Beautiful food and cocktails. Also great value for money, so impressed.
Generally a good meal. The octopus strarter has jus three pieces of octopus! However, what there was, was good. The waiting staff weren’t very attentive.
Great Service. Friendly people. Recommended to anyone
The restaurant was great from layout through to service but the weakest part was the actual food unfortunately (drinks downstairs in the bar however were really nice). We all had different things from the menu and portion sizes were unnecessarily small, tasty enough but all on the small side.
It was a really nice evening. The food was very good I liked it a lot. Service was nice and friendly but unfortunately not quite attentively.
But we will go again.
Great little spot for brunch. We were served by a very lovely french girl, the service was attentive and friendly. Our food arrived promptly and it was delicious.
The portions were tiny. Can’t believe I paid £17 for a very small ball of pasta. The dessert was nothing like described on the menu, so I was very disappointed even without the fact that it was £7. Also, the waiter didn’t know what was in the green veg side dish. He told me green beans and it was Pak Choi...
Food was nice. Was a bit odd that we had to choose between set menu and al la cart, we both had to have the same... why?
Food was ok. restaurant was a bit too cool (cold) for my comfort
Limited brunch menu. Zero deviation from the menu. Limited wine selection. Will not go back on a Sunday
A very charming restaurant with friendly service. Had a lovely lunch and look forward to eating here again. The cocktails are delicious!
Blixen has a really great menu and friendly staff in a nice location. A good place to meet up with friends.
Excellent service and delicious tasty food in a stylish yet comfortable setting. We were so fortunate as we booked at short notice and were blown away by the yummy food.
The food here was great. We were initially placed on a small noisy table so asked if we could move to the kitchen bar seats. These seats were great and we got a full view of the Kitchen. Apart from our initial seating, this was a really good and enjoyable experience.
Amazing seafood! We especially loved the scallops.
Really nice atmosphere, and a lovely environment for an intimate date. However, my sea bass main was very salty and the waitress did not come back to check or ask if everything was ok with our meal.
Very nice restaurant. Great food but a little salty. Great service. Very nice indeed.
Great food and range of choices. Nice wine. Would recommend.
Yes for food and service but need to ensure more comfortable seating.
Great dinner to catch up after work
Amazing restaurant! Lovely atmosphere and staff, and the food is incredible. Would definitely recommend.
Great food, would have appreciated larger portions! Also Bloody Marys were pretty forgettable - a brunch menu in east London really needs to have that sort of thing nailed. Otherwise, great, and lovely setting.
Delicious food from an interesting menu. Great staff and quick service.
My wife and I enjoyed a lunch with excellent service throughout. Relaxed atmosphere and surroundings added to the positivity of the experience with just one minor negative to prompt a comment. Both of us felt our main courses could have been served ‘hotter’. Some argue that food that is too hot denies you enjoying the flavours of the meal but our personal preference is for food to be hot. We both wish to emphasise that this should not be interpreted as a huge criticism
The 3 starters chosen were rather disappointing, the pedrones and the butternut salad did not have much taste but the cod cakes and their sauce were delicious. Then the 3 main dishes we had were equally delicious but we had to wait about 20-25 minutes between starters and main which ruin our appetite a little. But again the mains were very nice, especially the one with saukraut and beef. last but not least, our drinks were a little bit unexpected, it was a bit difficult to have an idea of the mix juices proposed on the menu although very original but the cocktail was delicious. Overall, we were very happy to eat at the back of the restaurant, surrounded by plants and the waitresses were nice and helpful.
Fantastic place. Absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere. Service sometimes a little slow to react but can highly recommend!
Asked waitress whether the casing on the sausage was beef or pork. Said she was pretty sure it was pork, but wasn’t 100%. Seemed hesitant and frustrated about having to go and check with the kitchen regarding this. It was only when it was ascertained that she was 100% sure that she went and asked. Just because it says pork sausage on the menu does not always mean all constituents of it are pork, there’s many pork sausages that have a beef or lamb casing.
It’s quite a simple question, I appreciate it was a busy time but when you’re paying on higher end to get a cooked breakfast, and you have religious reasons for asking, I don’t see what the problem is. Also no butter offered with the toast and no condiments offered.
Took ages for my friend to get a drink ordered.
Giraffe or Wetherspoons have better service
Service aside, food was great.
We went for celebration new year and Independence Day for Britain. We had table in their garden area and it’s quiet and nice. The staff were friendly and service was great. My starter butternut squash was very disappointing, the dumplings was hard and chewy. Very all was good place for meeting people.
Fabulous food, cooked and presented perfectly in a lovely environment. Like the way the restaurant is divided into sections each with unique feel.
Great place within Spitafields markets for Brunch, dinner, the food and selection was good for brunch, the decoration of the restaurant is great too, the perfect place to hide indoors for a cold and wet winter day!
Took a gamble to travel from Marble Arch to Shoreditch for Sunday brunch all based on the Time Out review. Delicious, inventive food, excellent coffee.
It was good food and ambience, maybe a bit pricey for the food. It was a shame that there was a charge for bringing a birthday cake which we in the end refused. There are plenty of places that don’t do a cakeage charge so will go there next time
The starters were delicious. I felt like the pork belly was to hard and the duck was too chewy. But overall the restaurant experience was very good. Thank you for allowing us to dine.
Third time at Blixen over the last couple of months, another very enjoyable meal. Nice decor, food was good and friendly and efficient service. Nice place for a conversation.
Had an enjoyable lunch at Blixen last week. My husband and I both went for one of the daily specials - the skate - and it was delicious. Good selection of wines available by the glass and carafe. Service was good. This was our second visit and we would return.
Food amazing love the pulled pork doughnuts and skillet of beef with excellent friendly service
Good choice for informal lunch, decent menu and reasonable prices
Excellent appetizers and entrées, fun cocktails, convenient location. Good for dates or business meals.
Loved Blixen, environment was trendy and relaxing. Delicious coffee and food ....it was a great brunch menu. Only downside was our waitress who was quite off hand because we did not order straight away, reminding us we needed to be out within 90 mins !! The whole family felt offended !! Such a shame but we will be back despite the waitress !
Excellent service and food
The food was so terribly average - flavour combinations that didn’t work; over seasoned; small portions.
Service was bad: no front of house; slow service; no bread offered at the beginning of meal; no side plates offered with bread; whilst order was being taken, waitress walked off mid order with no explanation; poured still water into a water glass that still had sparkling water in it.
Wine was warm.
This used to be quite a good restaurant. Won’t return.
