Lobster roll was phenomenal
Food is always great.
Staff are always helpful.
It was my birthday and I decided to have a birthday lunch. Will be back soon.
great venue, great location, great food, great staff...what else do you need from a restaurant?
just a great atmosphere all around and would definitely visit again
Delicious food and outstanding service.
Got stitched up when it came to the tip. My fault for not checking the bill, but got handed a complicated card machine with the only option to include a tip. At the same time the waiter was telling me that they get the tips. It was only after I had left a generous tip on my card did I check the bill and realise they had already included 12.5% service. So enjoy your hefty tip guys... I won’t be back.
We come here often. The food is lovely, generous portions & boozy brunch is great value for money. It's casual dinning in a relaxed atmosphere . The staff are friendly & service was quick.
1 pound lobster is very small. I asked them to have half lobster and ribeye (lobster + rump was £29) instead of rump and they charged me 4 pounds more.
The staff were great. Proactive, considerate listened well and very polite. Food was delicious and portions were generous.
We waited over 30 minutes for our main course after our starter. The waitress was not attentive, we had to keep looking for her or asking someone else to look for her so we could order more drink. It was just so disorganised. I’ve been to this branch before and I have not experienced this before. Very displeased.
Food was over and under cooked. Service was extremely slow. Usually a great experience but this was extremely disappointing!
Staff were extremely friendly and provided great service. The food and drinks were very good. Generous portions but rather pricey. Tables downstairs are very close together so it's a bit cramped.
I booked a table several days in advance, but was shown to the basement. For the first 30mins my Sons and I were the only dinners., there was a whiff of damp / drains and the high level exposed drainage pipe work constantly gargled sounds of waste water passing through.
Waited 10-15 minutes to order drinks.
Starters arrive after 25 minute with a portion of chicken wings cold.
Mains arrived about 5 minutes later whilst still eating the starters.
Had to try to get attention of the staff for over 5 minutes on 3 separate occasions to get cutlery etc.
Wasn’t told that the kitchen had ran out of fries and had been replaced with a bread roll.
Asked for the bill 3 times over a 15 minute period.
Manager offered to deduct service charge for the bad experience.
Disappointed as really enjoyed all the “big easy” restaurants over the years but will now never go back!!!
Ideal dining place for all occasions. Food and service was good
Terrible food, overpriced, noisy.... overall I would stay away. I have never written a review and I am not a complainer but the experience Friday night was horrendous. Staff lovely not their fault.
I haves visited Big Easy Kings Road 8 timed during last 4 years, which is lot because I live in Finland.
Food has every time been very good.
Service was this time very good, average has bee good +.
Atmosphere is energy but the level of music is a bit loud to my mind but suppose om to most of customers.
Excellent all round - as always. Very good value for London.
I've been to The Covent Garden Big Easy more times than I can count even though I feel it's not as good as it used to be. This time I thought we'd try the Kings Road one. Oh what a disappointment. We had booked a table for 1pm but were called shortly after noon to say they had problems with the gas and could we come in at 2pm instead. Which we did. No apologies when we arrived. And several tables were finishing their lunch as we arrived so didn't seem to be a problem after all - my guess is they over booked. Food was average. Lobsters were over cooked. But main blow came after we checked credit card bill the next day. When we paid our £140 bill, one of the four of us paid in cash, the rest by cards. No receipts were offered. One of the cards was, we were told "declined" so the waitress tried again and second time it went through fine. Again, no receipt of the declined transaction was offered. Naturally, we should have asked for the receipt but we were caught up in a good time and conversation and we didn't. Now, of course, the bill still added up from the restaurant pov if both my friends transactions went through and it would have been very easy for the waitress to pocket the cash payment. My friend has contacted the restaurant and they wanted receipts (which we of course didn't have) and the itemised bill (which, again, we didn't take). If this is a genuine mistake I will apologise, but it really doesn't feel like it was, and until my friend is refunded, I will continue to kick up a stink, as this is utterly unprofessional and unacceptable.
Fillet and lobster are amazing
Fried Shrimp as well
Good service nice music
Unfortunate the food tasted like it was rushed. The wings were bland my lobster was chewy and the chips were over cooked. Service was okay, just took long to receive the food and then even longer to receive the bill.
Quite unfortunate as I usually love this place.
good food and good value for money. A different dining experience and would recommend
The food was fantastic and the lunchtime boozy brunch deal was great value. Unfortunately we didn’t catch the name of our waiter but he was absolutely brilliant and really went out of his way to deliver an outstanding service, which made our lunch all the more enjoyable. If the review gets back to the restaurant manager, the hispanic man with the bun is an absolute credit to the restaurant! Looking forward to our next visit.
Great food, great people, great night, would recommend for celebrations
We have been to Big Easy for so many years but have to say the quality of their foods are not as good as before.
I like the idea to put their steak on black steel plate but if the plate is stone cold, the steak will get cold quicker than to put the steak on normal china plate. It has to be warm black steel then it would be better.
The size for side salad was as big as saucer plate it is very expensive (£5.50) compare to basket of chips (£4.50).
Great food and nice environment. I’ll recommend it.
Great food in a relaxed and family friendly environment.
We were seared next to where all the waiters/ waitresses gathered. I ordered a meal with lobster, crab claws, mussels and potatoes and it was drenched in the sauce so almost impossible to eat without getting sauce all over yourself. Ridiculous to serve a meal like that drowning in a sauce as the crab and lobster were still in their shells. I gave up in the end. Expensive too. Cocktails are £9.50 and the wine list is expensive. The staff however are all lovely.
Food has improved again the waitress was excellent but service charge is outrageous £14 only came to the table twice and was online 2 people
Good food ... good beer ... good atmosphere ... generous portions - highly recommended
We really liked the new refurbishment. Place looked cool , but the food was terrible .... it used to be one of our favourite American / bar food but I don’t think we will go back.
Booking didn't work and we had to wait half an hour drinking at the bar with 2 young kids. Music was very good, waitress very nice. Unfortunately the food wasn't. It's very expensive to eat frozen shrimps.
Haven’t been here for some time so didn’t know the interior has been changed and the menu also. Despite being called the big easy crab shack there was only some crab claws as part of one dish. Very disappointing!
Love love love my absolute favourite restaurant. Foods great, service great. They even accommodated me even though I was late to my table.
Great place, nice food, but too much noise - even early in the evening.
Great good and the waiter that served us at our table is exceptional. She's friendly and very welcoming. love her vibe! The reason I rated service a 3 was due to the ladies at the front desk as you come in. They were not very friendly and I was waiting for a friend and they left me standing there. They told me to go to the bar rather than explaining there was a seated waiting area. they made me feel uncomfortable and it was only my experience thereafter that salvaged it. Also the tables are very close together so you loose the intimacy of going out with friends as it feels like your practically sitting with strangers and sharing their convo.
The whole family, three generations like it a lot
The atmosphere in that place is nice. We came in but by some reason the hostess was seating at the table not being at reception as she should be. We were sat at the table just behind reception and this when she decided to stay there all the time ( not even a meter distance). The lobster is disgusting there ( they are adding soo much mayo, you can swim in it). The fries is just tasteless. The prices are okay but you don’t want to pay for this disgusting food even that. Disappointed because the place looks nice, reminds me of an American pub.
Birthday dinner and they couldn’t do enough for the birthday kids
