Love Benihana for years and years ... but with all this COVID situation I was not the best client ... any way they made they're best to keep us happy and we had a very good experience as always !!!
I absolutely love this place. I have been here several times and I must say they never let me down. The only thing, which is minor, was their hostess. She was not very friendly or nice. But other than that, I give it two thumbs up!!
It was a great time to spend Father’s Day!
This location was okay. The waiter was great! The chef was friendly and nice! I love how he kept my kids entertained while cooking they were happy and amazed. The only thing I didn’t like was the food. The rice was very dry and had no taste. The chicken and shrimp was soaked in butter. My kids didn’t have much of a choice from the menu so I ordered them some basic stuff and they still didn’t want to eat it. I wouldn’t recommend this location only because of the food. But everything else was wonderful. Great experience!

The food and service were amazing. However, the rule of 6 people per table was not applied to the table I was at with my daughter. They sat A total of 7 people At the table. I did not feel that was right putting my daughter and myself at risks it was a bunch of teenager girls sitting at our table, I went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. She just wanted to eat fast and leave. So our celebration was not as we expected. I really hope they would follow the rule as
Dining experience was great as always. They practiced social distancing very well. They sat people every other table. We ended up getting a table to ourselves and we were only a party of three. Chef was great and food was delicious. Server was very nice and attentive. Was bummed that we were not offered a birthday picture and when I asked for pocky on our ice cream we were told that they ran out. About five minutes later a waiter came out of the kitchen with five ice cream‘s and they all had pocky sticks on it.
My husband and I come to Benihana’s a few times and every time we get exceptional service. During these hard times, the waiter and cook were conscientious and made sure to social distance and sanitize properly before the food was prepared. Really happy

The lady who sat us down was Very very rude , all the spas where flat ewwww disgusting , our cook was bad like he was new or something I been to other locations no other cook was dry as him that part of the reason I want to be cooked in front of, Appetizers appetizers were cold
From the servers to the cook everything was great. Food was good how I asked and to my liking.
It was our first time at a restaurant since the pandemic for my birthday. Food and service great! The social distancing and rules were enforced as well! Will definitely go back!
It was horrible we had reservations for 7:00 pm we gat to restaurant on time and when we gat there they told us that last person was for 6:30 and that they trying calling at off course never received the call I ask can I please order to go they said sorry we are closed. I can’t believe all off this happen they never called or either try to services me in any way.
The restaurant practiced social distancing. There were only two other people at our table. The restaurant was very quiet. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious

Food was very good and tasty, waiter very nice, and everything very clean.
They seemed a little lost. We were celebrating my granddaughters birthday and asked for a picture to be taken a routine done for customers; it was never done. A little disappointed. Otherwise everything was nice.
The service and food was amazing. However, I did notice a price increase. I understand they need to make up for money lost during this pandemic, but I don’t think right now was the right time to increase their prices. Not sure when I’ll be going back.
Everything was good Service ,cook , management , not too many clients there.
Having to wear a mask while your food is cooking totally kills the ambiance.
Great service, manager was visible and attentive - good drink pours, delicious food, overall fun atmosphere. Everyone was friendly!
I think the price is a little expensive but good. Cook was good this time.
It was my birthday and my first time benihana's Coral Gables. My friends and I enjoyed the night and we were talking who was the next birthday to go again.... For sure, I would return to try more dishes. The service and the food was excellent. Thank u

I made a reservation for my Birthday. I chose Benihana because I have 2 kids and they like to see the chef playing while cooking... I had a reservation for 7:15 pm, we were seated at 7:35PM and waited more than 1 hour for the chef. When he started the kids were so hungry and tired. So, a lot of stress to celebrate my day. I will not come back.

Oscar is the best chef at this restaurant! He is so pleasant and includes tricks in his performance. But his focus is where it should be ... on the cooking! All the meats and seafood were tender, moist, and delicious! Oscar even remembered our family from a previous visit several months before. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Oscar is a keeper. We can’t wait to return to Benihana.

Upon arriving we checked in with the host station. We were told I’ll be right with you. The server then turned around to a pizza box grabbed a slice and processed to eat it while asking us our name.
She ended up being our server as well. Coming from the Napa Valley and dining in very upscale restaurants we were somewhat disgusted that she was checking us in with pizza in her hand and in her mouth. While waiting for our chef to arrive I was looking around the seating area. The walls, light switch, light above the table were filthy, covered in grease and dust. While walking upstairs to the bathroom I noticed similar cleanliness issues. The stairs look as if they are it swept or mopped. The food was just ok. We were not celebrating any special event just a Friday night dinner on our first trip to Miami. It was also interesting to watch the manger stand around and socialize with other employees while our table had empty cocktail and water glasses.
At the end of our meal we were presented with our bill. There was an automatic service charge of 18% added to a party of 3.

The service did not warrant a 18% tip. We are familiar with the hospitality industry and always tip 20-30% depending on service.
I would not recommend this Benihana location.

I would recommend them to manage the restroom cleanliness better, the restroom was dirty and it gives a. As impression to the restaurant.

I booked reservations that day for 11:00pm and when we got to the restaurant the doors were locked and lights were turned off. There was a paper on the door that said, “closed due to no power”. Had to quickly call the other location and race over there as the last reservation was at 11:30pm.
When we arrived we were told that the restaurant was CLOSED. I did not receive a call, text or email of the fact.
