Bix Bistro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Breakfast at the restaurant features such fare as Omelets, steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict, buttermilk Pancakes, and French toast. Lunch and dinner fare at Bix Bistro features appetizers, salads and main courses. Menu selections include Scallops, Steak Crostinis, Bruschetta, Blackhawk Salad, Apple Pork Chop Pork, Bone-In Ribeye, Steak Poivre, Salmon, Duck , Herb Roasted Chicken and a Vegetarian Pasta Dish. We have a great dessert selection that includes a few house-made desserts that are prepared at our sister hotel The Current Iowa by Chef Andrea. Our cocktail menu is hand crafted by trained mixologists and updated seasonally, offered along side an extensive wine menu both by the glass and bottle.

Only had enough ingredients for one rosemary cosmos Drinks took about 30 min to arrive Food took about an hour One person never got the soup Had to ask for extra rolls twice One person’s steak too well done and then too rare

The food was horrible! My husband got the New York strip & it was extremely tough & chewy! Mashed potatoes were ice cold. I had bacon wrapped scallops-tough, chewy & cold! Very expensive in which We are ok with the price if the food is worthy! Server was very good & apologetic!

Service and food arrival was very slow. There was only one server who was also the bar tender. Food was not very good. Have been there before and everything was great. This time bad experience for a $300 bill. Won’t be back.

Food was fine, timing on food was a bit off. Waited a bit for salad and appetizer, but then the main course was brought almost immediately before we could enjoy the salad. That said, the food was very good.

I've dined here several times in the past. The food was okay, with the desserts being exceptional. However, the service leaves a bit to be desired. It seems our server wasn't able to refill the water within a reasonable time nor was he able to bring an extra plate and some silverware when asked more than one time.

Went for brunch on Sunday. The freshly made omelette was great. The carved prime rib was tough, lacked flavor, seemed old. I only had the breakfast potatoes as a side and did not care for them. I tried the cheesecake and was underwhelmed. The endless mimosas are 98% orange juice. With that being said, our service was excellent & the atmosphere is very nice.

Bix Bistro has excellent food, service and atmosphere. Everything was well kept and we throughly enjoyed our dinner and server.

The presidential pork chop changed, no longer the same. Now you get two dry chops. Only one dinner gf choice, no starters or appetizers are gf. Not the same place we loved at all, extremely disappointed. Won’t be back!

Our waiter, Zach, was attentive and friendly. The food and location downtown was great. We will definitely go back.
