Big Easy Covent Garden
We proudly offer a large slice of easy going living, inspired by the Gulf Coast, with live bands 7 nights week, a friendly welcoming atmosphere, fresh cocktails, ice cold beers and generous portions of
good old home-style cooking offering Home-Smoked BBQ & Fresh East Lobsters.
Fast forward to today and we continue to uphold those time-honoured traditions; social occasions of the bygone age, friends getting together over great fresh food, plentiful drinks and music - these never go out of fashion.
Great Lobster, great vibe! Overall the food are great and CP is high as well, worth to try
Horrible service! Rude staff! It took them ages to bring the drinks to our table and the waitor/waitress both had a hostile attitude from minute one. Never again!
Excellent food and service
Such a good deal on Thursdays for half a lobster, massive bit of steak plus chips, salad and half a bottle of wine! The staff were amazing!
Good food good service
Good food and good ambience but I feel that the portion size has reduced!
I ordered a surf & turf with a 200g fillet which was tasty but was finished in 2 bites...it did not feel like a 200g portion
Really enjoyed the eat as much as you like wings and fajitas as well as happy hour. Atmosphere picked up around 5pm which was great.
Staff at the bar and table were attentive and on the ball!
It was great. Good atmosphere. Amazing food
I love this place but this time around they sat us next to the live music stage and the volume was so loud that we couldn’t talk to each other and left with a headache. Also the waitress forgot about us several time for a long while. It’s a shame because the food is fantastic
- Didn’t follow up on birthday special request note I left
- Staff were slow and inattentive
- not enough space on table for the food... too crowded
- food is great
- good value
- selection of drinks
All good but service was a bit slow, it was a monday night so not crazy busy. Other than that was good.
The set of the day is really worth the money with the awesome service & ambience!
I am a regular Big Easy customer across their branches. I love everything about it. If there is something i could improve - it would be the noise level, especially when the live act is on. there is no need to have them play and sing so loud that i can't hear my friends. I come to socialise with friends first and foremost, the act is irrelevant and should be 'background' noise.
Food was so good, although wasn’t asked how we wanted the steak to be cooked, and the frozen mojitos were lovely but not sure how much alcohol was actually in there. But thoroughly enjoyed it
A lovely place for a family gathering with so much good food to share. A firm favourite with our family for a celebration
I've been to The Big Easy on several occasions and have always enjoyed it. However my visit last Saturday (10 August) was very disappointing. We ordered a sharer platter and there was nothing on the platter I could say was nice. We ate hardly any of it. I did mention to our waiter how poor the food was but he didn't seem interested. I won't be rushing back.
The place is incredibly busy so it's obviously doing everything right. The chicken sandwich was bland unfortunately with very little/no taste. The error was mine in what I ordered but the service was a bit slack and overall you just wonder if the menu needs updating a bit more frequently.
I took my 6 year old daughter for lunch before the theatre. I had the fixed cost menu for £20 which included a cocktail. They suggested I order a starter too so then my daughter could eat for free. It worked out good value, although £4 for a kids apple juice is a little steep, considering how well priced the rest of it generally is. I used to go to the original restaurant in Kings Road a lot in my pre-children days, and I think that restaurant has more charm, but there was quite a buzzy vibe and it was busy. Was a shame I wasn’t child-free as I would have taken advantage of the Boozy Brunch deal which most people appeared to be having as it looked fab.
The wine prices were extremely high - £19 for 2 small glasses of wine.
I had surf and turf fillet with half a lobster - £34 but I then had to pay extra for chips! £4.50
I felt that spoiled our evening really so was very disappointed.
Live music too loud, we had to end up shouting at each other.
Brilliant as always. Love Big Easy and great service every time we go there.
Great food. Lovey cocktails and good service. Great night.
OMG the food was amazing definitely worth another visit.
Always love the quality of the food and prompt service.
You 100% need to book!
Hmmm not dazzled....Used to be a big lover of Big Easy back in the day when the only one was in Chelsea, this place used to be so much better, service was lacking my table was only available for 1hr 15mins but wasn't clear whether this was before or after ordering so felt rushed throughout, had to ask twice for GF menu and mayo, had better lobster...such a shame was really looking forward to it but there's better places for lobster now in London it seems
Excellent food BUT I paid £5 for TWO steamed shrimps that were tiny, over cooked (rubbery) and stone cold, and I wasn’t too happy about it. Everything else was lovely!
Visited for the first time and really enjoyed it excellent value for money
We’re from Texas, it was recommenced by a fellow Texas, and we have been to the Big Easy a few times .... always leave happy!
Great for meat lovers! But a bit overpriced for what it was. We couldn't see live music so were a bit disappointed. I wouldn't go back but I would recommend to some of my meat loving friends to try! Maybe midweek when they have their deals on.
The only drinks menu we were given was for cocktails. It would have been nice to have had a wine menu.
Great food and service but a little hot in there
The whole place was packed and you could not hear anyone else speak.
The food basically stated all the same.
No intentions of going back.
It was to celebrate by birthday so we had a lovely mean and even got ice cream with candle at the end which was a special touch.
The only thing is that the restaurant was so hot.
We did the unlimited boozy brunch and it was fab! Food was great and the service was quick. We were never without a drink!
Good food, loud and slightly crowded. Small tables make it difficult to eat lobster. Loud and dim lighting makes conversation a little difficult but doesn’t embarrass you in the process of eating a very hands on manual food.
Cocktail was also quite small. Food is slightly pricey but likely average for similar menu.
The squid in the starter was very poor. Dry and very chewy.
The rest of the food was solid.
Cocktails seem to have got smaller too.
Service has been better.
The food was very good as always, very fresh and tasty.
One star short because, while the service was generally good, the drinks were often late.
The waiters were helpful and available, there is no shortage of hands, but it seems that depending on which drinks we order they might come from different bars. In itself this wouldn't be a problem, except that they would arrive at different times and some quite late. The beer I chose in particular might have come from the other end of the restaurant, the first one I only received when others were more than halfway through theirs. Then again, while ordering seconds (it's that good) I ordered another beer, but only received after I finished the food and reminding the waiter.
I would still recommend the restaurant, but just hope the drinks ordering and delivering improves, I don't remember it being an issue on previous visits.
While the allergen menu is extensive, there are very few gluten/dairy free options . Don't think there was any vegan options and vegetarian selection was limited.
Chips are poor and you don't get many.
Unable to order cocktails to table, so had to queue at the very busy bar.
Stools very high, not great for anyone under 5ft 5!
Slushy cocktails are great though.
The loster of mine was not fresh enough, the meat was soft. However, the steak was too hard. Even my children ordered the medium, it was too hard to eat.
Great bar, great happy hour, great atmosphere. The live music was incredible.
