About Bellevue Restaurant
Set in an old green house near London’s Wandsworth Common, Bellevue is a Gallic gem serving French cuisine to delighted local residents, everything is cooked on site and naturally follows each season. the menu features a Foie Gras selection as well as a selection of great aged beef cuts. BELLEVUE is by the guys from GAZETTE so expect some great brunch items, revisited Benedicte, a Full Bennet omelette etc. As you look out over the cricket green, Wandsworth Common is a step away, the décor here reflects its surrendings: bright, green, with wood-panelled walls and charming French country details, all set under an antique wrought iron and glass ceiling. Bellevue is also a destination for “al fresco” enthusiasts and offers comfortable terrace dining. Prices are astonishingly reasonable and you’ll soon find yourself in no position to deny a chocolate fondant for dessert or hear the stories on cheeses from the “terroirs” of France.

Bellevue Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This is a small and from the outside unpretentious but inside has an airy modern interior that may have been refurbished recently. There is a £26 three course menu and a la carte. We enjoyed the house kir, and the prawn and asparagus starter and the prodigal bonding, and followed by the rabbit and the hake respectively. We shared a cheese plate and strawberry millefeuille. We enjoyed our dinner and the attentive service.
We wanted a restaurant within walking distance for a get together involving four elderly and middle aged family members. Everything was as we expected with a friendly greeting, good service and good food. The disappointment was the wine which was excessively priced for a perfectly ordinary bottle, probably costing about 20% of the wine list price, to the trade.
This is the first restaurant I've ever been to that serves a dessert souffle....totally amazing experience. One must not miss this pistachios souffle! Or if there are two of you, share the crepe with orange and grand Marnier. Great service from the ladies, very pleasant and lets you take the pace of dining. Unassuming and I did not expect to find a restaurant so special. THANK YOU!
We dined with our friends who spend half their time in London and half in Chicago. They are real foodies and thoroughly enjoyed their meal. This is a lovely restaurant, within walking distance of home which is a bonus. Everyone we have taken there has enjoyed it and last Wednesday was no exception.
I have now been to this restaurant 3 times, I am never disappointed. It doesn't look anything from the outside, but inside it is the most charming restaurant, offering wonderful service and a warm friendly atmosphere. The food is rich and delicious and they have the biggest cheese board I have ever seen. I would highly recommend.
When I took our friends for dinner at a place at walking distance from their home I did not expect the evening to be such a culinary delight. Everything turned out to be just right, the food, the wine and the French waiter/owner.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening in a very pleasant ambiance.
The restaurant is actually so good that I would not object against making a detour at a next visit to London
Really enjoyed the experience of going to the Bellevue. The food, service and ambiance was really lovely. I was a bit concerned about recent reviews that said service was poor - I went on a Saturday night. However, I found the service excellent. I would certainly recommend it.
We had a delicious meal at Bellevue Rendez-Vous in Wandsworth Common, made better by the ambience. We arrived early and had the place to ourselves to begin with. The restaurant started to fill quickly and we realised that whether busy or quiet, this restaurant is well-laid out, good Art Deco decor and music to suit its interior design. The food itself was equally good: we started with pate de foie gras, then fillet steak, followed by chocolate mousse and crepe suzette.
The staff were very pleasant and attentive and I would definitely dine here again.
We went to this restaurant at the end of January 16. The interior and the menu have been revamped since our last visit and I understand it is now under new management. The food was really excellent, everyone of the dishes that we chose were delicious. Contrary to previous reviews we did not have any issues with the service at all.
I think that this is a great addition to the neighbourhood and would thoroughly recommend it.
Great service and mouth-watering food served on a wonderful evening at Bellevue restaurant.
Our food was cooked to perfection and our choice of wines were the perfect match to our meal.
This was our first visit to Bellevue and we will definitely be back soon!
