Delicious food, cute ambiance, friendly staff! The portions were a little small for the price, but I'd still go back.
Went to Bijan’s on the recommendation of a family member... there were 7 of us and our table was comfortable and the ambiance was great. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions. The cocktails were unique and delicious and the food was exceptional! I would definitely return!
We booked a post-wedding Sunday brunch for 10 at 11am for the immediate family. We changed the number of people several times, and some of our guests didn't arrive until 11:45 (or possibly even later). At one point, one of our guests demanded that the server change the music. We were not an easy bunch of guests to deal with. But the team at Bijan made us feel welcome and were extremely flexible about accommodating our crew. They smiled the entire time and were very attentive. And then the food and drinks came. Both were delicious and it was amazing how much came out of the small kitchen so fast. The brunch special ($20 for meal and cocktail) is a great deal. Support this little gem, the people there deserve it!
Great food and service. A nice quiet (for downtown Brooklyn especially) spot, relaxed and charming.
Service was anything but warm. Food was good.
Just expected better
Food was great, but the waitress had an attitude.
Food was overcooked, beer was warm and skunked, service was lackluster and overall space was dirty and sticky
Really delicious food! Totally a locals spot. We loved it. A very hipster kind of place. Great drinks and great atmosphere!
Great food and nice atmosphere
My friend and I had a wonderful lunch this Saturday at Bijan. The food and cocktails were amazing (highly recommend the steak salad and the Ginger Margarita) and our server Teo was funny, friendly, and attentive.
I will definitely add this to my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn!
6 of us for dinner, arriving in 3 groups, very accommodating server, delicious cocktails, apps & dinners were great for our crowd, too full for dessert this time, but we'll be back!
Yummy Persian noodle soup and excellent service from Teo the bartender!
the main dish of the pappadelle was very tasty, but the appetizer of eggplant with walnuts really had no flavor, no spicing. they had to keep filling our water glasses. maybe leave a bottle of water on the table?
Service was extremely slow. Maybe there was a problem with the kitchen? We didn’t see any main courses come out for nearly an hour. Food was ok, not remarkable.
Cute spot but took 45 min to get some eggs and cold toast.
Theo was amazing!!
Great local eatery. Food always good, great fun, relaxed atmosphere
Waitress was so rude I won’t be back. Took her 20 minutes to even come to our table, she looked annoyed to have to serve us and then our actual order took 45 minutes to arrive. Sat without water for almost full meal. I had high hopes this would be my new favorite in the neighborhood but I won’t be back.
There were quite a few empty tables, so the restaurant was hardly busy. Yet we waited over 70 min for our food, with the waitress not checking on our food or us until we flagged her down 40 min in. 40 min in, we asked and she said the kitchen was a little backed up but the food would be right out - but it took another 30 min. No apology, no checking on us (in over an hour of waiting!) unless we flagged her down. Very slow kitchen, poor service, would not go again.
It’s such a cute space! But, the food was terribly disappointing. Mediocre vegetarian options, which included a mushy veggie burger that, with cheese, comes in around $20. The vegetarian pasta literally looked like it was leftover from another table with one or two bits of tomato. The highlight was the salmon which was well cooked. Servers were pleasant, but they seemed understaffed.
Loved the flavors of Persian cuisine. It was packed on a Friday night so service was spotty. The special stew is delightful. As for appetizers, just know that the mezze plate while tasty is overpriced -- we ordered 3 and the servings were little more than dollops (2 tablespoons each at best) for $21.
This place nothing but amazing! All the food taste good. Definitely will coming back.
Food and service were great, although when I first walked in, took them a little while to acknowledge that I was there. There was a guy behind the bar just staring at me and not saying anything. Other than that, everything was great. I’d definitely come back, those buckwheat pancakes are to die for
Wonderful neighborhood spot - very cozy with fireplace and old movies showing on the wall. Food was delicious and service was great. Really loved this place! Close to Hilton Hotel and subway stops.
We loved the friendly vibe and artsy decor, very relaxed and comfortable. Nice cocktails and very good food--nothing fancy, just delicious and satisfying. Unusually good veggie burger and excellent fries. The mezze plate was tasty. Perfect place to hang out with friends over a good meal.
We were there for brunch - it was bustling and noisy, just below the level of being too loud. The service was excellent and both hostess and waitress were very nice. The $20 prix fixe for brunch (includes various fun versions of Bellinis) was a fair deal and the food was quite good. Recommended: the sweet potato fries and lamb burger (note: you pay $1.50 more for cheese on your burger - choice of feta & blue, as well as the standard cheeses). It would have been nice to have a little side salad of mixed greens as part of the dish, but lettuce, onion, and tomato did come with the ample lamb burger (*not* a little lamb burgini!) The only downside was that they take cash *only* (there's an ATM nearby if you forget.) Very conveniently located near the A and C train lines.
Great brunch in great restaurant
Great food and price. Only downside is the service takes a long time. Brunch took over 2 hours for 4 entrees and 2 cocktails each.
Food was a bit pricy for quality and lunch.
Good happy hour though!
Adorable venue! Super cozy with a fireplace for the winter. We had a great time. Food is good, portions are on the small side so don’t go starving. Service can be a tad slow but it’s a small space and an even smaller kitchen so it’s to be expected. Go check it out.
Really nice atmosphere however service was not great. Maybe it was just our waiter however 1:15 for the food to come is not acceptable especially when all the dishes except mine were brought. After a few mins I reminded the waiter and he went to get it. Sorry, disappointed because I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
My wife and I had an awful experience. We sat down at 630 and after waiting around for 5-10 minutes without any server coming to us, we flagged one down, put in an order and asked if it was possible for us to get out by 730 for a show. They said that'd be no problem. At 7, we still had no food, and asked if our order was coming out soon. They said it was being plated. Ten minutes later.... still nothing! We ended up having to leave after being there for 45 minutes and receiving no food.
The service was awful. They lied and had no idea what they were doing. I have no idea how this restaurant is in business.
Delicious and a great deal
The service was very slow and took nearly 35 minutes to get coffee (while we were already eating). We we're the first ones in there so it shouldn't have been an issue.
We generally love this place for dinner but the brunch experience was mediocre.
I have been to Bijan's a few times in the past, and this time the service was most accommodating. I planned a celebration dinner for my friends who have recently gotten a domestic partnership, and Ferdia and Bianca were very pleasant in helping me set up the table and surprise them. Excellent service, food, and ambiance!
Omg food was delicious. My waitor.
We came here with a large group and had to leave after 1.5 hours with no food. To be fair they brought out our drinks pretty quickly, but it appeared to be an issue with the kitchen. The drinks were great and the waiter kind, but I feel like management handled the situation very poorly.
Sunday brunch in a cozy & friendly spot - wood fire crackling on a very cold January afternoon.
Service good, food good value for $20 brunch, including cocktail.
Bijan is the cutest place ever! It’s very quaint. The food is really good too! I had the special which was a beef stew with Persian flavors. It was very tasty. The best part of the meal though, was the saffron rice....it was incredibly delicious..and I’m not a big fan of rice!
My friend had a vegetarian tagliatelle pasta dish. It was delicious also.
To finish we had their homemade tiramisu....very good.
The service was a little slow but they were nice so not really a big deal to us. It’s a great place to spend time.
Great decor and ambiance. A good find for New Year's Eve.
