Appalling! Waited over an hour for food even though the table next to us were served and left before our food turned up!
Medium steak was cooked well done, when sent back they told me I was wrong! I think I know that a medium steak shouldn’t be thoroughly cooked through!
To top it off they over charged us for a larger steak than we ordered and shoved a £15 service charge on the bill!
Food was not as expected. However environment was good.
The service was absolutely appalling, almost felt as if the food was thrown at us. It was shambolic, staff didn’t seem to care about the customers... whether this was because it was late have night and could have been a contributing factor but nonetheless I expected a lot more from the restaurant.
I've been to Big Easy a few times. Its a fun spot. Unfortunately the food can be hit and miss. This time round both my friend and I had the combo of chicken, pork and ribs, and the ribs were inedibley dry. Pity as the rest was lovely. But the vibe is good so Ill probably be back.
Had a brilliant meal here the food was amazing the shrimp taco starter was a taste sensation. Great atmosphere and service. Pricing was reasonable and will definately be returning here.
Firstly, our waiter Andrea was very attentive and really helpful, relaxed atmosphere and great music. We went for the 'limitless shrimp' special and enjoyed it very much and hope to return for my birthday later this year.
I visited for their unlimited Shrimp Tuesday deal - customers can choose between unlimited fried shrimp and fries or shrimp boil with a free drink for £20. It’s excellent value for money you’re guaranteed to leave stuffed! It wasn’t my first time at a big easy restaurant for the offer however I hadn’t been to the Canary Wharf branch before. I thought the scenery was lovely. I don’t know if they do anything slightly different from the Covent Garden branch but I found the food tasted a bit nicer. The drinks were not as good though. Our strawberry daiquiri slushie tasted purely of frozen juice we could not taste any alcohol at all. The service was good, our first waiter wasn’t that attentive although when we did speak to him he was nice. When there was a shift change over and we got another waiter he was excellent. Very nice guy, we didn’t have to ask for anything really he came over and offered us a top up of shrimp and fries and brought over wet wipes when we were nearly finished etc. He was around a lot making sure everyone was enjoying their time which the other guy didn’t really do. Overall, I had a nice time meeting up with my girl friend they didn’t rush us and we got to enjoy our food and conversation comfortably.
The receptionist was very nice ! We had a nice welcome.
Was a huge menu , we try to manage because nobody explain us the menu, but anyway some of the waitress was very focus in small details . The food was very tasty and amazing views from the terrace . We had nice evening there .
Worst customer service I have ever received. Majority of the waiters were rude but the food was good
We booked Big Easy in Canary Wharf because that is where we work and we were after a 'quick' lunch. I go to Big Easy all the time and never have an issue. We purposely ordered the 'Hit and Run' because my friend who I was dining with had to be back within the hour. We ordered at 12.13. It was nearly 12.35, so we queried this with the staff and they went to check. The food then arrived and the waitress said loudly 14 minutes 30 seconds.. & we corrected her told her the time we ordered. We wasn't trying to just get a free meal - the whole point was to get the food on time. Which we didn't. Would like to know why do you offer this to customers saying you will offer a free meal if its longer than 15 minutes - and then go against your word? & we felt sarcasm from the waitress when we queried this - not a good feeling when I am a good customer of yours.
Slightly disappointed with the customer service and they way it was dealt with. But food was gorgeous as always. Thought this needed highlighting to you.
Booked a table and was seated immediately upon arrival. Waiter was quick and efficient however spending nearly £100 for 2 of us, the food wasn't outstanding, however portion size was good and still definitely a great place to visit.
Food was fabulous, especially the lobster and sharing platter for starters. Really enjoyed it here and the service was also very good. Great evening.
We ordered the whole lobster from the bottomless brunch menu, it was terribly small and poor value for money. We have two bottle of prosecco on a hot day and the waitress did not bring us an ice bucket, although other racked were served in an ice bucket. The waitress should have explained the size of the brunch before we placed our orders as we overheard another waiter do to his table. Instead she shrugged in agreement at the size of the lobster. I will stick to Burger and Lobster. It was a disappointing birthday meal with friends.
Great customer service
Tasty food with a very quick service from ordering
Sat outside which was a nice layout and not crowded.
Indoor music is slightly too loud could be hard for conversation
Overall a very happy experience
Just go somewhere else. There are no words to describe how abhorrent the service and quality were.
Food was great and it arrived quickly. Live music after 7pm is a nice feature with great singers and music, it wasn't too loud that you couldn't talk to those on your table but loud enough to create a buzzing atmosphere. One slight thing was service was a bit haphazard. Drinks arrived during mains, even though we had starters, mains plates were cleared before we had finished eating and on payment, the card machine didn't work at all, resulting in myself and another table having to go find a cash point somewhere. These things happen so I didn't mind, but if the staff knew where one was close by that would have been useful, it was an adventure all the same.
I would go back as I imagine this was just a blip, the food is too good not to try again.
Barring the drinks being a bit of a rip-off and the corn bread being a bit dry everything was lovely and delicious, staff were friendly and helpful and we had a great lunch
Great food, great service, great music. Will definitely be back again soon!
First time here and enjoyed it. Would easily recommend it.
A friendly welcome at the hostess stand, the bar area has a good buzz and the live music is good. We were seated on time, however, it took a while to get a drink. We were disappointed that the chicken wings were on a delay of 30 minutes, (we were prepared to wait, however, the server said whilst they said it was 30 mins it was often longer, he kind of put us off) so we ordered a different starter (Calamari), which was OK.
Great chips and Mac n Cheese, Good mains.
Desert a DIY sundae (we weren't quite sure what to expect), ice cream came up in a cardboard bowl, with toppings all in little paper tubs, we wouldn't order this again.
A nice meal.
Fun location, good job we booked as very busy. Service was quite slow but just acceptable.
Great food, rustic decor, poor service.
I would only go to the original Big Easy on Kings Road.
If you like the food of the southern USA then this will be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. If you don't, the menu is pretty limited.
Came for the brunch menu, and had a great time. Service was very good and food tasty
Date night. Was excited to go as my partner is from the south and was feeling a bit homesick. Sat down at 20:05 no one came over to greet us and finally had to flag down the server ordered some drinks and were also kinda forced to order food. We waited and waited...after flagging the server down, we finally got our drinks at 20:45. Food came. It was lukewarm and you could tell that it had been under a heat lamp. The chicken was so dry, I needed a drink of water after each bite. The brisket was so dry. The sauce was put on my bbq even though I asked for it on the side. It was all so bland dry and tasteless. The table next to us also wanted to complain but the server was not around. I should have been more proactive and sent it back as it was just blah. So in the end spent 100 on mediocre canteen food. Save your money.
I didn’t really think much of this place food was average menu isn’t very clear about what you actually get on your plate and the service was poor waiter took ages to just ask what drinks we wanted the table next to us who were seated after us got their drinks and food before us even though our order was taken before and they also had problems working out what comes on the plate having to order chips after her dinner had arrived.
We was sat on a table for 2 and my bf sat Ben with something hanging from the ceiling that kept dripping on him and when we told the waiting he just thought it was funny so we finished our food quick paid and left I don’t think we will go back again!!
Went for my usual 1.5lb lobster which seemed to get smaller. There is always new waiting staff and so detailed questions had to be referred. Overall, a lively place with a good choice of meat options. Needs to cater better for vegetarians!
Been here many times but this was the worst visit. Service a little bit slow. One diner ordered a medium rib eye steak which was medium rare. 4 portions of chips ordered and only two arrived and one drink arrived very late. £140 not good value really.
Atmosphere was always fantastic but the lobster is getting smaller and smaller size each time we came eventhough chose the 1.5lb largest size they have compared to the first couple of time we been here. Overall it was good but if they can make sure the lobster they provide is accurate in size and weight as stated in the menu as its definitely getting smaller everything i come for meal. Thanks
Shocking, food arrived late (50mins) - offered to just give us free drinks for our time wasted.
Will not be dining here again.
I ordered the limitless BBQ ,the 1st serving was good. After that I asked for 2nd serving, the pork ribs were salty, pulled pork like a chunk of meat. That why i gave fair star.
the ambience was really good.
Will come again to taste seafood meal.
Slow service to start but, allowed us to stay at the table a little longer than we should have
great atmosphere and food,
would recommend to all who love eating out
good food , fast turnaround, good price, great atmosphere, friendly staff
It was all a bit disappointing. The waiting staff were quite annoying - firstly the waitress seating us couldn’t care less and was more interested in chatting to her mate. Then our waiter for the meal was the total opposite, pacing around the tables like an exam invigilator. The food also arrived really quickly, which isn’t exactly what you want when you’re spending £25+ on a main. And after all that the food was bang average.
Food wasnt very good at all, very dry and service was terrible. Over priced shame great location.
Always go for the Lobster, St Louis Ribs & Quality Live Music...... Never disappoints. Looking forward to hour next evening back in the Big Easy!
Our favourite place to eat. Oustanding service, excellent food and super atmosphere en live music. When in London, visit the big easy Canary Warf
I liked the style of restaurant and ambiance (live music), good choice of food on the menu and reasonably good value on the surface. My colleague and I shared a bbq meat platter which was served luke warm at best. Not great for fatty meats like brisket that taste like meat covered in lard when cold. I won’t be returning.
Food was delicious. Portion size was generous and good value for money.
