One of our favorite BYOBs in the city. Staff is always so nice and the food is always excellent. We are practically regulars now.
Great food good value!
Food was very bland-I don't think they used ANY garlic! Had to put cheese and red sauce to get flavor. The Branzino was a little mushy.
Very good service
Consistently delicious and amazing staff!!! We eat outside every time - not too cold / very comfortable, and not too noisy even though outside- super cozy and lovely ♥️
Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Our waiter was sweet, informative and helpful. We didn’t wait long for our food and we were not rushed out. Everyone was wearing a mask and we felt safe dining in there. A very pleasant experience.
My boyfriend and I went for Valentine's Day and they had a prefixed menu which was expensive but the food was very good. The outdoor dining setup is really nice and the heat lamps are extremely warm. However, the service was horrendous. The waitress seemed rushed and didn't check on us once after taking our orders. After we asked for the check, we waited 40 minutes until we could leave. I have to say that I have been here in the past and the service was much better so may have just been the night.
Complete menu, tasteful food and great service.
Let me begin by saying the food was great! I brought a nice bottle of French white and I left happier than I went in. If you are going expecting a great ambiance and great service you will be disappointed but the food is worth the anguish caused by everything else. If you want to sit and have a good meal and not feel rushed it’s a great spot and make sure to bring your wine.
Love this place! Started dining outdoors there during the pandemic and keep coming back. We chose to dine here to celebrate a birthday and dined inside for the first time. Tables were very well spaced out and we felt comfortable the entire time. The service is always great, everyone is friendly and we never have to wait long for our food. They even brought out a dessert for my partner for his birthday. The food is delicious, especially the branzino. A great, quiet neighborhood spot. Great value and atmosphere.
Best food best vibes AMAZING
The food was tasty. Decided to try dining outside in the winter and it was more tolerable than anticipated. The salmon risotto was delicious. The service was courteous and friendly. Highly recommended!!!! Great selection of meal choices.
Great food great service great price! Nice private outside space with heater
La Baia has always been one of our favorite BYOs in the city. The food is spectacular and the service is wonderful. They are all so kind.
Great night!
Bistro la Baia has done a phenomenal job in creating a cozy dining experience outside with some of the best heaters!!! We were able to take off our coats and dine comfortably. Service was fantastic and the food was superb. We cannot wait to go back!
Couldn’t have been a more perfect NYE
Service and food was amazing. Highly recommend woman that hosted and served us was top notch
It was a very nice experience; the food was great too!
Pre Christmas dinner was wonderful! Great food and great service!
Awesome Italian in Philly plus BYOB ! Went during the pandemic where we could only eat outside, they kept us feeling warm and were very tentative. The owners are AMAZING, truly Italian and super kind...was so happy to give them business during this time. The food itself is WOW, we all got different dishes & for myself I got the Lobster Ravioli which was divine. The break was homemade as well and we couldn’t stop eating it! Finished off with a nice Limoncello shot ... will be back for sure!
Terrific food. Try the Funghi with Shrimp appetizer...
Food and service was great, outside area is very nice and in a great area of Philly
Great service, amazing food and sitting outside wasn’t bad with the heat lamps!! We will be back!!!
Simply delicious every time it’s such a neighborhood gym I pray to God it makes it through this I love the outdoor seating it’s not those Covid bubbles that most people are making it’s really sweet and delicious and well priced in addition it’s a BYOB and they take credit cards
I absolutely love Bistro La Baia. Food is exceptional and dining experience is as well.
Small Italian neighborhood gem! Amazing Italian food and outdoor dining with heat lamps during Covid.
This was my third time eating there. The food is great, love the warm bread they serve. The staff is great, it is always a pleasure talking to the waitress. Bistro La Baia is a really nice BYOB spot. Will definitely go back again.
We discovered this restaurant during lock down... we ordered delivery as we wished to patronize small businesses. Best take out/delivered food ever! So impressed I actually emailed them to tell them how good their food is and that when the world opens up we will eat there! This time food was delicious! Menu is small but everything we had was great. The Italian sausage with homemade noodles was beyond good! We had the eggplant rollatini as a shared appetizer nicely prepared. I had chicken Marsala also good but I loved the mixed vegetables served with it! We enjoyed so much we who rarely order dessert took a Tiramusi home to share. It was homemade and amazing and worth every calorie!
Had a great meal during COVID with friends. Outdoor dining was in a quiet area. Food was big portions. Delicious. Service was slightly slow - but we enjoyed the time.
I've been there several times. I like to support family businesses. And byob is always good. This was a busy night. Took about an hour to get our food. Food thing we brought wine. The service is just OK. They just take the order and serve, so it's basic. Not bad, just basic. The wait did not bother me much this time because they probably suffered during the lock down, so it was nice to see that they had a busy night. And the food is always good.
Pretty good overall, but not great. Probably wouldn’t go back.
the service was very slow, as we waited over twenty minutes after being seated to even have a waitress/waiter ask about drinks or even give or us know about the menu. each course took a long time to come out as well, down to ya having to ask for the check after being there for over an hour half
Found this little slice of Italy while searching for a restaurant for Restaurant Week and let me tell you, it’s fantastic. Everything from the feel of the place to our waiter (who was clearly Italian). The food was delicious! So happy we decided to come here. Will definitely be going back!
Waited 15 minutes to be seated for a 2 person reservation that was confirmed at 7. Really bland food and below average service. Understandable during COVID but expected more for restaurant work. Bathroom is also kind of gross and not well kept. Too many good BYOBs in the area to go back.
My girlfriend and I had a lovely dinner. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. The service was good I have no complaints.
We have always enjoyed this restaurant. We went that nite for Restaurant Week. We asked for bread and was told that it wasn’t included with our meal during Restaurant Week..... we found this to be unusual and couldn’t understand why they did this. Bread???? Otherwise, the food is consistently good and the location is great- quiet and very safe for outside dining. We will go back, bread hopefully included.
Hadn't been here in several years and took advantage of an open reservation slot Saturday evening. Food was as good as I remembered and the waitstaff was especially helpful and courteous to our 11 year old son.
Salmon Risotto was excellent but the homemade pasta with sausage was overcooked.
Food was great! What a nice experience! Highly recommend!
The food and service was really great. The food was well prepared and the pasta was perfect. Everyone was attentive and friendly.
