its good food when it comes just it gets tiresome waiting 30 minutes for a ceaser salad.
