Bistecca by Il Mulino
Zucchini, cherry peppers, marinara
Wild mushrooms, cherry peppers
Love the food! Hate having to walk through the smokey casino, but the food is great. Will try something different next time! 😊
The food was amazing! Unfortunately the rest of the experience was less impressive. We waited 8 minutes after being seated before someone approached us. The only reason I know if was 8 minutes is the manager approached us and apologized for us waiting 8 minutes and bought us a round of drinks. We waited at least another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our appetizers came out quickly and then we waited and waited for our entrees and next round of drinks. Our waitress was non existent. She just seemed to disappear. It was very surprising to us knowing the reputation and prior experiences we've had with Il Mulino restaurants. It was not even a busy night. I could not imagine what the service would be like if it had been.
Pricey and had some issues. We expected better service. The filets were perfect but the service was rough.
Always great at Bistecca we had an excellent meal and outstanding service!
Our favorite place in the Poconos!!!!
Very good experience, only complaint is the amount of time it took before we got our drinks and we ordered food
The food was outstanding. There was chaos with your waiters. We had to different waiters and drink orders were wrong on three different occasions, waited long periods of time for a waiter came back to our table, and at times they looked confused. I would recommend my friends/family and I would come back to dine because of the food.
We had gone for my daughter’s 25th birthday... the food was very good and servers were nice. They even brought my daughter a plate with Happy Birthday on it and chocolate wine on it for everyone at the table!!!...except for her friend that was pregnant. Only thing that was disappointing to us is how LONG the meal took. We had appetizers, entrees, and desserts. We were there for 3 hours. We do like to relax and take our time eating and not to we rushed. However, when you arrive at 7:30pm, you don’t expect to leave at 10:30pm.
This was my first visit here. The food was absolutely amazingly incredible. We ordered & shared plates. Butternut squash ravioli & the veal tenderloin. The veal was just completely well prepared & cooked to perfection. The ravioli was also cooked to perfection & tasted wonderful! We will definitely be coming back!!
We decided to take a weekend away on whim. I made reservations for 6pm Saturday and we are certainly glad we decided to go here. The food was amazing but what made our night that much better was our outstanding waiter. I really wish we could remember his name. We even waited a few minutes after we were done to see if the manager would come back so we could tell him about our amazing experience. The food was cooked to perfection and perfect portions. The waiter checked in often and was by far one of the most polite and personable waiters we've ever encountered. I can honestly say I have never in my life had a waiter shake my hand and say it had been his pleasure to serve us at the end of our meal!
LIGHTING A LITTLE TOO LOW. MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD. SHOULD BE "BACKGROUND MUSIC" NOT TO THE POINT PEOPLE HAVE TO RAISE THEIR VOICES TO TALK OVER IT. SERVICE WAS GREAT WITH EXCEPTION THAT MEAL TOOK QUITE AWHILE TO COME FROM KITCHEN. I DID ASK A MAN IN CHARGE TO LOWER MUSIC AND HE HANDLED MY COMPLAINT EXTREAMLY WELL. HE HAS GOOD "PEOPLE SKILLS". NICE TO SEE THAT. WILL SEE YOU AGAIN.
Me and my wife eat there for dinner very good service very good food
It was the most AWESOME!!!!! dining experience I have had in long time
Very good and the pre fix at $39 is a great value
Excellent and Brittany at the bar is terrific!
I had the branzino. It was excellent, but the potion of 6 ounces was small for the 42 dollar cost
We ate at the bar. Brittany was the bartender and server both nights. She is a gem. Professional, personable and excellent at what she does. They are lucky to have her.
We had high expectations for Bistecca but our experience did not match. Staff was friendly but wait times for drinks and food were exceptionally long. Good was good but the prices were exorbitant.
Amazing from the time you are seated. The bread is absolutely delicious. They bring a delightful whipped butter and a Tamponade.
The appetizers are a great portion to share. The truffle fries is enough for a table of 4. the lobster bisque is liquid gold. Pure deliciousness. All the ingredients in every dish is so fresh! We dined here 2 times and each time was truly delicious. There wasn’t one thing I would change. The whole experience was super. The wait staff is so attentive. We will surely return soon.
Exceptional service and every course was delicious!
Horrible experience start to finish. Had an 8pm reservation, did not get seated right away even though there were tables open. It took forever for someone to get us water, let alone take our drink order. Our food came out an hour after we ordered it, and one entree was wrong. The waitress offered to bring us a shrimp cocktail on the house, although we already had a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer.... not comping the one we had offering another one while knowing one of the two people at the table was a vegetarian...? Then the manager was walking around offering free rounds of drinks to guest for the delays and never came to us, meanwhile our food was just as delayed and wrong on top of it. The food was as bland as could be and my husbands steak was not cooked how he requested it but he was to hungry to return it... we spent two hours there mostly just waiting. Not to mention hearing the waitstaff complain to each other and even the manager about whatever was going on. So unprofessional.
We tried Bistecca for the first time and quickly realized this is our new date night dinner spot! Food was delicious, portion sizes are great and the service was quick and very friendly. A must try is the fresh mozzarella, tomato and arugula salad appetizer. The freshest, creamiest mozzarella ever! The bread basket is wonderful too. Two kinds of bread perfectly warmed with spreadable butter and a tomato garlic like jam. The best part was the chicken parm. I don't know how they do it but the light crispy breading makes this so unique. Looking forward to our next dinner experience with them.
Main server took our order while two other servers cleared table. There was a long wait for server to come over. I was served the wrong meal, so my friend's meal hot cold waiting for me. When we asked for bread, we were told they didn't have any left. Our original main server never came back to our table to check on us. Manager did take my meal off the bill. Food was very good, but service was poor.
Possibly the worst restaurant I have ever visited. The food was not edible. The bread was old, my steak was too salty to even eat (and I asked for no salt). I was disappointed from beginning to end. This restaurant bears no resemblance to any other Il Mulino I have dined at.
Best Dinner we had in a Year...
Go out 5/6 times a month....
From the time we arrived the staff was very pleasant. The service was very good. The menu and the wine menu have a lot to choose from.
Christine was an amazing server
Nice Asian flare food restaurant. Delicious food. A little cramped seating.
But, the smell of cigarette smoke, while dining, is really disgusting.
At no fault of this restaurant. All eateries at this Hotel/Casino are on the Casino level,
which means, lots of smoke. Every single place we ate stunk like cigarettes.
My nose and eyes were suffering most of the weekend there.
With that being said, we loved the place. This restaurant was really worth the visit.
Maybe, just better ventilation for us, non-smokers, and those affected by second-hand smoke.
Food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend the Cowboy steak for two. Perfect medium rare. Perfect Valentine’s Day dinner 💗💗
Nice atmosphere, great food and service. We will definitely be going back.
Located within the Mount Airy Casino, the restaurant was probably one of the better option for a nice dinner. Since we made a reservation, we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The food was pretty good. The service could have been somewhat faster since we waited pretty long to get our wine and bread, but otherwise, the fairly young staff tried their best.
The restaurant atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding. The food was delicious, overall a great dinner
Not pleasantly satisfied like in past visits. Prices have gone up and portion sizes the same or have gone down. Menu has been the same for quite some time now, so I think they should look into updating it with some new items. I would return again though.
I have wanted to try this restaurant for years. We had concert tix at Mt. Airy, so this was the perfect opportunity. We shared a seafood tower, grilled octopus and grilled artichokes. Two of us had the Pappardelle and my husband had the swordfish. Everything was absolutely delish. I was so full, I barely touched my pasta. Unfortunately, they wouldn't permit my to go container in the concert venue, so it got discarded. I was really sad about that! I wonder if I might have left it at Valet? It was so refreshing to have such well trained staff. Our servers were excellent, and we appreciated that they were conscious of our time constraint with the concert. It was $500 for three diners, so I would say it's a special occasion treat for us. (that included cocktails and a lovely bottle of wine) Our experience was Excellent. I have been telling everyone about it.
The food was really good, but not the best I’ve had for the price of the food. Very nice restaurant, not too big. Nice ambiance for a date/occasion or just a nice dinner out. They may have been understaffed server/bartender wise as it took a little while to get our drinks. The two back waiter/food runners were great though very polite and quick to attend to us. Overall I would recommend this place
Fantastic as always. They had a special $39 dinner , App, dinner and desert. We thought it would be smaller portions but it was not!!. I had the Mozzarella and tomato salad, Filet Medallions with peppercorn sauce, spinach and a crispy potato patty and gelato for desert all Gluten free!!. The salad was great, only need some balsamic which they brought me, the filets(2 of them) were done perfectly and so tender. My husband had the Caesar salad , same entree as me and Tiramisu, his was fantastic also. Michael Gavin and Jean our waiters were fantastic-they deserve a gold star!!. We always have a fantastic meal here.
Highly recommend the swordfish and the short rib ravioli. The service was impeccable and timed perfectly.
We came to celebrate our friends birthday day and from the website thought this restaurant would fit the bill for an upscale dinner. Unfortunately it was not. Our server was excellent but the lobster bisque was not. It tasted as if someone forgot to dilute the stock and had way too strong of a fishy taste. Then the octopus which was tough and chewy. The aracini was good and the lettuce salad was mediocre. We were going to be order entrees but because of what we'd eaten already decided to just have desert. Again the cheesecake was good but it didn't taste like cheesecake. For the money we spent it truly was a fail.
Good atmosphere and service was excellent. Food was overpriced though but was very good.
Food was very good. It's a bit high priced and everything is al cart.
