Great service, served by Lucy, although everyone was very attentive.

My starter, the scallops, was amazing! However our mains did not live up to the expectation. Moving onto desserts, where great!

Fantastic Indian cuisine and exceptional service as expected. Went for my partner's birthday and had the a la carte menu which was simply delicious. Cocktails were impressive and all had an indian twist, our favourite was the green chilli martini. Our server brought my partner a birthday dessert at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Would have been 5* across the board but did have to wait 30 minutes for our starter & had to ask for the book included in the deal so a little disappointing

We visited for a 30th birthday celebration lunch on a visit to the capital. Everything about the restaraunt oozes class. The service was impeccable as was the food. We chose the tasting menu which although not cheap is well worth the price. Each course was exceptipnal but my personal favourites were the salmon with coconut curry sauce and the chicken tandoori pie. My partner isn't always a huge fan of fish but the seafood dishes converted her. If you aren't going for the tasting menu there is a very good set menu for only £35 for three courses, great value! We will definitely return next time we are down in London.

Food was fantastic but service was really poor. Waited 25 mins before we could even order drinks, part of the wait was due to waiter not being allowed to take the order so he had to get a manager. Plates were left on the table for nearly 20 mins with bar staff only clearing drinks. Seems separation of duties gone mad. Waited further 20 mins to receive and pay bill again due to wait of a manager. Shame as food was great

Ambience was good but food was okay-ish, I won't reommend for a someone who is looking for an authentic Indian food. More over it was overpriced. But yes good fr business dining.

A beautiful meal - can highly recommend the taster menu - great to try a selection of elements from the menu.

The staff were really pleasant and friendly. We sat in a dining area to the left which was not in the main seating area which we would of preferred. The food was lovely and warm but the yellow dal wasn’t tasty.

This is a must go to restaurant. We've been twice now. Had the taster menu first time (the lamb is sublime) and the set lunch just this weekend gone (poussin and shrikhand are ones to be tried). The wine pairings were really good. We'll definitely be back to try the a la carte menu.
Great place whether you want a meal with your partner or a group of friends.
The bar has a great selection of drinks. Something for everyone.
All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks.
Love this place!!

More than just a meal - this was an experience and a thoroughly enjoyable one too. A very very expensive night that is difficult to justify, but as a one off very special occasion, we had a wonderful night out.

Friendly staff and good service but not the authentic Indian experience foodwise. Disappointed to find that the dishes were based on European food with Indian flavours, I was expecting more typically Indian food stylishly presented!
Wine very expensive. Expect to pay £100 a head. No windows in the restaurant but it is disabled friendly, as long as you don't want to have a pre dinner drink in the bar as wheelchair users are brought in through adjoining office block directly into the restaurant and you can't access the bar area. Left slightly disappointed overall.

This wasn’t my first visit to Benares and although I think the food is good there are a few issues. Firstly, we waited and waited for the menu until I got a bit stern! The food although tasty is never really warm it’s tepid I’ve never had a good hot meal and I’ve been over 20 times. Lastly, it is expensive so only a treat meal.

We booked onto the lunch menu offer for 3 courses, champagne cocktail and complimentary cookbook. Unfortunately we didn’t receive the champagne cocktail and had to ask about the cookbook which made us feel quite rude. Thankfully they did provide the cookbook in the end.

After a disappointing start when we were left waiting in the bar with nobody about and nobody to serve us, the staff made every attempt to make amends and ultimately succeeded in restoring our faith in the restaurant. Our waitress Lucy was excellent.

From arrival to leaving, the staff were attentive and professional. Atmosphere was just lovely. Menu not full of crazy lists of ending dishes. Service fantastic. Food was great. So nice to see innovative puddings in a place serving this type of cuisine.

Food is ok nothing to get excited about. I had the lava cake for dessert and the quality was poor, same dish served in a Wetherspoons at a third of the price. Very disappointing.

Booked a 3 course offer menu via opentable and that was never brought to us just the a la carte. Not an issue but what is the point of having these offers and not giving those menus out.

I have been to much better indian fine dining restaurants.

We had the 6 course tasting menu. Every dish was delicious and so different from the previous course. If we had to be picky, the lamb course was a little chewy and hard to cut. Also, the waiter who was very good, was a little casual. Would definitely return!

Overall it was a fairly good experience-dishes full of flavours. Unfortunately, my meal was lukewarm - could be because we were sitting by the air-con.
I was put off a little by the waiter hovering around the table and using making frequent visits to his base to collect wine for other tables before and after serving.

I am lost for words...this place is a gem. We went to Benares after sister recommended the place. Firstly the staff is beyond helpful and accommodating. Extremely friendly bar staff and restaurant staff.
now the food and drinks... ok I think this place has the best drinks the menu is lavish and the combination of flavors is mind blowing...hands down best drinks .
Food....mmmmmm awesome. being Indian, I liked the way they blended the flavors, also the presentation was equally wonderful. all in all the food was just as excellent as the drinks.

if you London...this place is must for EVERYONE. you will not regret money spent here. This spot is number one on my FAV spots.

Disappointing evening. The starters were not good and tasted odd; the Calamari was oily and over coated. The sea bream and goat main dishes were both delicious but the sides were very bland. Overall we have had better Indian meals at our local Indian and didn’t feel that the meal was worth travelling to London for. Sad to say we would not recommend!

The food and service were excellent. The sommelier was extremely helpful, given the extensive length of the wine list. We were unaware that the à la carte portions were very substantial, and could have been advised to order (and spend) less, but it was all delicious. It is an expensive treat, but certainly a treat.
