Overall, I was pleased with the experience. Food was great, service was OK (a little slow, but very attentive and pleasant and you weren't constantly checked up on, which was nice) Good options, big portions, and a nice vibe. I plan on going back again.

This was our first visit and definitely won't be our last. The food was absolutely fantastic and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our whole group agreed that the southwestern corn chowder was some of the best soup we've ever had. My shrimp and avocado burrito was huge and came with plenty of rice and beans on the side.

The food was outstanding. This was on a busy weekend (Travers). I had the fish tacos on blue corn tortillas. My buddy had the crispy chicken mole. Both were delicious. They were also served promptly. The owner came around and asked how everything was. He was very professional and also added a personal touch. Great experience. I will be back.

We had a great meal at BA after the races. There was music and seating outdoors too! The Mexican food was plentiful and delicious.

We came here after track on a Monday for Daughters 30 birthday on recommdation of a friend. Not located in main happening part of the town, but near far end of track in a neighborhood. Also not much too look at in or out, booths could use some updating. Having said all that.. Food, drinks, service were all great and reasonably priced. Would come again.

We are a local Saratoga family and went to Blue Agave on Friday night August 12th, 2016 with a group of 7. We had been three nights before and had a good experience on a Tuesday night, but they were understaffed for a Friday night. It took 25 minutes for us to get a server's attention (we had to get up and ask to be served) and 35 minutes to get a drink. The food service was also very very slow. We had been excited to share what had been a good experience with our family and friends and left feeling as though we wouldn't go back. That said, try the Elderberry margarita.

I read some of the negative reviews about Blue Agave, and I wondered if we dined at the same as place. I live in Arizona, and I know good Mexican food. The tortilla soup is the best I've had, and the guacamole was top notch. The service was fast and friendly and the margaritas - while strong - were impeccable. We watched the bartender make them, and there was no mix. The limes were squeezed freshly, and all of the other ingredients were added individually. We've had Mexican food elsewhere in Saratoga, and this is the best by far. You won't be disappointed.

This is Mecican for foodies. They do it all from scratch, and the sauces taste it. Very good beef short rib enchiladas. And they pickle their own vegetables. It is Mexican with flair, care, and a lighter touch.

Our waitress and other servers were very nice and attentive but the food just isn't that good really. We had a combination of tacos and enchiladas. Best of the tacos was the crispy cod. Our Margaritas were so strong we could barely drink them. Made with a very heavy hand and not the hand of a skilled bartender. With so many food options in Saratoga Springs I think they need to step it up a bit.

There was no sign outside the restaurant and it looked very disheveled. Inside was also very shabby and poorly lit.

We waited about 30 min to get our weak margaritas. The guacamole was mediocre at best and small portioned.

We didn't get our entrees for over 90 minutes. A table of 11 came in after us and got served before us. Needless to say we won't be going back.

The lobster empinada was delicious. The rest of the meal was nothing special. Service was slow, 30 minutes to get drinks. Meals were all brought out at different times and we were given the wrong bill.

I chose this Restaurant for my Birthday celebration. When we arrived I thought the outside looked very shabby but I know it is fairly new and what mattered most to me was the quality of the food & beverage and the service. When we entered the Dining Room it was oppressively hot...I asked the Waitress if there was something wrong with the AC & she replied "we don't have any". Then I looked at the Booth...the seats were all peeling, they looked overly worn & most uninviting. In that moment I wanted to leave...what a shame I did not! The food was horrible, including the fresh guacamole which was really a disappointment, and very little for the price. I ordered a Margarita and it was the WORST Margarita I have ever had. I called the Busgirl & asked if I could have something else in it's place and she was very surly. The waitress came and graciously took the Margarita away and replaced it with a mediocre Mojito. Later she told me she tasted the Margarita and agreed it was terrible!! Entrees were ok, nothing I would return for. Dessert was nice and complimentary because of my Birthday, thought that was very nice but could not make up for the food and dining experience..oh and the Ladies Room was very dirty, door locks did not work and there was no toilet paper in one stall..ugh! I used to go there when it was Leon's & was sad when it closed. When I saw in the Saratogian Blue Agave had opened up I was so excited but boy was I mistaken...would not return, especially in the summer!! NEED A LOT OF WORK AND REWORKING TO SURVIVE!!

We met friends to try Blue Agave for the first time. The waitress was excellent, warm and knowledgeable. We found the drinks to be weak, sadly, but our food was quite tasty and reasonably priced. Our Beer drinkers would have liked a better selection.

Fabulous meal at Blue Agave - we had various tacos and they were all terrific. We also really enjoyed their Diva margaritas and the outdoor patio. Wonderful addition to the Saratoga area!

I enjoyed the music and how chill the restaurant was. We had great service! The food was good. The bacon queso quac hit the spot. The flavors of my crispy cod tacos with cumin lime sour cream combined with my mango haberno cocktail were a perfect pairing! I'd rec that they stop charging for rice and sour cream though.

I have nothing good to say about this restaurant. The food was terrible and the service was slow. The wait staff was not knowledge about their tequila selection despite billing themselves as a tequila bar. They couldn't even provide me with a list of their tequila. The drink I did get was terrible. Of the four of us that went, none of us was satisfied with our meal or drink. We ended up going to Cantina after our meal to salvage the night and they were wonderful there. I would recommend to anyone thinking of going to Blue Agave that they skip it and make a reservation at Cantina instead.

Our party of four had a fabulous time, not to mention outstanding food.
We were treated like we were someone "special".
Excellent service. The chef even came out to see if everything was prepared to our liking.
Couldn't have planned a more pleasant evening!

Thank you Brad, Patrick and the entire Blue Agave staff!

Blue Agave is the new restaurant in an old location. I was curious to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is very clean and fresh. It's only been open about two months - I would recommend it to others and I will be back. They have some room to improve outdoor dining space and I would love to see them do that. Here's hoping.

Excited to try a new Mexican restaurant, we decided to give Blue Agave a try. We arrived just before it got busy and were seated immediately. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Now the negatives.

It took almost 25 minutes to get our drinks because of snafus at the bar. We had already ordered and eaten our appetizer before our Diva Margheritas arrived. It wasn't worth the wait. They were weak and lacked any meaningful flavor...barely could taste the tequila.

The Ahi Tuna tostada appetizer was boarderline flavorless. Maybe it would have paired well with the watery Margherita, if we had it at he time we were eating.

We ordered entree special which was duck. Again, completely disappointed. The sauce looked rich and inviting but again was lacking in flavor.

Maybe we were completely unlucky but with given that this was across the board in everything we ordered, I won't be returning.

They let liquor license lapsed the one weekend I decided to try the place so I didn't get to have the full experience. No one was there and I couldn't have a Margarita. They were courteous to call and let us know and offered to reschedule but it was a half hour before our reservation. They did compensate with a free appetizer next visit. I will return to get the full experience of Margaritas and the real atmosphere and try other dishes. The crispy cod tacos were quite good but I didn't care for the red sauce on the chicken enchiladas.

The drinks were good, as were the appetizers and dessert. The service was ridiculously slow, to the the point of us having to go up to the bar and retrieve our drinks (which were made incorrectly the second time) because we hadn't seen our waitress in so long. There were 8 tables and 2 waitresses when we were there for dinner. We maybe saw our waitress 3 times. The mole sauce had a distinctive smoky flavor to it, like nothing I've ever tasted and not in a good way. I think we will stick to the other Mexican restaurants in Saratoga where they have their menu and service down pat.

Terrific bar scene, fantastic margaritas, a to die for tequila selection. Fresh food made with quality ingredients. What more can you ask for? Definitely go.
The fell is rustic and a work in progress you can tell. But I really like what these people are doing. It's going to be one of those restaurants that evolves into something great.

On 3/12/16, my wife and I decided to try the Blue Agave in Saratoga Springs along with two other couples. I had first made reservations via “Open Table” for 7pm that evening.
We were seated promptly and once all of our party arrived we ordered drinks and appetizers.
This restaurant can pretty much make any kind of margarita that you might want. My wife and I really like prickly pear so we settled on this drink for the evening.
We tried the Ceviche appetizer and the shrimp was so tender.
Then some guacamole and some “Angry” Queso Fundido, both very excellent, but we were wanting more . . .
My wife and I both had the crispy cod & avocado on a soft flour tortilla.
A perfect blend of fish, slaw and avocado on an excellent tortilla.
There is seating for 80 in the dining room, but at 8 o’clock I only saw 6 empty chairs, so reservations would be suggested.
A special treat was when Chef Pat Longton came out and introduced himself and wanting to know how our meals were. We all thanked him profusely as all of our meals were fantastic and told him we would return very soon.
