Bishop's Dining Room & Wine Bar

From start to finish the evening was fantastic. The food was really first class and perfect. The service and hospitality could not have been better as we were made to feel one of the family. Thank you Bishops we will be back as soon as possible.

It’s always a pleasure to eat here, Alex is so welcoming, the staff are amazing and nothing is ever to much trouble. The food always surpasses my expectations, as it always has done and will no doubt continue too in the future. Look forward to booking again soon.

We enjoyed our dinner in terms of the food and service, which were very good. But we have to say that the gaps between the tables were tight, and the hanging plastic screens did not fully divide the table spaces. The movement of the waiting staff between the bar and kitchen and the dining room was also an extremely tight squeeze. There were about 28 diners in the room, which is smallish and low ceilinged - so these were perfect conditions to trap and transmit viruses. We're aware that businesses, including restaurants, have struggled financially and need to recoup their losses, but I think it's simply wrong to crowd people in like this. I reckon there were three tables too many. We would recommend Bishops to friends, but not until vaccinations are well under way.

Bishops is an excellent restaurant in the centre of the historic city of Norwich. Excellent food (certainly one of the best in Norwich) combined with great service and a friendly welcome make for a superb dining experience. Highly recommended and I shall be returning again and again!

A nice menu selection which was well priced, knowledgeable waiting staff who delivered very well cooked and presented dishes. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We were very impressed

Despite new arrangements due to the pandemic, Bishop's was as good as ever. Some unobtrusive screens were placed between tables but the atmosphere and service was just as normal. A lovely evening with tasty, interesting food.

This in my opinion is the best restaurant in Norwich the food is excellent . There are not many places in Norwich Norwich that offer fine dining the menu is superb. I also feel that the price is no too expensive based on the amazing dining experience. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overly so.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and very convivial patron. Good choice of beautifully presented and very enjoyable dishes. Social distancing was maintained by unobtrusive screens.

Great food & excellent service. The ambience won’t necessarily be to everyone’s taste as it can be quite noisy at peak times. For the quality, very reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great food in an intimate setting. Maybe too intimate during this period of distancing. Tables were very close though some did have plastic separators between guests

Our "go to" restaurant for any celebration or when we feel like a treat. Menu choice always interesting and delicious. Really enjoyed the PB & J dessert! Service always attentive, timely and friendly. Ambience not too affected by covid and presence of opaque screens hardly noticable. Lunch / Dinner Service equally enjoyed but this time it was our 20th Wedding Anniversary Dinner Celebration.

Just amazing. Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The pork belly starter was sublime. Good value for money. Certainly our new go to restaurant. Cannot recommend enough.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience from beginning to end. Delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

The best meal I've had out in ages. The flavours, textures, the look of the food - all were perfectly balanced and delightful. The portions where exactly the right size so that it was possible to enjoy the three courses and little extras without coming away feeling over full. Those little extras were wondeful too - simple, perfect little rolls with creamy salted butter and truffles and fruit confit, creamy and packing a delicious final sharp punch were real eye-openers. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you!
