food was really good however there was a bit of mistakes with orders and food not served and waiting which was a bit dissapointing to recieve chips at the end of the meal qfter asking for them 3 times.
really lovely venue
its also a bit dissapointing that waiters doesnt know ingredients of food.
When we first got there we had to wait a few moments for our table which was fine. Then when ordering the table numbers had gotten mixed up so we kept being offered the table next to us orders, this did make us giggle.
There was another table where 2 ladies had said they had been waiting nearly an hour for their food, the hostess literally argued with them in front of everyone saying they had been sat for an hour but the computer has shown that there order had been input 15 minutes before that, I’m no mathematician but we had been sat at our table for 40 mins and the ladies ordered before we even sat down, I felt so embarrassed for them as everyone was looking over at the hostess telling them they would still have to pay for their meal because they had ordered it, and not one member of staff taking responsibility for it and basically blaming each other. It gave a very awkward ambience as even after the segueing at the table the hostess carried in shouting about it to another server which the ladies heard and even they said why is she still shouting about it.
Our food came and the starters were over cooked, then when the mains came mine was cold and had to be sent back, causing my husbands meal to be luke warm when mine returned.
I also messaged the restaurant with my booking as it was my husbands birthday and asked that they wrote a special message when we ordered dessert from his mom in New Zealand, this did not happen as I was told the girl that probably takes that message had gone home.
All in all for a £139 bill, I have been to much better restaurants.
The added group of servers standing round the till talking about someone that didn’t want to pay the service charge in not a pleasant way just added to the shambles.
Oh and then the bar ran out of straws, so trying to drink a cocktail from a really long glass was hilarious.
I can’t say it was a totally bad experience, but for my husbands birthday I wish I would have chosen somewhere else.
Food was served after an hour because the waiter forgot to send our order to the kitchen. He was very apologetic afterwards. Another waitress was VERY RUDE demanding us to pay for the food that wasn't even on our table yet and was shouting while communicating with us. Food was great but will try other branch instead of Canary.
Fantastic food, good service, and value for money,
I have a loyal customer for many years but something has changed, the place it not the same anymore.
Last night the service was horrendous, all the staff has changed, and for the worse, they just couldn’t be bothered.
2 drinks took 30min to arrive and the order was wrong, the food arrived but cold, burned and just had a bad taste overall.
To top it off, one of the senior staff told me that they struggled to find good personnel which was the reason for the decrease in service.
This used to be one of my favourite places in London, I might not go back, unless I hear that there has been a major change in how the place is run.
Toilets very untidy, food really good but service was shockingly slow.
Staff were nice but seemed to struggle. Had to ask x3 for a drink, bill was incorrect, etc. food was pretty good but we didn’t want to stay any longer than we had to so didn’t take advantage of the offer or deserts - got ice cream from supermarket instead to celebrate my sons birthday. I’m sure on a good day it’s great but we won’t hurry back!
Great ambiance and venue. Great food as well
Senior staff rude, clearly bullying a younger waitress in front of us and our young child. Tables and floors sticky, didn’t appear clean or in keeping with Covid prevention. Food arrived within minutes - before our drinks- which would make you question how fresh it is. Food was not great at all. Overall, disappointing.
I didn't like this venue as much as Covent Garden. The service was good, but unfortunately my lobster wasn't cooked and had to send it back. Overall our experience was a positive one.
Service very poor. Waiting for staff to attend table and having to get up and ask for a drink.
Very poor menu for Gluten Free diners . Slow service took 20 mins to order a drink . Cramming all diners into a small part of the restaurant not exactly covid friendly
Took 10 minutes just to get the bill and the waiter didn’t take it starter away when brought mains even though they were clearly finished
Really great food service a bit slow
Ordered the limitless BBQ and it was a disaster. The ribs were full of fat and tasteless. There were no sausages as advertised and when asked, they promised it would arrive shortly, never did. The chicken was mediocre. Overall a disappointing experience.
I complained to the manager and after the back and forth, he gave a 15% discount.
I wouldn’t recommend this place for rib lovers. Total waste of money if that’s what your looking for.
Ambience was ok but the service was rubbish as well.
Took ages to order. Once the order arrived we had to looking for someone because we didn't have cutlery to eat our food. Very confusing as you cant recognise the people who work there. A name badge or an apron on all of the waiters/waitresses would be helpful
I love dining at Big Easy and this was my first time at the Canary Wharf branch. The lobster was delicious as usual and myself and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Staff were polite and attentive and I will definitely be returning in the future.
Amazing ambience, very testy food! Recommend!!!!!!
We arrived early to have a drink at the bar - the barman was rude and told us to wait while he did something else. Fair enough but it took an eternity for him to return to take an order. In the meantime we noticed a lot of little flies around the bar - a bit off putting.
When we got to our table to eat, the bench side of the table was so low, it made it awkward to sit comfortably.
The tables around us were covered in dirty plates and glasses and weren’t cleared away for a good while. Lots of food on the floor around the restaurant too.
Our waiter even picked out the wet wipes from a dirty table and put them on ours in front of us! Although unopened, this is still an odd thing to do in the current climate.
The food itself was the most disappoint aspect of the day. We had the Monday special - the big pig gig. The food was overpoweringly flavoured with what tasted like synthetic smoke. The ribs were fatty and the sausage was nice but very small. The chicken, although cooked well, had a very plain flavour. It came with two sides, slaw and some watery baked beans. So very disappointed as I had been told good things about the Big Easy.
All in all, we did not enjoy our meal here and would not return for this disappointing food.
Service was slow. Had to wait at the bar. Before we got are table waited 20mins for a drink
Bad quality never again, food was undercooked no seasoning in food & service was really slow it was like they had rushed the food
Food was lukewarm and was placed near the terrace door which is always being opened so by the time I’d had a couple bites my food was cold. Ended up taking most of the food home because I didn’t want it to go to waste. Understand it was a busy Sunday but waited far too long for BBQ sauce. Food was super tasty though!
First time, was a fantastic experience.
Went here to celebrate my Birthday, which was ruined. My food came cold , the waiter dishes food over everyone's plates. I got served cold chips twice and when returned was Told they don't give fresh ones they just reheat them. I asked for medium rare steak and got a blue one after sending it back twice ended up not eating it. Got charged for mc and cheese which was never served to us. When I asked for another waiter was told the reason why the current waiter served like that is because his black and doesn't speak English. Terrible service would never fo back
I just love this Big Easy restaurant! I went with my young family and we had such a good time, the food was amazing as usual and very good value. The rose prosecco I was served was some of the best I've ever tasted, the lobster was tasty and succulent, the bbq dishes which my partner had was delicious and very large portions. The service was 5 stars. It was so lovely to see all the young servers and waiters/waitresses being so active and pleasant and making sure we had all we needed. Pouting our wine, making sure we had ice bucket, joking with my young daughter. It was just the perfect experience do thank you to all the hard working staff and especially the young staff who are constantly on their feet and working hard. Thank you so much!! It was a 10/10 experience with a bust atmosphere!
Food not as tasty as i have had from the original big easy on the kings road. Calamari was rubbery with no flavour, and the shrimps lacked in taste. The deluxe platter had good quality meat but felt repetitive in taste across platter, being unable to finish as the platter became boring to eat.
Service was not up to scratch, slow to remove plates snd had to ask several times for tap water and ended going to bar ourselves. However food was served promptly and order taken at the start in good time. I would come back but certainly try other dishes.
Extremely poor service. Had to ask multiple times for items. Left waiting for long time (eg to order, to pay). Raised with staff member at the end and no resolution. Staff all very grumpy.
I had been recommended this restaurant by a friend. Splendid amount of food, great beverages for the amount of money paid. Not sure you can get that quality for 30 quid anywhere else in London. We wish we knew that we could have mixed our drinks in the Bottomless Brunch but that is simply a sidenote.
Brilliant!! I’ll definitely be back soon 😀
Food was decent and good value for money, although some of it was cold. Found a hair in a bit of chicken and the waiter was apologetic although no discount or anything else was offered. The service was slow, not particularly friendly and nothing was explained when we ordered the bottomless brunch and we were there at a quiet time.
A little disappointed our steak and chips were cold and we ordered two starters only one came? When we asked we got told we only ordered one but at time of order waiter repeated our order and he definitely said two starters???
Arrived on time had to wait 30 minutes for our table (if you’re 15 minutes late you lose yr booking)
Had to ask to be served at table, twice.
Ribs, pure fat and like jelly
Toilets nasty and no toilet paper
Band was best thing about the eve
Spoke to manager, he’s gonna call me 🤷♀️
We booked for 19:15 and we’re not seated till 19:50 but they only give you a 15 min grace period.
It was a game of musical chairs we were moved twice.
Our waiter was extremely slow, we didn’t even know who he was and waited 20 mins just to order.
Then he kept forgetting to bring things to our table.
When it came to pay. We’re already paying service to charge to then mention a tip is a bit cheeky. We waited again 10 mins to pay.
However, the food was very good.
Food was great. Service was very, very slow. Took over 3 hours to eat main courses and dessert.
Had the lobster which tasted great, only wished there was more of it for the price. The service was also mediocre, waited slightly longer than we should have street being sat on a table near a broken door that let a cold draft in
Waiter was grumpy acting like he didn’t wanna be there was rude and impatient didn’t even let us finish ordering before running off and having to call him back!! they don’t no how to cook steak everything else was fine
When we arrived we were not greeted and taken to our table to be left for 45mins before someone came over to us, while they continued to serve everyone around us. Once they acknowledge us we had to order our food before even receiving the drinks menu. The food was mediocre, especially for the price. The best things about the meal was the view. I was disappointed about the meal since I had wanted to try this place for so long, never again.
Took 20 mins to get a fork by that time steak was cold had to argue to get a refund I wouldn’t waste your money
Very lovely location.
Food and staff were on point.
Had a great time.
We didnt book a table yesterday and was told by the front door staff that the restaurant is fully booked and that we have to book on a Mondays to get a table. After being told there ls no table, I tried booking online and got a table for 5 after 2 minutes. I dont understand why the staff have said that well in fact there was entry empty inside. I found it rude and disgusting.
