Small but lovely restaurant, great staff, good menu choice at realistic prices.
we had booked a window table for my wife's birthday and when we arrived the window table
had a reserved sign on it so it was a very good start to the evening.the young lady ,who appeared to be in charge, seated us at the table and gave us ample time to choose our starter and main.my wife, for the first time, had the beef strogonoff as a main which she said was excellent.i had the tournados rossini which i asked for medium rare and it was cooked to perfection.we will continue to use bella venezia on a regular basis and we do not have any reservations in recommending it to friends !!
Excellent food - lovely fresh flavours and generous portions.
As usual enjoyed a fabulous meal in a very friendly and relaxed environment, I always look forward to going to this restaurant and never fails to meet expectations.
we had booked the restaurant for our wedding anniversary.i booked it on line and requested a window table.when we arrived at the restaurant there was not a window table available !!
the staff (zac and jenny)were very apologetic.however, the manager was conspicuous by his absence!
we were placed at a table which was not what we had requested, but was acceptable,as i did not want my wife upset on our wedding anniversary.
the food was excellent and,for the inconvenience,we were offerered an acceptable discount.
i cannot praise zac and jenny enough for their service and the way in which they handled the
situation regarding the lack of window table.
A lovely evening with fabulous food. A great atmosphere!
Food was good quality, it fux take a while to get served with drinks orders. Excellent night overall celebrating my daughters 21st.
Excellent little restaurant! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and great value for money, although the addition of a sorbet for dessert would be great. Wine is affordable. Could only be improved by dimming the lights a little to make it more romantic. Would also like a little more space between tables - but the restaurant is tiny and we were offered a more secluded table halfway through. Overall, a really pleasant experience. Thank you. Hope to return one day
Lovely, a little smaller than expected and some of the tables are very close together but ours was fine. There was a large group in which made it a bit noisy but nothing unbearable and the staff did apologise. The staff were lovely and so was the food, will definitely be going again
Good food and surroundings. Good wine selection. Slightly delayed in getting a table but not a problem
my wife and i had an excellent meal and bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday.
the only down side was, when i came to pay,the card machine was not working and i was forced to go across the road to lloyds bank atm machine to withdraw the cash in order to settle my bill.
Having booked with Open Table we arrived to find the restaurant closed despite a sign at the entrance stating opening hours included Sundays!!
We therefore did not dine here.
We arrived early after booking a table, my wife ordered a seafood pasta dish with linguini, it came with spaghetti and was awful
I ordered sea bass with a white wine and lemon sauce, it came with a spicy tomato sauce, I could not taste the fish it was awful.
For a Friday night the place was about 25% full, we soon found out why, I do not think the "chef" was a qualified chef.
We paid the bill and advised them of our disappointment, the waiter spoke to the "chef", no aplogy was offered or any attempt to resolve the situation
A lovely small cosy restaurant which they have opened up and made extra seating. Good service, good food, good atmosphere and a good evening to be had here.....................
The montepulciano was inferior, the room was cramped and noisy and the veal was inedible.
Traditional Italian with classic menu. Competently cooked but nothing outstanding. I would go again if nearby but would not make a special journey.
Excellent food and well presented. Service was very good. Will go back again.
As usual, did not disappoint.
The two course menu, with a glass of Prosecco each, for two is excellent value. The quality does not suffer because it is an offer.
A job well done by our lone waiter. There must have been 30+ covers and he did an amazing job on his own. Yes we had a wait a little for cleared tables but he worked that floor like a trgan. Food was outstanding. Everything came out hot and stayed warm through the meal. Good quality and brilliant service. Highly recommend and will revisit.
Food was excellent, no faults at all.
The staff were very friendly but appeared as if they didn't have experience dealing with more than a few tables (waiting and ordering twice seems to be normal seemed to be normal across the restaurant)
But overall, nice place and would go again.
A lovely meal and their beef dishes were outstanding. Excellent friendly staff and undoubtedly another visit is on the cards.
A quaint traditional Italian restaurant with great service and excellent food.
This was our second visit to Bella Venezia and although the food was lovely, the service was lacking. Little things disappointed, such as... not being made aware of the specials of the day, young waiters standing around leaning on chairs with their hands in their pockets, having to get my own coat from the rack and not holding the door open upon leaving. Some may think these petty, but for me, it is poor service. This probably explains why the restaurant was nearly empty on the Friday before Christmas?????
FANTASTIC MEAL,RECOMMEND THE SPECIALS! UNHURRIED DINING. HIDDEN GEM.
Visited before and as usual had a thoroughly good experience.
Very good food and service and not pressurised to leave the table.
Intend to visit again in the future.
Food really good menu good with plenty of specials very friendly though professional service nice traditional Italian
So called authentic Italian! Really. No bottles of Peroni, Calzone Pizzas were frozen in the middle and they were unable to make fresh ones as it would appear they did not have any pizza dough. It was First time we visited, and will definitely not be going back.
We had an early dinner here on a Sunday night and it was great. There were only 2 other people there at the time, but we were eating just after 5pm so that isn't much of a surprise. The food was fantastic, very authentic. The prices were very reasonable, and the service etc nice.
Fabulous portions, excellent food and great service. Small venue but cosy and enjoyable. Didn't felt rushed, and the quality and quantity of the portions is superb. Very welcoming. Shall certainly go back soon.
The restaurant cancelled my booking with no explanation or apology
Good meal as usual and good wine. reasonable prices
Had a nice for my partners birthday, staff first class, food excellent.
I really enjoyed the food, the staff so friendly, local to where I live which is good, I like it because it is a small restaurant reminds me of eating in Italy which I love,
Food was lovely and freshly prepared. Staff friendly and polite.
Very disappointing - I'd booked for lunch for my wife's birthday but when we turned up on the day the restaurant was closed! Just as well Bella Italia was open a short drive away!
Food was really good. Service was really slow. Not enough menus for the whole restaurant. No background music so just hear others talking which is uncomfortable in a small place. Pizza was great though.
A little taste of Italy found in this restaurant on the high street. Friendly, efficient staff and lovely food
A Very enjoyable evening good food very pleasant staff.
We often visit Bella Venezia because we are guaranteed a fantastic evening of delicious food, exceptional service and a fantastic atmosphere.
A perfect evening - dined here several times and have not been disappointed - great service, great food!
