Good service. Expensive wine. Portions small for price. No bread. Salmon excellent. Hanger steak very good with excellent oven roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach
This is a terrific place on Charles St in Beacon Hill. Warm, comfortable, terrific homemade pasta with a wonderful wine list. Covid safe environement. One feels very comfortable dining out here.
This is a small restaurant that serves a large selection of wines by the glass (pours from 100ml to 750ml). We tried three reds and a white. All were excellent. The food is generally not too complex but everything we had was well prepared and delicious. The crispy duck with walnut butter and blueberries was particularly good and inventive. The number of small plates available was great for trying with different wines.
New Year’s Eve! Duck confit was the best!!!!! The pasta and scallops delicious! The hangar steak cooked medium rare was so good! Ended the meal with the poached pear desert which was perfect!
Our waiter Trevor was a delight.
Thanks for helping us celebrate the end of 2021!
Very classy wine focused spot. Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm.
Bin 26 Enoteca is one of the worst restaurant experiences myself, my husband and friend ever encountered.
1. I listed my allergies on my reservation
2. Food didn't come out as ordered - warm goat cheese left off salad and no salad dressing. When I asked, it was replaced and the goat cheese was cold, not warm - I sent it back
3. My husband ordered a salad and it came with Duck and the Server said it says that in French on the menu however that isn't the French word for duck as our friend speaks fluent French and we explained this when the Owner came over to our table to let us know he is losing money from us - never, have I had such a rude experience and prior to sitting at our table, my husband and I sat at the bar and had a drink and an appetizer. The bartender informed me and my husband she would let our server know of my allergy and to take good care of me
Sadly, the restaurant lost business as our friend is a Concierge in Boston and owns a big Concierge business and I write reviews and articles for many restaurants and businesses and we both left the restaurant saying this was one of the worst experiences we have ever had.
Stay away from this poorly run establishment - what owner would tell as customer he is losing money when they were at fault for not providing good service and explaining the menu items better and providing good service?
The wine list here is excellent and reasonably priced. We had a server who needed more training, the server tried. The food is always good ! Yes I would recommend this place to anyone.
Always excellent…great food and you can always connect with Beacon Hill neighbors…
Really great experience - and for us, an establishment that takes safety seriously while still preserving a great dining experience
Second time there and both times the service was terrible. Food is good, but disappointed with the level of service. Not being greeted at the door, to the server not checking in, and very slow.
Really great food, loved that they had half dish options. Really great wine list, would definitely visit again
Food and wine both very good.
This is a wonderful place to enjoy some terrific food. Highly recommended.
The pear/ prosciutto appetizer was great. The beef medallions with creamy polenta had very little flavor, and there was no salt to be found. The waiter was sweet but inattentive and not very knowledgeable. It was SO LOUD, which is not always a bad thing, but with the tables so close together, there was no way to not listen to our cackling neighboring diners. We couldn’t wait to leave. :-(
The food was good but portions were tiny. Any party over two people will be put in the back near the bathrooms, which you will hear and, at times, smell. The service is average and they they weigh their food, so don’t even bother complaining that it’s too expensive for the small dishes you’ll get because the waitress/waiter will only tell you that they with everything, so there’s nothing they can do.
We found this little gem because the restaurant we wanted to go to down the street was fully booked. Everything about this place is outstanding. I like that they have half portion pastas. That makes it great for sharing, especially if you want to order the larger entrees. The food is flavorful and fresh. Our server was friendly and attentive (which is hard to find these days). They also have tables with heat lamps for those who want to do outdoor dining. Highly recommend this place!
Good food. House table red wines not so good. Not many moderate priced wines by the bottle to purchase.
Excellent wine, excellent excellent eggplant and meatballs. Excellent service. Quiet and cozy
Great wine selection and ambiance. Had pasta that was very good.
Excellent food and great wine list put together by a innovative, knowledgeable wine director. Intimate atmosphere.
Our waiter was not knowledgeable about wine(@a wine bar). We asked for wine to be paired with our courses. This was not an option. The food was delicious. Service was disappointing.
Unfortunately our waiter was either poorly trained or inexperienced. Drinks were slow with prompting necessary. The food bland with the exception of the burrata.
Maybe we misunderstood the vibe.
This place really went downhill.
Waitstaff was clearly inexperienced & poorly trained. They knew nothing of the wine list. Poured champagne into a wine glass & it went flat. Struggled to open the wine bottle. There was one waiter covering the entire indoor dining area, who we rarely saw. Service was very slow.
Many wines on the menu unavailable (which we were only told after selecting/ordering).
Food was mediocre. Charcuterie board was grossly warm, cheeses were sloppily cut & all mixed together. No one told us what was on the board when it arrived. Entrees were ok but nothing special. No one in our party complimented or finished their meal.
Delicious food, sufficient portions, delicious (though pricey) wine and above all, and especially hard to find in these post-Covid days, EXCEPTIONAL service from the host to the server.
No diet coke , diet pepsi or ginger ale on menu.
Food delicious but took an hour to come out once we placed order.
This was our first time in-person here and we were excited to check it out as we’d just moved to Beacon Hill. Had a 745 reservation—at 8, we checked and they gave away our table. Finally at 815 they sat us yet unfortunately it was in the very back. After another 10 or so minutes our server finally came over to give us our menus—not even apologizing for the wait or even speaking to us at all. The food was amazing and came out pretty quick, but the service was truly lacking. We’ll be getting takeout from here again but not going in-person anymore.
Waited 90 minutes for our food after we put in our order. No Updates were given from waiter.. we had to ask them
Great food abs great service
Great food and setting outside on Charles Street..friendly warm service.
Overall very good. Highly recommend the chicken
Food is great. Service
Great food and Service! Fun spot for every day dining.
Eating outside on Charles street is always a traffic experience but the food and wine were delicious and the owners and staff are lovely
The best tiramisu ever.
Good food, great service, nice location, recommended
My wife an I had dinner at 7:15 pm on a weekday.
The bartender checked us in and was extremely helpful getting us a table outside.
Our server was “Ross” (i think) and we was really great. He knew the menu and the wine list. We ordered a bottle of Pino Noir he helped us pick appetizers which consisted of 4 cheezes and meats.
Our main course and desserts where awesome.
Overall we had a great dinner and will be back again soon.
Simply yummy. Would definitely go back. It was loud but service was willing to turn down music. Chianti, pasta and good conversation…who could ask foe more?
Love the pasta dishes and very unique and exciting wines. They are great at helping me select a wine and doing quick tastings. The pasta comes out piping hot and they use truffle oil and other flavors so beautifully. Restaurant is usually full for dinner but never packed so I always feel safe inside during covid. Staff wears masks and diners seem to be respectful. The outside patio is spacious and set up beautifully with some floral planters and nice separation from the street. Always a great time!
Very nicely decorated wine bar/restaurant. Food was good, wine was good value. Server did not know the wine, disappeared and had not great response for a wine question. 45 minutes between first course and entree. Wait staff had to move too much to be efficient. Overall a nice place but not if you are pressed for time. Great playlist.
