Lobster was amazing, so was the truffle mac n' cheese.
Food was good and service was good. Only thing food was warm instead of hot
The social distance spacing in the restaurant is poor. There was poor air circulation. Despite being on a dock, the doors weren’t open. Eating outside wasn’t an option either which is a shame because that would have helped with air flow. There are poor gf options, and there were issues with the frozen drink machines and stock of desserts. I wanted to have a great time, but it was merely okay. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon especially with COVID-19 as a major consideration. I’ll be choosing restaurants that do a better job in terms of air flow and spacing.
Brilliant lunch with my family. Great staff service was very good will definitely be going again.
Great food and service as usual. Very attentive to Covid-19 measures. Bravo!
A beautiful location, but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the food.
I ordered spare ribs and wasn’t expecting so much fat to be on the meat.
I was expecting a better cocktail selection.
I’m not sure if I will go back, as I found the food disappointing.
We tried the other 2 big easy branches and thought we would try Canary Whatf one very disappointing the boozy brunch was different from the other branches the service was slow and food is rationed when it come out there was 3 of us and only 1 side was coming out for all to share had to keep asking for them to bring food out and when we received the bill they can’t we were charged for all the drinks which were included on the boozy branch
Poor service wont go to that one again
The service was really terrible. Clunky and unfriendly, we felt uncomfortable.
Orders were taken incorrectly, wrong food was served and generally it was a bad experience
Our waiter was very attentive! We went for a boozy brunch, great food, great drunks and great service, didn't feel rushed and always offered us more drinks before we were empty. Would definitely recommend!
Service could have been better. I wasnt happy at a radioactive laser pointed at my head without being asked if okay.
Receptionist had a very rude tone when I mistakenly stepped over the line.
Apart from this it was perfect.
We loved the food and the waiters and staff were very attentive and accommodating. We even got a free ice cream for the birthday boy.
Was surprisingly disappointed. Been to the covent garden store before and was very happy with the whole experience. This time the experience was completely different and from the start was unhappy. The greeting at the front desk was warm and welcoming, sanitizer and track and trace compulsory and lady at the door stand was polite. Was taken to our table and very disappointed to see there was no social distancing or safety in place that I could see. We was sat at a table that had a small chain link partition to the side of it. This meant our heads were much closer than 1 metre to the people next to us with no masks obviously this was unacceptable. Ask to be moved which we was. I couldn't see any tables reserved to aide with social distancing which has been in place in every other restaurant I have been too. Food was delicious and big portions. Service was slow, mains brought out before the starters were finished, waited 40 minutes for our plates to be cleared, kept seeing drinks taken to the wrong tables including ours. As someone who works in the industry, the fact I asked for the service charge to be taken off I think is very telling of the experience. Unfortunately I don't think I would return to this venue any time soon, just doesn't seem safe enough, like profits are being put before people, and staff seem to be too busy to work to their best.
I visited on the second day of it be re-opened due to covid and I was very disappointed by the good quality.
I love BIG EASY and was really looking forward to my visit but the food was just not the same. The voodoo wings were very salty, the Caseser salad with shrimp tasted like Iceland battered prawns and my slushie cocktail was watery and tasteless.
However, the staff was attentive, kind and welcoming. Every person I encountered had a smile and a hello.
Got there before my friends. Staff could have at least asked or offered to get me a drink while waiting. And no one came to ask us what drinks we wanted even when my friends were there. We had to flag down the waiter for it. And their chicken wings were very salty. So we just decided to finish our starters and skip the mains.
Ambiance and location was good though.
The seafoods are the best thing that happened. We want to go back already.
Great bbq food and super lobster!! My first choice is always the voodoo wings, but I recommend the tastorama to give you a taste of everything
Everything was lovely but I do find the live band to be so loud when they come on that you find it hard to speak to your fellow diners and have to really shout. Not an enjoyable experience
Had an absolute rocket sat opposite me. Best time ever. And the food was great
I am came here for my birthday and I fortunately was running late but I did call ahead. Upon arrival the maitre d’ was quit rude and basically told us we had to wait and just go to the bar. Despite this the rest of the night was great! My blonde waitress was lovely and the rum punch fantastic! The waitress happily got my food order changed when I wanted fries instead of potatoes and the food tasted lovely!
One person to seat people in a big restaurant and one person serving st the bar made us stand around waiting for a table with no opportunity to get a drink. Many small issues with the service I.e. forgotten drink order etc.
Absolutely massive venue but the food is top class and considering how busy it was the service was very sharp.
The only gripe would be the tables are too close together but other than that it’s a fabulous place, can’t wait to return.
Lovely evening out celebrating my mum's birthday. Booking was easy and although the restaurant was busy, we we're well looked after.
Great value for money, excellent food, plenty of drink and a buzzing atmosphere.
Fun atmosphere, great service and delicious food! Great value boozy brunch.
Very good food, cocktails & music, although service was a little slow
It was my partners birthday and I thought big easy would be a nice restaurant to go to. He had once tried lobster in another restaurant and said it wasn't great, so I ensured him that this lobster would be great.
Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very lively on a Friday night. I had ordered starters voodoo wings and crispy calamari and for the main half lobster but wish I went for a whole lobster because it was quite small and there wasn't much lobster meat inside. However, the lobster was very nice and my partner went for the lobster and shrimp roll with sweet potato fries, which was also very tasty. Both of our meals came with slushie cocktail, which was a bonus.
I would recommend this restaurants to friends and family.
We’ve visited this place every year before the C2C festival for the past 3 years and will be back again next year. Perfect place for some tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Pleasant evening beautiful customer service
It used to be a nice place for a dinner but now the prices are definitely too high. From the meal we loved to buy they removed some sides and put the prices up, we had to buy them separate. I asked a waitress a glass of wine and got the most expensive, shame on them.
I would recommend as it’s a very nice & cosy place for a date x
Food was expensive and doesn’t has the expected quality, just ok. We were there around 1,5 hours and after they served food nobody came in between to ask about taste or if we would like to order something else. To get in hold of a servant better bring some firework - the normal “wave you hand” could take you hours to be served.
The restaurant described themselves online as “extremely child friendly”. When we asked them for some paper and creoles the first forgot about it and than it was a one paper and two creoles.
The worst thing: the lady’s toilet
- they have around 5-6 toilets and only ONE got toilet paper. So it was only ONE useable Ladies toilet for the whole restaurant.
I am afraid I don’t think I would recommend the restaurant to friends.
Highly recommend x food was good x service was good x
Absolutely amazing food! I love the lobster- it’s a wonderful atmosphere!
The food here is good for the location being in London, but the food does not taste much like authentic southern comfort food. Portion sizes vary depending on the meal you order.
Love it as usual
Food amazing as always, service was slow but seemed very busy in restaurant so understandable.
Love Big Easy - mainly for the Lobster meal but prawns and ribs also excellent. Certainly Canary Wharf branch stands out for its location and service. The music adds to its ambience so definitely the place especially to enjoy an evening meal.
We were seated to our table late. It was only that I spoke to a member of staff that we then got seated.
We waited almost 20 mins for a drinks order (part of the brunch).
But when my mum ordered a drink (paid for) it came straight away.
The steak we had was more a less cold.
Trying to get hold of a waiter - we waited ages each time. It seemed that the waiter had to many tables to look after.
We booked for 3pm, but didn't get seated until 3:40pm, the staff didnt seem to care about our car parking charges when we had to ask about table, other than that it was good.
Once we did sit down, the food came out quickly and the service was good, it was very busy and loud in there.
The service was very poor and was made felt awkward when asking for any assistance. We asked one waiter for a couple of normal menus and he angrily answered saying I’m not your waiter as he walked off. We had two pregnant ladies on our table who’s drinks did not come until the food was served and when asked for more drinks they did not come. I understand this is a busy place however if they can not cope with the bookings they should not allow so many tables in at one time. Every time anything was ordered there was no warmth or friendliness from the staff and everything had to be chased up constantly! Very disappointing will not be returning!!
