Menu overpriced.. tables running by bar horizontally are dreadful to sit at. Bar staff were very unattentive.. struggled to ask for another beer.. then struggled to pay the bill.
Wings were super though
All food didnt come out together we ordered all starters, we had a ask where barvos we ordered. 1 of the slizzing prawns were terrible we told staff to take away from table but was charged to bill. Wings were the nicest dish we ordered. Just overall disappointing
Chicken wings are the best!! Young, hip friendly staff and great atmosphere.
The staff were great and food was as good as always. will be happy to return!
I had dinner here on Saturday for my mams birthday and the service was excellent and also the food will 100% be back especially for the wings the were unbelievable ☺️
Great location for a meal, food is always really good as to is the service, super spot, would highly recommend.
We attended the Blu Bar for a work evening with staff from Ireland Scotland and France everyone was very impressed and we will definitely be back, the only complaint was about the chips (the skinny fries) none of them liked them but the ones that came with the Fish were amazing other wise brilliant night all round, we will be back
Prawn and lobster pasta Thermidor was poor for the price €25 ! Prawns were poor quality should be Dublin bay for that price!
The food was very good and I could not fault any of the food that we got. However, the service was very poor. We are a family with small kids and their food arrived with our starters and they loved it. We finished our starters but when collected, the kitchen was not informed that we had finished our starter and we had a very long wait for our mains while trying to entertain 3 very small kids which made a very unpleasant experience. Also, we had to make multiple requests / reminders that we ordered drinks.
Again the food was very good, just not a very good experience with the staff member who had no idea of the length of time we were waiting and how uncomfortable it is to entertain young children.
We were unable to talk to the manager as were leaving as they were in a discussion with a staff member and our children were very restless and wanted to leave.
Blue Bar was amazing as usual. It is one of my favourite places to eat. For the food and the atmosphere.
Late seating us. Food was cold especially the chips definitely been left for ages disappointing
Wonderful Irish restaurant with a wide selection of different food types. Service was efficient and polite.
I would suggest reservations anytime during the week, otherwise there is a long line of patrons waiting to get into the restaurant. Finally, excellent Guinness
good food and great service! expensive for drinks though!
Great food highly recommend the place
Chicken wings are amazing
It's been a long time since I was handed a decent meal like this, we had a party of 7 and not one of us had any complaints, we were so well looked after by the waiter, he couldn't do enough for us even though he was so busy looking after his busy tables. Friendly faces, pleasant atmosphere, we will definitely be back. Love Blue bar 👌
Amazing restaurant with a view, really tasty food. Certain items on the menu are a little pricy but yet worth it. Our waitress seemed a bit unhappy but overall a good experience and I would come again!!
Love it there, food delicious.
It was lovely but the children's meal could be better value. 10 euro for chicken and another 4 for desert is on the pricey side for casual dining. Food and service was great though.
Wings used to be great, very disappointed on my last few visits to Blue.
Love this place, the cocktails are really good and staff are so lovely and helpful, chicken wings weren’t as good as they usually are, they didn’t taste as fresh as they usually do but other than that everything else was lovely !
Lots of options for kids and adults, food was good and so were portion sizes
Lovely atmosphere inside and outside. Food and cocktails very good and was mostly impressed with the seafood platter. Really good value!
Great staff and food, accommodated with table outside like I requested if possible, highly recommended for a trip out from Dublin to anyone
Really enjoyed the experience.
We had a very enjoyable family meal for 2 adults and 3 kids in Blue Bar
Top class food helpful staff a must visit great kids menu
Visited twice in the last two weeks , servers weren’t very nice both times. Everything else was very good
Service was very slow we were there 1 hour and 40 minutes before we were served our main course, Food was not as good as previous experience we had here and very disappointed with my wife’s Fillet steak who they seemed to forget about as it was not brought out with the rest of our Main Courses and then when it was it was Butterflied obviously to cook quicker. For the prices they charge and the amount we spent between 7 of us I would not be going back again
Amazing food and service, our waitress was very friendly and efficient. They even brought out a dessert with a sparkler candle for my Mam for her 60th birthday which was lovely! Would highly recommend!!
Blue Bar used to be great but the food was gone way down in the last year or so
Service was an absolute disaster ! Food could not be faulted but waiting 50 mins on 1st drink and 1 hr for anyone else to come back to table is unacceptable cannot believe it as usually love blue bar !
Great location and service. Our friends enjoyed their first visit
Great setting and service but food was a bit over cooked.
Just 100% Go for it "I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Food delish, wings speak for themselves. Chicken liver pate was served different for the last time. It was tasty but I preferred the way blue use to serve in the small dish with the butter on top. Over all we all enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend it to friends.
Lovely restaurant and great food 😍
Chicken wings are unreal, we come from tallaght to skerries just for the wings 🤣
Portions are huge..
Don't like the way the wine is served. If I am paying 30 euro for a bottle of wine I would like it to be opened at the table, instead they say that their wine is served from casks in water bottles. Waitress was inattentive.
Been a few times to blue bar but this time the menu had changed. The service was friendly but food standards dropped and overpriced. The food was luke warm, full monty burger was close to inedible with peppercorn relish. Waitress didnt ask if anything was wrong probably knew by what had been eaten. Defo wont be heading back anytime soon
Been loads of time and defo wont be returing to spend 150+€ to be spoken to rudely and left waiting for one persons food for.12 mins after we were served ours terrible service
