extremely yummy food, exciting atmosphere (even if quite empty)
Amazing food drinks and amazing staff.
The food is very very good and yummy fresh ingredients. Cool drinks too.
We booked a table for brunch only to arrive and be offered a sofa and small coffee table by the door. The actual restaurant, which has dining tables, was half empty and the waiter was extremely rude and not accommodating. We did not stay to have brunch.
Food is tasty and well presented but service is slow and it is quite loud in the back room.
We love the Ben's bottomless dinner, it's amazing value and they're great at topping you up! Usually go to the Clapham Junction one but the Earlsfield version was much quieter which is a shame as it's more fun with lots of people!
The food and ambience were excellent. And, value for money was great too. We will definitely go again.
Finally managed to get to Bens Canteen after investing in the crowdfunding a couple of years ago. Last minute booking. Great welcome, quick and efficient service. Food arrived quickly and all was very enjoyable. Shared the chicken nugget and squid starters, followed by doubled up BC burger
We will be back.
Great place for brunch or lunch.
Excellent food that is not over priced.
We visit often and will continue to do so.
Been a few times already to Ben’s Canteen. Absolutely love the food here and will be back again soon!
The food was really good and the service was great!
Ben's Canteen in Earlsfield used to be my go-to place for brunch. I hadn't been here for a while but both myself and friends where thoroughly disappointed. The breakfast menu had a strange mixture of items on it and the quality of the food wasn't very good- bland taste and very salty. Bring back the old Ben's!
I took work colleagues out for a thank you dinner. We had a lovely time, we were well looked after and the food was great. If I'm honest it feels like it is catering for trends rather than an authentic presentation of what people want to eat but that's being picky. Go there!
One of my favourite places for brunch or a Sunday roast! Will definitely be back :)
Loved the gin, the music and the food. Ben’s Canteens exceeded our expectation.
The restaurant was really busy! Despite this we were served really quickly by a very friendly waiter. The food was outstanding as usual
Food was great and quick service but very noisy. Ok if you don't mind that and looking for a very casual lunch and not planning to stay for too long
Best pancakes in town and Peanut butter-Banana milkshake is just to die for!
Food was incredible. Staff were friendly as usual. We’ll definitely be returning soon.
This was our 3rd time to Ben's. The food is really good and the service is friendly. We love the fact that we can bring our dog with us! We will definitely go back.
I loved the old brunch menu with traditional eggs Benedict and the acai bowls, I definitely miss those. Also didn’t quite like the judgement from the staff about ordering GnT’s at 11:30 while everyone else can freely drink mimosas. Used to love Ben’s now not so much.
I found the waiters and waitresses to be disinterested in the customers and came across rude. I found it hard to get their attention and on one occasion, on returning to our table a waitress gestures for us to go to the back of the restaurant in a manor that is not acceptable in the service industry. I found the portion sizes small and the food was average, under seasoned and over cooked.
Food was mediocre and pricey for what it is. I ordered the fritters which were doughy and a side of chorizo for £3 and got 2 small pieces.
Theres lots of other options which are better for sure
Lovely halloumi fries but the doughnuts were rather disappointing - and normally I love them! No syringes for injecting the filling and the dough was pretty tough.
Bens has great brunches and superb burgers. Service can be a bit over stretched when it’s busy and they keep pushing their prices up! Which pushes it beyond they value vs quality which they previously had. But still I keep coming back!
Was a good evening, the only minor issue was slow service at times, but it was a busy evening. All staff were friendly and hospitable, and the food and drinks were good. Definitely plan on going back.
My partner and I booked to come here Sunday morning 10/02/19. We struggled to get a booking but settled on 9.30am despite it being slightly too early. For the fact we struggled, we thought that it would be busy but was not the case when we arrived. Again, despite this, we were given a pretty awful table and told all others were fully booked. These tables actually remained empty for the duration of our visit!!!!!!!!!
My partners food was OK i think. He had the full english. I had the sweetcorn and kale fritters and a latte. The latte was good but arrived lukewarm. I would have preferred it hotter but perhaps my fault for not requesting 'extra hot'. My fritters were inedible pretty much. Pure stodge that was difficult to chew and swallow. Not to mention tasteless. I paid an extra £4 for chorizo which was the ultimate joke. This was 1 tiny chorizo sausage sliced in half like it was attempting to disillusion me!
Won't be coming back. And my partner was more upset that he wasted his sunday lie in for mediocre, expensive food!
Food wasn’t great. Service was okay. It wasn’t very busy and you could see why.
Lovely meal and great service ! We had a gluten free person with us that had multiple choices. We started with the chicken nuggets WOW ! We then had burgers and a flat iron steak again WOW !
Thanks Ben’s we will be back x
Food was delicious and the menu had so much choice! The only thing I would say is that it is a little on the expensive side.
Great food and really sweet team. Loved the atmosphere too. Will definitely come back !!
Eight of us had a lovely brunch with some excellent gin and tonics (Ben's own distilled gin). Great atmosphere - warm and welcoming. Excellent service - quick and friendly.
Great food and very friendly staff. Would definitely visit again
Regret disappointment this time. Previous experience was good but this time over cooked burger, charred bacon and soggy fries made it a less than wonderful experience
We enjoyed our dinner at Ben's Canteen. Decent food in a friendly, Casual environment. We'll certainly be back
The food arrived cold and there were tables which were not made up and had stale plates and drinks on from other diners who had left before we had arrived, and were still there when we left. Took ages for us to pay the bill as well. 12.5% service charge is not justified.
Met some friends there and loved it, starters, dinner and dessert were simply amazing,
Food was great value and service was lovely. Will definitely be back to try the Brunch!
chicken bun was to die for! Nice place to come for brunch.
Decent food, scrambled eggs a bit too runny for my liking
Casual dining. Good service and food was very good. Main course could have been a bit hotter but food taste very good. Gluten free food didn’t seem to be any problem for them. Would go again.
