We had an absolutely lovely evening and meal here. The service was excellent and the food delicious, i would strongly recommend.
A busy valentine's night, but we have eaten here a few times before.
The main issue is the service feels unorganized and is quite slow. We booked a table several days in advance and turned up at a rather late slot of 9pm. We were sat down at precisely 9pm but had to wait over half an hour before anyone took our order (from a set menu). Our drinks then took another 10-15mins to come. We were happy to wait on the food as we know the food here is great, and once our order was in and we started receiving things, everything arrived in good time. It is really the initial time frame from sitting down to ordering and receiving drinks which cause the customer to feel like they have been forgotten. If you could take their order within 5 minutes of arriving and just explain that there will be a wait because you are busy, at least the customer will feel like they have their order in the system and will be happy to wait with just the drinks.
Belated 10th Anniversary treat for our friends
Another great meal at this little gem of a restaurant in Wandsworth. The beef and dauphinois were cooked perfectly, wine an excellent match and the cheese trolley rounded of the meal excellently. I’ll definitely be back again.
I'm afraid it was bitterly disappointing. We arrived a couple of minutes after our 8pm booking. At 8:30 we were finally invited to order drinks. We said we'd like to order food too, but were told there were tables ahead of us and that we couldn't - which struck me as a rude way of phrasing it. Of the dozen or so occupied tables, only one had food and two had wine. I appreciate 8:00pm on Saturday is peak time, but a restaurant should have the staff to cover, or at least plonk some bread and water down if they couldn't take a drinks or food order. We wound up going next door. I've booked many restaurants through Opentable and have never left a review before as service and food is usually fine.
Another lovely meal at Bellevue. It never disappoints. Charming service, imaginative but authentically French food, carefully chosen wine list
Great food in a quirky place. Totally surprised about this one!
Great ambiance, excellent service (even though they said they were short on staff that evening, we certainly didn't notice it), fantastic food and good value. Have lived in the area for sometime but only just discovered Bellevue and will definitely return for a date night as we did before or with friends, and will be highly recommending to others.
A lovely little place with amazing food and service. We happened into a very quiet time, and had the place to ourselves. Everywhere you look are interesting things, and the service had a nice touch of French countryside to it. The staff bend over backwards to ensure allergen information is accurate, and service is lovely.
Good food. New Years Eve dinner. Expensive with the alcohol but definitely worth it. Very tasty and creative food.
First time visitor on Christmas Day. frankly, I was bored of cooking at Christmas and wanted to be pampered. Wish granted!
Staff were super friendly, and went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. The restaurant is intimate and non-pretentious. Fabulous wine list. Food was freshly cooked, innovative and tasty. We met the chef who was also lovely.
They catered to my sisters gluten free diet and provided a full vegan menu as tasty as the non-vegan.
For a 5 course meal at Christmas, the price was more than reasonable.
I didn’t expect too much as Christmas can be a time for receiving mediocre food at extortionate prices, but this experience has definitely launched a new tradition. Will definitely be back soon.
We’ve been regulars at Bellevue since it opened as Mini Mundus about 13 years ago, it’s one of our favourites in the area. The cooking has become more ambitious over the last couple of years and it’s now really accomplished. The service as ever is excellent. Highly recommended.
Although we were apprehensive when we first arrived as there were no other diners, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It’s well worth a visit.
great place with top chef. Inventive, creative. Always something new to try.
Can't believe the restaurant has been going 4 years and this is my first visit!!!!!!!
Can't recommend it more highly and can't wait to go again 💕
Amazing food and service. Just a tiny bit cold in restaurant
Fantastic food and fantastic service
As ever, lovely food, good wine, such nice service. It has to be one of the nicest all round experiences in the area.
The food was good without being outstanding. Very classic french but still with a a few touches of surprise. The place itself is relaxing and comfortable. Don’t look for excitement but find a pleasing and comforting experience.
We dined at Bellevue on Saturday night for our friendship anniversary. Even though it took ages to drive to the restaurant due to the fireworks, the journey was worth it. The food presentation is the success of each dish therefore making it so tempting to try all the dishes on the menu. We tried the special fish dish and it was very well executed.
This little gem is highly recommended for all occasions.
Excellent local restaurant. Lovely staff and great food.
I'd read the reviews for this restaurant, and have passed this gorgeous restaurant on a few occasions so decided to go for my birthday meal.
The food was delicious (although the quail could do with a little more sauce/dressing), the wine and cocktails were fab however the service was what made the experience. The staff were very helpful, welcoming and a happy bunch. Great local restaurant!
Been here several times now and it has always been great. Food is fantastic, service is great - can’t reallt fault it. Nice enough for a special occasion but not too expensive for every day dining.
Great food and we were having a great night until one of our party knocked a bottle out of a very badly located wine rack. We weee not being boisterous in any way. My friend simply leaned back on his chair and dislodged the wine bottle that smashed on the tile floor.
The staff cleared it up and then we were asked to if not pay for it, at least contribute. We were told the bottle was worth £125. We felt this was not our in anyway and refused, paid the bill and left with a sour taste in our mouths.
The irony is we were about to order desserts, coffee and more alcohol which would have added quite a bit to the bill.
A shame our nigt was soured.
Lovely little gem in Wandsworth. Went here on a recommendation and would definitely go back again.
Fantastic food, lovely ambiance, professional attentive staff.
An excellent evening meal at Bellevue. Perfect ambiance and delicious food, with a genuine attention to detail in flavours and presentation. Helpful and friendly service. You will not be disappointed.
Waited 50 mins for starter and another 50 mins for a main meal.local if good approach in entering place waited 10 mins for bottle of water requested, anc lnly11 in restaurant in addition to us 2 diners.what a shame
Classic French food, very high standard, quiet and ambient place. High end food delivered in a relaxed fashion by attentive, friendly but unassuming staff. Been here for years, been great for years.
Second visit to the Bellevue and once again blown away by the delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Our friends were visiting from a jersey and are big foodies so the pressure was on and they were really impressed. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family
Great atmosphere and ambience for a romantic dinner out. Very well presented food.
Delicious food and a lovely time for our wedding anniversary
Another excellent lunch at Bellevue. We had the chateaubriand. It was perfectly cooked and the sides were excellent accompaniments. The puddings were also great. The cheese trolley is fabulous. The wine list as ever leaves one spoilt for choice. The Bordeaux we had was perfect with the beef.
I love this place. Really great food and service. Perfect for a family lunch
The outside area to this restaurant was divine for a hot summers evening it felt like we were in Paris.
The inside of this restaurant is captivating and I would definitely have an event dinner at this venue.
The service was impeccable and came with mini French lessons.
Food was so amazing I see my pics and description.
I can’t wait to go back.
What an amazing, authentic restaurant. Will be returning soon. Faultless and fine, fine dining at it’s finest!
Lovely meal very nice ambiance .. a little gem .. can recommend
Great environment, delicious food, and the staff are lovely. Highly recommended.
Lovey Fathers day meal, great food and service. Never felt rushed even though we were the last ones there
Shame that we ordered Chateaubriand for 2 medium and it came out still alive and kicking....way too rare. Side dishes were absolutely pitifully small and service was left lacking - had to keep asking for water, cutely (5 min wait after the food actually arrived). This is a nice setting and good looking venue but the thin Wandsworth crowd will simply pop around the corner to other venues and I’d give it about a year from the date of this review that it folds/changed hands.
Started off well - greeted nicely by the manager and given a good table by the window. Ordered wine and then food. Starters arrived - my companion had the scallops which he was very pleased with, I had the snails which were well flavoured if a little gritty. For mains, he had the pork belly which apparently was lovely. I had the chateaubriand for one, requested medium rare. When it arrived it was medium well if I'm being kind, veering more toward well done. I did not send it back as I didn't want the other party to eat alone or sit and wait for my new food, however I did mention it to the manager and showed her the evidence approx halfway through the meal. She said she would mention it to the chef but did not seem overly apologetic about it. Aside from this, generally the restaurant is ok - although a table seated next to us later on in the evening were read the specials from a board even though these were never mentioned to us at all. For nearly £150 for 2 people would probably expect a bit better overall.
