Outstanding value for the cost, super fresh and delicious!
The meal was fantastic, service was great, the noise level was very loud. We were a table
of four ladies and could not chat over dinner the noise level was so loud. I do understand with
the design of the building it would be difficult to control the noise from taveling, but that was
my only disappointment. We had not seen each other for over a year and not being able to
chat over dinner was dissapointing.
Meal and Sevice was impeccable.
Our Waitress was unknowledgeable about the menu. Wine menu was limited to VQA wines only. We were not impressed by the food, although the abundance of fresh ingredients growing in the gardens should have made for a very fresh a delicious meal.
The location and view overlooking the gardens was nice but we won’t be returning any time soon!!
Hi Randy Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that your server was not familiar with the menu. It is part of their training, learning outcomes and the ability to tell our story. We take all feedback on menu and wine into consideration. We are about to change to our fall/ winter menu so this is useful for that process. Should you wish to discuss your experience further please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org Regards Kelly
We all agreed that the creativity in presentation and unique use of spices was outstanding. The service was thoughtful, informative and professional.
Always tasty and a hit with everyone I’ve brought there. The fact that the menu changes seasonally is a testament makes it easy to come back time and again. If you don’t know, they grow many of the foods used in their menu in the grounds surrounding the restaurant, which makes it super fresh. Looking forward to my return.
Food and service were very good. The view over the garden was wonderful and it was good to know our food was fresh and grown in our local community. We brought family from Australia and had an enjoyable time. Thanks!
LOVED everything about Bistro 67 and will be returning very soon.
Good food, fresh, tasty. Service was excellent, enthusiastic. Only grumble was the noise level, I think we all struggled with the noise level.
Very nice, would like pop shoppe Back on menu, chairs are very hard
We try to stop in every time we drive from Ottawa to Kitchener. Refreshing change from cookie cutter restaurants.
Great service, food, and value.
This spot remains a favourite among our family and friends. Thank you for never disappointing!
Celebrating a birthday with two guests who had never experienced Bistro 67. They were exceedingly surprised and thrilled with their meals, and the overall ambience. We enjoyed our meal so much we have already booked to return.
Mostly excellent (service, facility). Food was good but not great considering the prices. Great potential for future improvement!
Fresh, delicious choices
Lovely setting overlooking the garden
Wait for app was over 30 mins. Tasty charcuterie board. Salad was extremely sweet! Very unbalanced flavours. Drinks very weak pour. All in all very poor. Won’t be back and won’t recommend to others.
One of my favourite restaurants in Whitby. The food is always fresh and the school grows many of the items they feature in their menu. They also purchase locally grown meats and serve responsibly caught seafood. The entire concept is AMAZING!
Enjoyed it very well. Food, service and environment was great!
Yes if I thought menu to their taste. Food well cooked and presented but I personally prefer simpler dishes
Room very noisy because of group lunch on at the time. My guest was very happy with her meal
Everything was great, the food , the service, it was just a little noisy
This dinner and a movie deal is a great value! I've done it twice now and told all my friends about it and posted it to my facebook page. The only complaint I have about my last visit is that my friend's dinner (pesto pasta) was DRIPPING in oil. There was a solid 1.5 inches of it at the bottom of her bowl. I personally would have sent it back! My Korean burger was awesome and the cheesecake was to DIE FOR! I showed her all around the facility and she was impressed. Loved looking out over the gardens.
Sitting outside by the highway was not great for noise although the garden was nice .
Service was friendly and sincere
Menu was creative but so salty that we felt unwell with swollen feet and hands later
I recently visited Bistro 67 after a couple of years of wanting to try it out. Let me start by saying that it’s a real shame that 905ers were probably waiting 30 minutes for a table nearby at Jack Astor’s or Milestones, when a far superior experience was awaiting at Bistro 67. We had a reservation but there was ample room on the lovely patio which could have accommodated many more diners. As for the patio, I understand it is open on Fridays only. Since Durham seems filled only with patios adjacent to parking lots, I feel like Bistro 67 could benefit from a campaign to promote the patio at the best in the region (and beyond) and have it open every day. The designers did a fantastic job of hiding the fact that the restaurant is nestled between the 401, Thickson Road, and a car dealership. You could pretend you were dining in a more ‘agricultural’ zone, with fruit orchards, a huge pollinating garden, and vast rows of vegetables and greens and berries that serve as the foundation of the dishes. As for the food, I have nothing but good things to say—the size of the menu was perfect: not overwhelming but good seasonal variety. Presentation was great, service very attentive, and it’s so nice to eat a carefully prepared salad that didn’t come out of a bag. We were given a delicious chocolate dessert for our birthday party member (perfect combination of dense fudge cake, crunchy cookie chunks, creamy icing and salt...and I thought I wasn’t a dessert lover!). I only which I could have eaten more of it, but we were so satisfied from our meals and starter we just had to thrown down our forks after a few bites. The chef came out and made the rounds at one point which is always nice. Next time I want to dine inside and check out the views from above.
Had an absolutely wonderful experience! We always enjoy eating the delicious fresh food and chatting with the friendly staff.
This was by far the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had. The food was incredible! We loved our Jerk chicken and salmon. The tandoori cauliflower was out of this world! There was an explosion of flavour with every bite. Our server, Caitlin, made us feel like we were at home chatting with a friend and the other Kaitlyn offered us a tour of the fields and green houses after dinner. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about process of growing and harvesting food. It is very evident that everything from the food, to the service is done with love. I can’t wait to visit again.
Our friends my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I loved that we could have DC vegetables with our dinner. Nicole our waitress was amazing. Bistro 67 is my favourite restaurant in Durham region.
The appetizers and dessert were ok, but salmon entree was excellent. Everything was fresh though, and service was attentive. Overall I would recommend.
Have been twice now. Was great both times. Gardens where a lot of the veggies come from is right out the windows. The cucamelin gin smash was a great before dinner drink and I had the penne with mushroom cream sauce and my wife had baked eggplant. Was wonderful!
Will definitely come back looking forward to see what dishes you make in the fall using squash an pumpkin hopefully
Good food, great serivce, great place. Went here for our anniversary. They said happy anniversary as soon as we walked in and also offered chocolate covered strawberries on the house for our anniversary as well. Place was amazing. Will definitely be back
Peter Stewart and staff never disappoint, Peter and the staff always have a few moments to chat and explain menu and gardens
The wait staff were excellent - very informative and friendly. Food was superb. We ate on the patio, a retaining wall to block the 401 view and noise would be ideal. Otherwise it was perfect, your gardens are very impressive. Looking forward to returning.
Such a lovely lunch for my aunt's birthday, overlooking the garden. Love that they provided a map of the garden layout. Food was wonderfully flavourful, interesting ingredients used creatively. Staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Will be back soon
Appetizers were better than the entree. More flavour needed
Did not care for the sourdough croutons. Added nothing to the meal. The sous chef approached us on the way out and listened to our comments. We loved the layout and the view. We were invited to go check out the garden. We had never had fried green tomatoes. They and the sauce were wonderful. The salmon was seasoned and perfectly cooked. An overall lovely experience. Can’t wait to go again
Bistro 67 is a hidden gem. I adore the location, the great view of the farm, and the food. This restaurant is a shining light for Durham Region!
Service was great and generous portions of food. Just not to our tastes.
Very good service and interesting seasonal menu. Food was served hot and was fresh.
My second visit. my first was fantastic on all accounts. This one was disappointing and I blame it mostly on the choices available for the entrees.good for adding vegan choices bad for a lack non vegan choices., salsa seemed to be a theme Local???. appetizers were wonderful and if I I went back tomorrow I would probably order extra apps and forget the main course. Dessert needs more WOW! Great staff!!
The food was exceptional
The chef was able to modify my dish with no pasta but more veggies it was delicious!!!!!
