Absolutely terrible experience. Had a 7:30PM reservation, didn’t get appetizers till 9PM and they were cold and missing one. Saw staff waking around with masks around their chin, and cursing about wanting to leave. Asked for a manager and was told to wait five minutes for him, we walked out.
Reservation at 7 waited until 9 for a chef 9:30 to eat.
The wait for a hibachi chef was way too long. We sat at 3:45pm and didn't get our chef until after 5pm. The food was good and the chef was good, just the attention of the servers was lacking. Could have used more drinks or appetizers, poor follow up from the waitstaff.
We had to wait over an hour for our chef to come out and the people next to us came in after us and had their chef before us. They said because they had to prepare more chicken but either way the food was terrific when we finally were able to eat.
Had a 8:15 reservation didn’t get seated until 9. No organization..Our chef had absolutely no conversation.. It was just ok..Won’t return
I love Benihana’s, this was the first time I came and waited 30minutes with reservation to be seated. The front desk attendant was rude and sat people who came in after me and my party before us. My waiter didn’t bring me my soup and salad and sushi I ordered out prior to me and my guest getting our food on our plates. The service was awful and I was very disappointed. The food was not at its best that day I guess because of it being under staffed. The staff was arguing and it just wasn’t a good experience. I don’t know if I will come back after this bad experience.
Got there at 710 for a 715 reservation, didn't get the table till 745, didn't get water until about 830. Waiter tried to explain himself why he didn't take come to table, his excuse was nobody told him. Meanwhile, he walked by us about 6 times until I had to ask the hostess to have someone take our drink orders. Cook finally came out and was STRUGGLING; couldn't Crack an egg, food ALL OVER THE PLACE instead of just the grill. Table across from us had a cook 10 times as better. (Not to be THAT GUY, but I do remember sesame seeds on my zucchini.) Chicken was dry, did I forget to mention the cook was STRUGGLING? My wife asked for a second drink, that took about 40 minutes, waiter AGAIN tried to explain himself. Dude, STFU and get the drink. Dinner is over, he asks if we want ice cream, told him my daughter would like sherbert, he proceeds to slide over chocolate, BUT NOT BEFORE SLIDING US THE BILL. Dude, get me the CORRECT ICE CREAM. I do have one regret.......bill was $191.12, unfortunately I didn't have exact change, so he got an 88 cent tip, which I thought was TOO MUCH. This place SUCKS SERVICE WISE, wish I can give it NEGATIVE 5 STARS. Stay away from this glorified SOUP KITCHEN.

This place does not deserve any star rating. Please do not visit this branch. I booked this restaurant for my first year wedding anniversary dinner with my husband and they gave us a table that we had to share with another couple. We told the manager that we would like it to be private since it's our anniversary, not only did he refuse. But he was rude and didn't seem to care about his customers. In fact, he was charging us extra 200 USD to have our own table. I will never visit this place ever again. The manager did not speak to us properly. When I called them multiple times, they did not let us know about this policy. Because if we would have known, we would not have booked this place for our anniversary. The manager was horrible and ridiculous with his reasonings and the way he spoke to us was ill-mannered. Never going back. We ended up going to much pleasant place.
Food all over floor , food under cooked ... we waited 4 hours to eat
Not your avarage habatchi grill. The service was very nice, Juan our chef was very annimated and kept us intrigued. Food was very very tasy

I waited 15 minutes to be seated with a reservation. Then 2.5 hours for our hibachi chef to get to the table. It was very irritating waiting to be serviced! The food tasted bland and unusual. I didn’t even finish.
I was very disappointed with the treatment received today. After showing up early for my 2:15pm reservation for two, we were told we’d have to wait 10 mins since there was a shortage of chefs. A party of 5 was also waiting to be seated. At the time, it seemed no big deal. However, 30 mins later we still weren’t seated and the party of 5 was escorted back. We asked when we would be seated since it was way past our reservation time and we were told that it’s only 3 chefs working and they don’t like to do tables of only 2 people. But there would be another party of 2 coming in at 3 who we could sit with. I advised we did not want to wait until 3 to sit down and eat as I made a 2:15 reservation. The hostesses advised us we wouldn’t have to wait and we could go back now. They sat us at a (dirty) table with crumbs all over. I asked for it to be wiped down and the busboy just took a napkin and wiped off the crumbs. No disinfectant or water. But we were hungry so we stayed. About 8 mins later, we still had no one come over to the table. No water, no menus, no nothing. Finally a waitress walked by and said she’d be over in a sec but nope, she continued to assist other tables. We then noticed it was almost 3pm and that it was apparent that they were going to make us wait for another party to serve us. So not only were we lied to, we were made to wait 45MINS past our reservation time all bc they didn’t want to take a party of 2. Yet they allowed me to reserve for a party of 2. In our long wait, we ended up making a reservation at PF Chang’s for 3pm. We left and ate there with no issues. Unfortunately, this was both our first times at Benihana so we were not pleased.
My reservation was at 5:45pm but not to mention you can hardly find the restaurant because it’s in a weird location so that took me at least 5-7more minutes after I came to mall to actually find it. So I was considered late so I came in an they knew I called about the delay so they said because I was late someone else was given my seat so I waited patiently for about 30 mins until they found seating. Never once mentioned they were short staffed until they brought over a couple then explaining they have to seat a party per table because they only have a few chefs an they had to cancel multiple reservations. So I said once they are finished with one table could they just go to the next an the couple just said they’ll wait an I understand they’re understaffed but we come to be served not to have to deal with circumstances of them being understaffed. So as me an my table is waiting to be served the couple that came in 1 reservation behind me was being waited on first. I did perhaps mention it an it was fixed. But perhaps we waited literally 2 hours to be served an it wasn’t a great experience at all.
Well the front staff was very unprofessional, we came in and walked up to the desk and one of the young ladies was on the phone the other one looked at us and walked away. Once the other young lady got off the phone she said do you have a reservation, I responded yes it was for 5pm I’m about 7mins late I apologize she said no problem just wait over there. About 10mins later the young lady that walked away came back to the desk and asked what are they waiting for? She said a table. She walked away again and came back about 5mins later and said I’ll take you to your seats. I asked for a car seat holder the girl said I don’t know if we have them but you can use the chair for now. I sat my family down and waited for the waitress which she came out 15mins after we sat down. I asked her for a care seat holder because I told her I didn’t feel safe with the chair. She said I’ll check for you she left the table went to other table and came back 10mins later and I said did you have it she said oh I forgot. I got up and walked to the desk and asked the young lady and the guy who looks to be the manager. He said sure and walked and got it. When I got back to the table I told the waitress I have the birthday coupon and I just read it and it says it’s only good for Monday thru Thursday, I told her I just read it and didn’t realize there was a cut off day. She said oh it’s fine my manager will accept the coupon I said are you sure because I don’t want to order and at the end I get told no I can not use it. She said oh no it’s fine. We placed our order she went and waited at her other tables and then put our order in. About 20 mins later, our appetizers came out, I explained to her that my soda was flat and my pan fried dumplings were cold. She said ok and then the chef can to the table. He went in the back and got me fresh dumplings and cooked them in front of me. The chef was the best part he made the visit better. The food was ok but the chef was great. When it came time got
Asked for a separate table bc my date has a shellfish allergy. I was still put at a table with others who ordered seafood. Chef even put shrimp on my plate.
The experience was horrible, our reservation was for 8:45 we didn’t receive our waters and drinks until 10:00pm. The chef did not say two words literally. As far as the food all the chef did was smack a lump of better on everything.
We had reservations and still had to wait another 45 min.. then had to wait another hours for the chef to cook and the food was burnt.

As always, food was amazing! Ask for the chef Juan! Server was sub-par, took almost 40 minutes to get drinks and soup. Restaurant was more packed than I would have anticipated with covid restrictions. But love it here. Will be back many many times.

It was my daughter bday the staff and manager was very friendly and accommodating. We just had to wait a really long time for a chef which it was late by time we ate but it was an overall good experience
Our dinner reservation was at 10 o’clock pm, we didn’t get to sit down till 11pm.. as we waited for the other tables to finish, our food did not finish up until about 12thirtyish , for some odd reason they only had two cooks throughout the entire day, long wait till not enough 6ft social distance in the waiting area.. I would like to go back with better circumstances
We had to get to go order me and my date becuz your host told us there would be a hour wait for a cook!!!!!!
Two weeks before my reservation, I got an email reminder about it. The day before the reservation, I got another reminder, which also asked me to respond whether my group was still coming. I answered yes. When my group of six arrived the next night, we found that the restaurant was CLOSED for eat-in service. Why did I not get an email telling me that the restaurant could no longer honor its reservation instead of one telling me that it was still good and asking me to confirm that I still wanted it?
Terrible, had a reservation at 645 and was seated, sat until 730 and no one even came over for a drink order or to ask for a order or anything, we said something to the hostess, waited another couple minutes and we walked out, I’m very disappointed, we were looking forward to this place
Due to the Pandemic the restaurant was closed for dine in and no. One contacted me from the restaurant to cancel the reservation. I drove a state (DE) away to come for the experience to end up ordering and eating in the car so the drive wasn’t wasted.
Very good food. Great chef! Went all out and my 4 year old loved it
Horrible service!!! We waited hours to eat and our waitress forgot to put our food in. Our cook didn’t give any presentation and we were celebrating my daughter birthday.
It was a fail. We came to celebrate my daughter’s bday. We waited for 1hr and 20 mins for the Chef. When he finally came, we felt like he was upset and so not wanted to work. It was very uncomfortable. The usual chef show didn’t happen. He cooked as fast as he can without a smile or a word from him. Will never come back to that place again!
I love Benihana and I am so sad to write this review. The restaurant was dirty like dust hanging off of curtains dirty. The chef was not fully trained couldn’t even manage to flip his utensils with out dropping them. The sauce was completely curdled and couldn’t even be used. He had the grill up so high everything smoked terribly burnt on the outside and not cooked all the way through on the inside. His knife was so dull he couldn’t even cut the chicken or steak it basically tore into large chunks. He was nice enough and so was our waitress. It was a horrible display of what used to be such an enjoyable experience. This has been going down hill and you would think with the time most places have during the pandemic they could better train the staff and clean the restaurant.
The service was fast and on point. Our cooked kept us entertained and our server was very consistent. Can’t wait to dine there again.

Great time at Benihana, as always. I especially appreciated the attention to COVID-19 precautions. The seats were spaced appropriate distance from other guests. The food is always good. I only gave 4 out of 5 in some categories because I’ve been to this location manyyyyy times and felt this time wasn’t my all time favorite experience.
Bad night. Took approx 30 mins for drinks and food order. They had 7 or 8 grills with people. They had 1 server. Who then completley disappeared. Don't know why. Chef was very nice but not entertaining. Took 45 mins to get our bill. The other 3 people at our table actually walked out without paying their bill. Overall a mess.

I waited over an hour after being sat before the chef came out it wasn’t busy in the restaurant at all .. I ordered a Benihana trio and did not get my soul appetizer or dessert .. maybe they are understaffed

Would have never even considered this place if P.F. Chang’s was open. Couldn’t find the restaurant, made reservations for 9:30. Moved them to 10:00 to be safe and courteous. I called at 9:50 after arriving and called to ask specifically where in the complex the restaurant is. I said we are looking at P.F. Chang’s and red stone but I can’t find you guys!! Rude, terrible English speaking idiot says, “you must be here before 10 if have 10 reservation”. Obviously I know that but you need to tell me where in the mall there this place is. Restaurant closes at 11 mind you ... we finally see it and park and they wouldn’t let my wife and I inside. Time? 10:02. Will NEVER patron such an absurd place. Thank god for it all because we ended up at BAHAMA BREEZE and had our best dinner in awhile. Hibachi rice isn’t worth that headache. Go to bahama breeze instead! Go anywhere else instead
